This is my favorite single engine fighter so..
This is in my opinion, the only aircraft in the game, that can compete in one way or another, with everything. It's easily the best plane in the game in my opinion.

Also, looking at the Wyvern, it looks like whenever the designer tried to draw a line he slipped and, then just kept it.

if you're going to say that being a knock-off American plane is bad, then I suppose they should take the B-57 out of the American tree since it's a knock-off Canberra
Let me set this straight. The B-57 is a legally licensed and procured reproduction of the Canberra, with recompense being given to the original designer, much like the Rolls Royce Merlin which was licensed to Packard and renamed V-1650.
The Tu-4 is not a legally licensed reproduction. *It was stolen*. It's a reverse-engineered (read: plagiarism) hackjob. That's not what I'm pissed about. I am pissed when it ruins the balance of 7.0 games even more with its laser 23mm turrets that could reliably down jets before they get into gun range and in all directions, a 5000m airspawn and a completely nonsensical bombload which could end games in minutes;

One guy on here had a 10 game winstreak at 7.0 with a Tu-4 team, another one had an 18 game streak. Balanced?

Saw Phly with his Wyvern yesterday in a match on the Tunisian map. I think he killed everybody. I found this great hiding place to ambush any tanks trying to capture our point. With that Wyvern flying around I never saw an enemy tank. I waited and waited and then the match was over.
Next Plane should be the Bolo or Halifax in Air RB!!

I watch you over other WarThunder guys because A) your entertaining and B) you use proper units of measurement.
Please fly the A-36, if you know how to use it, it can be played in brs much higher than its own.
It has gotten better in the last update; better turn rate and acceleration.

The British HEFI-SAPI round are really good at destroying wings, dreams, and sniping pilots. I discovered this while playing the the American Cannon P51. Its the only plane that has them in the American tech tree.

No, it has a very bad flight model and loses a lot of speed when it shouldn't. Just a slight turn at 11:05 went from 610kmh to 520kmh even though it has about 4000bhp and very good aerodynamic shape.
More like British AD-2 with lower BR and better armament
it weighs 7 tonnes. Of course its gonna loose speed fast.
It has 4200hp, one of the best aerodynamic desgns. I just think the FM is really bad currently. I have the plane and play it.
I really do love late 50's turboprops , they should add the Fairey Gannet to the British tree for the attacker line, would make a good high tier attack aircraft especially with Naval forces.

I think so. Its going to be my first purchase. Mostly for the fact that I can easily stay on target as a manual control pilot.

Well, I experimented with climb and dive speeds starting from 200km/h last night. 2000m highest angle climb , 2000m dive at -25° to max velocity. Wyvern easily won both climb and dive. It climb at 28-29° and dive to 780km/h. All other premiums were around and well under 25° climb and 730km/h dive .

Can you please teach us how to do rocket runs and dive bombing accurately on the wyvern? I always miss the dive bombing part and I waste too many rockets in one run.

to get a lot of rp, go for ground targets. gaijin now has it so that 2-3 ground targets are equal to 1 air kill
and if there are other fighters just shoot the ground targets once and wait for the assists to fly in.... gives even more rp

its cos this thing has a engine called a turboprop which is a jet powering a prop and the fact that it has counter rotating props meaning its torque in sim is nada.AMAZING

Faced the wyvern on the A6M Ko (the premium one) and got to say that its pretty balanced, if he plays good can get me straight, if i play good i can dance him and get the kill, so its a damn well balanced plane if you ask me :)

Wyvern was carrier based. The engine sounds different because it is a turboprop. So, sort of a jet.
Yeah, smoke doesn't exactly show up when you're that low to the ground. I noticed that too.

Hey Phly, I know your theme of games is usually world war 2 and 1 stuff, but you should try out Chivalry medieval warfare. Its really fun to play with friends and is just fun to play.
Plz do the Yak30 next. The bias either needs to be put to sleep or awoken.
That Firebrand is only good when fully upgraded. Anything less than fully buffed and it's shite. But I've had some good rounds with it after grinding it. Kind of like a British Skyraider - lots of rockets and bombs and Hisp Vs.
