frank is doing the 2011 toronto pro, he's back and better than ever. he almost died in that car wreck, he was in the hospital for months and the doctors told him he could never lift again, he got back his muscle that he lost, he said he could barely lift 135 on bench, still has the biggest forearms ever though! check out the muscular devopment website and it shows a video of him training chest at temple gym and he talks about it
watching frank mcgrath in the gym is like watching a lion take down a gazelle. like watching any animal in its natural habitat. a beautiful thing to watch
dont know why people think the working out part of body building is hard. theyre not really "hard hours". its actually really fun to do all that stuff. the hardest part really is all the food you have to shove down your throat and avoiding alchohol.
This is a 24/7 365 sport. Those commenting about steroids have no idea what this sport entails. Try waking up an hour early everyday to do cardio, try setting your alarm on your watch to go off every 2 hrs so you eat, try eating 5k+ kcal a day of good food, try getting 8 hrs of sleep every night, try comprehending nutrient timing and insulin spiking, try understanding the role of glycogen, try to understand that when these guys go to the gym they dont go thru the motions but bust their ass...
"and just always train to failure. go hard or go home..." - that is a really big training misconception. Training to failure all the time you will plateau and get stuck unless your over supplementing. Which I will neither say here nor there on that topic. Your right about 10lbs a month. It is extremely hard and you have to have a wrestlers mentality.
The way i had my workout setup is i go rock bottom for squats. max is 315 x 5 and thats really workn' for me. I started maxing out at 225. So from 225 - 315 in 6 months isnt bad. My real gains where on the sled. Leg press started at 315 and rocketed up to 750. Most of that could have been a mental blockage. Bench from 225 to 305. Note:Since i lost weight, I haven't lost any strength and my weights keep increasing.

@lleonardo36 it's water mixed with a supplement (that's why he was shaking it). Bodybuilders drink an average of 15 serves of water a day. Because 75% of human muscles are made of water. So if you are a heavy lifter than you should drink a lot of water to be able to gain a good size of muscle.
