Empowering women farmers in Fiji through the Alumni Research Support Facility

Meryl Williams Fellow and Research Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture in Fiji, Aradhana Deesh, is empowering local women to take control of their own food security by becoming backyard farmers.
Supported through the ACIAR Alumni Research Support Facility, the research is contributing to the Fijian Government's home gardening initiative. The timely research is evaluating home gardening production practices, and investigating the inequalities and challenges women and youth face in gardening.
