I was born in Springfield Oregon and I just came across this show in the last couple weeks. It takes me back home and hearing him say drag the gut! The gut meant go uptown which was Willamette Street, memories
With those butt ugly fender flairs it looks more off road than muscle car , with a lift kit and oversized tires all thats missing from this off road Charger looking thing, this is a slap in the face of a beautiful styled body , its designer rolling in his grave i'd say
Very few would pick a Demon over a Cuda for the same money lol. You'd have to have nostalgic connections to the Demon to pick it. Heck, I think most would pick a Challenger over Demon too, even though most people like the Cuda's more. The Demon and Duster are like the Nova to the Chevelle. You don't buy a Nova if you can by a Chevelle for the same money either haha. Mark is right, if they made a real modern Charger like that, not the sorry excuse of the little car they made, using it's name, they would sell like hot cakes. I'm not sure what they're waiting for. I don't know why they don't replicate one just like they did the Challengers. Very strange, considering how desirable the 2nd gen charger is. I'd rather have the real classic cars too, but as actual drivers, the modern stuff is far superior. I wouldn't spend the kind of money it would take to buy one, but I think it would be super cool to see modern day recreations of the 2nd gen charger on the streets.... like super, super cool. Fully electric versions, that would blow the doors off the gas pig versions, even cooler, as much as I love classic muscle, times are changing.
Yep. The LRW debuted in ‘65 and just had a handful of local sponsors plus Goodyear that 1st season. I think the JL sponsorship didn’t happen until the time of the JL reboot in the 90s. The original JL DID sponsor Al Unser’s Indy car back in ‘70 though.

I’d choose the demon, cause as a teenager I needed to have a hand free when cruising with a chic
Demon before Challenger.
Not quite sure how Johnny Lightening could have been a sponsor in 1964. Topper didn't copy Hot Wheels until 1969
