Please do carry on, Paddy, regardless of what other people say. Whoever isn't interested in this content can move on to another one of the billion videos that are on UA-cam. I am a professional artist who is Midjourney obsessed and love watching videos on this topic.
I will be talking more about AI art so don't worry :)
TBH whoever isn't even a bit interested in AI info is now losing the game. I get it, not everyone can be interested in this but this is the starting point to new passive income models.
@@StackinProfit potential here is massive...love it... obsessed
Love this ❤. Please show us the next steps to prep for selling on Etsy. Thank you for another great video.
I am particularly interested in how to make a square illustration fit a range of different sizes for selling as digital download art
Thank you so much for this!! I loved it, as I am an artist and I use Midjourney now but I plan to create patterns ❤️
awesome :)
Awesome video! Looking forward to part 2.
Coming soon!
Helpful vid, thanks Paddy!
No problem 👍
Thank you Paddy this is great
You are very welcome
I love your videos on AI art! Thanks for another very informative video. I'm looking forward to your next one. 💕
Thank you so much
You are making the best training videos on ai!! Thank you for showing what is possible. Please put this info into the course.
thanks :)
Great wisdom, thanks
My pleasure!
good video. thank you
Thanks for this video... 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
No problem 👍
Wow amazing video, you’ve made learning how to use midjourney so much easier. This video is full of golden information
thanks :)
@@StackinProfit Did you make the follow up video regarding the next step? I can't seem to find it.
love this!
thanks :)
Is Mid Journey still 60 in stealth view
I've just started watching your A1 videos again.
after a long time 😃
😄
did you ever make a fallow up to this on how to make them able to be scaled for etsy?
Paddy have you made the video about upscaling for selling etc? I can’t find it
This is great thanks. Do you have a video on what to do with the pattern in order to place it in Etsy? You mentioned in this video that it needs to be upscaled and I am not sure what this is.
I currently do not but there is lot's of great videos here on youtube :) and upscaling means increasing the quality. you can use sites like bigpjpg.com
Thanks for this video :) I'm new to this 'world'. Stupid question, but what would people buy and use these patterns for? Also, you mentioned researching what people are searching for. How and where do you do that? Thanks again for such a well presented tutorial.
people use them for lit's of different things, Textiles, Digital backgrounds, Merchandise etc. and depends on where and how you want to sell them, you can look on etsy and start typing in keywords to see what people are searching for
Thanks for the amazing videos! I've learnt a lot with them. How do you replicate the patterns? and how do you place them in Etsy?
replicate the patterns? I am not to sure what you mean. and I do not sell on etsy but I am in the process of opening shops on other marketplaces
I can't find the follow up video, can tell me the name of the video please?
If you press the up-arrow key instead of “/“ then Discord gives you the last command, which you can then edit before hitting the return key
thanks for the tip :)
Very helpful I found to add to the --Tile prompt words in the description like "craft paper" and "Repeating file" I thank you for that.
BUT...in selling on Etsy I'm overwhelmed by choices. Some strong sellers use JPG, others PDF. It seems that 300 DPI is common but what about the pxl x pxl size? There are options galore.
So, I'm guessing which market I'm selling to makes a difference (wall art, Thin Tumblers, scrapbooking, etc). So, any guidelines? I'm loving craeting seamless patterns but I can't seem to figure our proper sizes relative to markets. TY
the best thing to do is figure out what you want to sell then purchase someone else's to see what dimensions they are doing then go from there
@@StackinProfit Figure out what I want? To sell seamless patterns and make money!
Did you ever release a video on how to increase the DPI and also upscaling for etsy?
I did not but you can use sites like bigjpg.com for upscaling and clideo.com/dpi-converter for increasing DPI
When you sign up for a premium plan . Can I hide my designs from members?
not with the standard plans, to hide your designs and keep them private you have to also purchase the privacy on top of that which is an extra $20
how do I turn off the suffix?
AI art and creation is here to stay! Adobe recently announced they are integrating AI into Photoshop so I feel they are confident about its future. I'm thoroughly captivated by it. Thanks Paddy
I also saw this earlier :)
Text to video is on the way as well which is even crazier!
If someone else puts the same prompts in as we do will they get the same image, or all of them unique no matter what?
they're all unique
does this only work on version 3? because it doesn't recognize --tile on version 4
yes, the tile feature is not yet on V4 but if you use keywords such as repeating pattern, seamless pattern then you can still get some pretty good results
Good.can you show us the promt do writ to get that
for better results it's best to craft your own prompts :)
Curious what percentage of the time would u say they aren’t perfectly seamless? Amazing feature! Every now and then I get one that isn’t
if you use --tile then every image should be seamless :)
I am new to using midjourney, but it is saying --tile doesnt work with version 4. What do i need to update?
tile does not currently work with V4 but you can use keywords like seamless pattern
I tried several times, but I get this a bot error. Any ideas?
"Invalid parameter
--version 4 is not compatible with --tile"
/imagine beautiful daisies in a grassy clearing, pink and white, pale blue, craft paper, intricate details --tile
I figured it out. The --Tile parameter only works with v1, v2, 3, Test and Testtp. I didn't understand what --Test was at the time I was watching the video.
--tile does not yet work with V4 but you can use keywords like seamless pattern
Video is better thanks,
But have question. How can change to vector.
you will have to use another website
@StackinProfit hi, which website?
Hello can I know a proper way to upscale these images.
you can use a site like bigjpg.com
Where is the follow up video to this one? I'd like to try doing this but I want to know how to save the pics so that they work when I upload them to Etsy. Or which one of your courses teaches how to do it?
I have just got back into wallpapers / backgrounds and will be making more videos, in the meantime have a watch of today's video all about this: ua-cam.com/video/5TqJV13cLcI/v-deo.html
I've signed up for a paid plan. Can I download the members' artwork in Community feed, And make book covers in KDP.
Please I need this information.
No, but you can copy their prompts to use to create your own images.
NO! please do not do this, only use artwork that YOU create yourself
@@StackinProfit Thanks
@@arraybabe8514 Thanks
Paddy I have logged in to Midjourney discord it does not show where to get the seamless patterns different screen
where to get them? you have to create them :)
@@StackinProfit thank you I discovered you showed how by watching all the video, I just still cannot find how to get past newbie
Will this still work with midjourneys latest version ? It’s March 10, 2023
V5 is about to roll out but I am not to sure if --tile is supported
Why all - didn’t work with me but i followed the settings
I don't understand your question
make a video on how to make animation
I do not make animations so I am not to sure what you mean
Can i sell it on freepik ?
I have not looked into it
I'm using one of your prompts exactly, the "beautiful daisies, yellow, pale baby blue, craft paper, wild flowers, intricate details, --tile" and I'm not getting any where near the same results you are getting. The style is completely different and not as simplified as yours, which is the look I'm wanting. I wish I could show you a photo so you can tell me what I'm doing wrong! :(
I input my prompts multiple times, take the best images, reroll and make variations until I have images that I like :)
@@StackinProfit Thank you
Bro,my book have been published for more than 72 hours on amazon, still in review.
it's Q4 so it can take a while depending on the type of book you published
Paddy You do know that the Copyright Laws have NOT been figured out 100% yet. If you do a search on many of the images you see AI makes if you really do some search on the Image Sites and google images you will see a lot of the ones from there used and just have color changes, and variations added, That does not make them Legal
Agreed. I really wish he would move on. Several people have told him this, and he's not listening. I'm not recommending his channel anymore because of this.
AI art can be used for good or evil, it just comes down to how the user uses it.
Yes you could blatantly rip off other peoples copyright / IP and things like that but most of know that is wrong and could get into trouble so we don't do it. See...
When it comes to these AI tools, they all work in a similar way and it's not like they're taking chunks of images and merging them together, they're actually making creative decisions from lots of different data points to create a completely unique and never seen before image.
This is why you can create some truly unique art. See...
There's two parts to AI art tools:
Clip (Image classification)
Diffusion (Image generation)
Clip: they scour the images online and classify them based on what they are and then they're all documented.
Animals, food, emotions, buildings , plants, etc. then the AI is trained to recognise all of these things.
Diffusion:
It takes everything that it has learned from those images to create whatever text prompt you write.
It's actually very similar to how we as humans create things, just done at scale with a lot more data points, and....
that's why your imagination is your only limit with these tools and this is why you can actually come up with some really truly unique things. 🙂 but again....
It's going to come down to the end user and how they use them.
@@StackinProfit I hear what you're saying and thank you for the explanation, but this isn't about "using it for good or evil." This is about copyright on derivative work created by AI, which is as yet unproven. I'm not risking my KDP account on it, and I'm on the fence about beginners watching your videos, using this technology incorrectly, and risking theirs. I'm just saying, some acknowledgment of the risk would be nice.
I totally understand what you're saying Tom and this is why it's vital for everyone to do their own due diligence into anything that they do. not just AI art. 😄
the more creative you can be with these AI tools the better it is for the end user and the safer it will be.
If you start creating spiderman coloring pages then there's going to be obvious problems, if you start combining niches and stay away from obvious copyrights as like I said in my previous videos, you will get some truly unique art and this is why I say it all comes down to the end user and how they use it.
@@tomsmith1096 I'll have to disagree with you here 'I wish he would move on.. he's not listening' - many more people are very interested in this than just a few who would wish he move on. You have to go with what get's views and traffic Tom. AI is a very hot topic currently and personally I see this as an opportunity (and based on the amount of traffic this topic gets, so do many others). You may not and that's ok, just don't expect content creators to drop everything because you said so and then go sour grapes because they didn't listen to you. Just some thoughts.
my problem with AI patterns ... they all look SO AI. If you know, you instantly know. Which makes me think that people who don't yet know, will soon enough catch on and won't choose these over patterns made by people. Hopefully AI will get better at it in the next generations.
Also creepy - I had made a daisy on teal background pattern almost identical to your daisies a couple weeks ago. So they're not even unique unless your prompt is pretty complex.
they will still be unique in the sense of there will not be an exact duplicate so it's always best to master prompt crafting
If you're sick of and their BS Etsy raise just your hands !
