I like your channel the way it is, a little bit of wacky humour is not unplaced - modern day sound reproduction can drive an old man like me nuts and you help people like me navigate our way through the confusion. So please carry on as you are, great chanel. As regards this pre-amp, I must say it does looks interesting.
Like the volume/bass/treble controls too. The source input and headphone amp functionality is a bonus. I have this hooked up on my Emotiva BasX A2Mini amp, restored Realistic LAB-400 turntable with Ortofon Bronze Cartridge and Wharfedale Denton 80's; its a sweet little system. Seems to be reliable, performance is acceptable (for me), and the aesthetics of the LED's and tubes add a little drama. Overall, its a keeper. Packaging is very nice, includes a polishing cloth (for the tubes???) and RCA cables. Great conversation piece...thank you for the review - enjoy your perspective and entertainment! Happy Holidays. 🎄
Great video thank you, I like this Ampapa A1, I want to use it between my Cambridge Audio AXC35 and my Cambridge Audio AXD100D receiver, plus between my Pro-Ject Debut turntable and the receiver, the receiver has a built-in phono stage, so can you tell me if I still connect the A1output to the phono stage input on my receiver, or do I connect it to a vacant input other than the phone stage input ? Would appreciate your expertise on this query, thank you.
You connect it to a vacant input. Connect the turntable and ground cable (GND) to the 'Phono In' on the Ampapa A1. Then run some RCA's from the 'RCA Out' to your amp.
Why didn't you make sound clips and a comparison with the Marantz phono stage?? I was really interested in this phono preamp and wanted to year how it sounds!!!
By a coincidence, HMRC were, in 2023, investigating a flat in Cardiff because 12,000 Chinese businesses were registered there. The real owner of the flat was Dylan Davies who seemed to know nothing about the tax demands and debt collection letters which kept arriving. Just thought I would mention this !

The investigation part of the video was my favorite and the headphone data was very helpful 😃
Always very amusing presentation as usual. Love it!🤪
In your opinion is this worth upgrading from my FOSI BOX X2?

The main reason is copyright. I don't have any royalty free music on vinyl. Maybe I'll do a separate video with just the comparison.
You are nuts in a good sort of way.
I'll take that. 😄
