Nice uk mullet there mate great fight,funny enough I was out sargo float fishing yesterday afternoon got 6 golden grays,with sargos , been very windy this year so far over here ,haven’t been mullet fishing much,just had afew ok thick lips nothing big yet,been lure fishing loads in big winds for cudas and blues been doing ok at them,starting bass fishing this weekend as there in again here, hopefully get some low winds for the mullet over the next few days,your off to a great start with your mullet season , best of luck with it mate tightlines 😎🐟🇪🇸

Paul, could I ask for your advice please. What 2 piece rod would you recommend for mostly estuary bass fishing casting around 3-4 ounces. I currently have the older Greys BZE 11ft 6in.

Yes the sqidgey black (100% yes lol.) Excellent mullet and you did well to film it. You've had a tough old run of luck in some challenging conditions lately so you deserve that fish! Yes the four twelve! So with the fixed pat method you are more or less ignoring the peck peck peck type of bites and just waiting for the rod to slam over?
😁 I often strike my fish depending on scenario/bite decades of experience carp stalking with bread on the surface enabled me to play double figure fish on same gear
BUT YES if your new at it the fixed twaternoster will slam compared with running ledger because the fish is pulling against the weight and the Rod tip!

Mr Bassman, as I'm sure you know, in recent years mullet stocks have been decimated by over fishing, illegal netting etc.
My mistake and apologies, you must be using a double, but a double is still more likely to foul hook or injure a fish that will hopefully be returned undamaged (and not kept for the smoker) for next time.
Do you need to go to specsavers 🤓🤓🤓🤓 that's just lame mate get your facts right before slating Paul
