The most beautiful romance of all Star Wars !!! A real fary tale ! Beauty and the Beast in the stars… Ben Solo loves Rey with all of his soul and with all of his body too. He gives his life for her, contrary to his grandfather Anakin who didn't accept death, even for Padmé. Ben Solo is not afraid of death. His courage saves Rey (the woman he loves), unlike Anakin who led Padmé to death. Let's not even talk about the Han and Leia couple who were fighting all the time. Han was always gone, and when he came back he quarreled with his wife Leia in front of their son Ben. This couple left Ben with a deep sense of abandonment from an early age, which pushed him to the Dark Side. The Reylo couple is the only Lighthouse couple in the Saga to finish well, in the sense that no one sinks into the dark side because of it. But I am so sad. I wish Ben had lived and married Rey. I can hardly imagine the overpowering children they would have had together !
Rey wanted to start a living family, not scavenge a dead one. Leia wanted to be reunited with her son, not for her son to die. Both of them got tragic endings, so trying to pass it off as a happy ending is extremely emotionally tone deaf.
Fanfiction is the only thing getting me through my disappointment about the ending. For those who said Adam would not come back, read this: In fact, Adam doesn't mention in the french interview (and I'm french) the condition of time (like he never said never). The time is definitely the present in the interview. If we translate this interview the exacts words used are 'it's not in today's order' which is a french expression to say 'not now'. At first I thought she was talking about Rey but new elements points to something else possible too. 4) Weeks ago, Matt Martin (from LucasFilm storytelling group) was asked about Ben's fate and he answered by saying that LF can bring back to life any character if they want or need. They, like us, can't support the death of the last Skywalker by blood. (nothing official but still). 7) Dave Filoni on the day of Christmas posted a drawing representing both Gandalf and Ahsoka, characters known to have been dead at a point and then resurrected. The legend of the drawing is saying 'People thought I was dead too. Look how it turned out.' And Dave added 'Was thinking to you all'. So see, dear Reylos, there's still possibilities. We might be careful though to not be deceive BUT all we have to do is to show respecfully and politely to Lucasfilm how much we love him and Rey and how we want Ben to come back to life and be with Rey.

No. Reys story ends where it began. In the desert, but she is no longer alone and waiting. She has chosen to continue the legacy of the chosen one by adopting the name skywalker and burying the last part of him with his mother on tatooine. A good ending to a great saga.
No, the Skywalker name was shoehorned in as the only way to make sense of the title after having killed off all the Skywalkers. If Ben survived and was present at the end, it would be a bit less weird, but still. Rey barely knew Luke and liked him even less. Leia never wanted the Skywalker name, the Organas being her parents in all but blood. Ben Solo was Rey's partner in the dyad. Her literal other half and the man who literally gave his life for her. If she named herself after anyone, Ben would have deserved that honor more than anyone else. However, as was shown in the mirror cave in TLJ, Rey for years functioned as her own mother and father in all but blood. Logically, she should have moved past her need for parents. She was a grown woman. She raised herself and despite enormous odds did a great job of it, so she should give herself credit. The logical completion of her character arc would be to show her as a completely self assured adult, perfectly OK with being just Rey. But Abrams and Terrio completely regressed her.
I feel like they could have done so much more with kylo/ben especially with Adam acting as him because he is an amazing actor with so much to give. They kind of wasted Adam in this movie he should have had more lines and screen time but he’s really good when he had the chance!!
I wonder if the dialogue that the filmmakers had didn’t match the ending they decided to cut together at the last minute? That could explain why Adam Driver has no lines in the last hour of the film and why he and Rey have no dialogue together. It doesn’t excuse them, though. #BenSoloLives

Well that's a theory, but there's no actual facts to back that up. In the new TROS visual book, Kathleen Kennedy was asked what she was most excited about in the new movie. She stated that that relationship between Kylo Ren/Ben and Rey is what drives the trilogy and is the most important thing, and she was excited to see how Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley explored this emotional connection. Holy sh1t! Every time a villain of the dark side comes back to the light side dies. I cried when Darth Vader returned light side saving Luke and then died I cried this time when Kylo Ren (called back as Ben Solo) returned light side giving his life to revive Rey. Star Wars endings are so cruel.

TRoS was a disappointment to me personally, I didn’t hate it but I definitely didn’t love it...however, after watching this video I have a better appreciation for it, particularly the Kylo/Ben/Rey storyline. I love this video. I hope it gets redone when the movie is released digitally...;)

TRoS was a disappointment to me personally, I didn’t hate it but I definitely didn’t love it...however, after watching this video I have a better appreciation for it, particularly the Kylo/Ben/Rey storyline. I love this video. I hope it gets redone when the movie is released digitally...;)

Ben must be alive - I agree with that. It would be great, if Rey could „bring Ben back“ from the „world between world“. It would be great to see Ben an Rey with their children- little Jedi, as a couple in love, loving each other and fighting together against the dark side!!!
