    The nut that you mention you only need to loosen instead of remove, did you take off another part to get at it? I can’t get a wrench on it because of the part that’s below it

      Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Beginning at the (3:36) time, you will see that we removed three plastic parts, the 3rd part being the largest & has a lock pin & latch.
      This part must be removed to gain access to the hardware that needs to be loosened.

      Thanks for the reply. You may be able to ever-so-gently tap it with a rubber mallet.
      The last thing you want to do is jam a breaker bar in the seam where the two pipes meet…that would definitely increase the possibility of damaging pipes.

    Hello,
    I ve one 1998 Yamaha waverunner gp1200... the exhaust pipe already warn out three times. Do you know what can be the cause?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  5 років тому +1

      Karina Carneiro
      Thanks for watching & sharing your experience. What exactly is happening to pipe?
      Exhaust Pipes can wear out faster than normal if not properly winterized prior to cold weather storing. Any excess water can freeze, expand, & cause cracking of pipe as well as damage to O-Rings.
