Congrats brother. I bet it felt like you were reborn
I mean this day and age, I think their rarity and buying new isn't an option anymore, as a rifle, not it isn't worth that much, as a rifle and a collectible, then I say it sounds about right for what it is.
@@doctorlunarous5747 they make reproductions.. aka "new". And just wait till after the election. Price will drop. Always does.. That's usually when the best deals come.
You guys should know that markings on the left side are the arsenal markings where the weapon was sent AFTER WWII to be refitted. AAR is Augusta Arsenal with the R being the inspectors marking. (That would vary.) Most of those probably saw action overseas with foreign countries even after that, Certainly not original as -issued during WWII.
The AA you are seeing could refer to a refit process for carbines after ww2 Augusta Armory, sights were upgraded and bayo lugs added followed by selective reassembly leading to mismatch of parts.
Me too! Hell my luck if I could with the ammo shortage I might end up with a nice club! LOL! These guys are milking everything. No way they should cost $1200!
That's not out of line for a decent USC the days. I personally examined one about two weeks ago at a local shop. $999 price tag on a carbine that had three different colors, two clearly painted, on the metal. Between obvious grinding to remove rust and the thick paint, barrel and receiver markings were faint at best. In short, barely a junk gun for parts going for a thousand.
I bought an M1 at a pawn shop in 1988 I think. It was marked G.M. Found out it was an M2, so I got the rest of the parts & made back to full auto. Sold it in 1995. I should have kept it. But I don't remember it having M2 on it.
I've had my Underwood M-1 Carbine for almost 30 years, Underwood was also a major supplier of barrels to some of the other makers, also it was Underwood that came up with stamped and brazed trigger guards.
Why are these guns only offered by classic? They must have someone they payoff to get these and not being offered to other dealers. They corner the market and raise the prices of these guns. I personally will never buy a gun from these gun grabbers that make you pay more for something that should be half that price. If you follow my lead, more of you in the future will get better prices.
The markings on the barrel is only the barrel production date not the receiver production date. Also if you look on the stock where the sling goes through it should be marked with the maker of the stock. Example: mine is a 43 receiver with a 44 barrel and stock is an Underwood.
I ordered the Czech 7.62x45 and although I am extremely excited about it, I am also very disappointed to find that the ammo is not available!! I WANT TO ENJOY THIS GUN!!
Possibly South Korea. During the obama adminsitration some company tried to import about 1,000,000 rifles (mostly m1 garands and some m1 carbines) that were sent to South Korea after WW2. But the obama administration refused to allow the import saying these would end up being used in crimes. So these could be those rifles finally coming in.
To anyone who decides to purchase this. Good luck finding ammo for the next probably year or so. I’ve searched a 35 mile radius and turned up two boxes of .30 carbine and there’s a few rifles floating around here
Like the above response, ammo is easy to find with a simple google search. I bough the bulk South Korean ammo from SGammo awhile back and it’s very good ammo for the price.
Of course they know that. Just like how they know these carbines have the Springfield Armory marking. It's not a Ordnance Dept acceptance mark, it's definitely the Springfield Armory mark.
Bought one for $1300 imported from Ethiopia by blue sky Inc my is a winchester barrel with underwood receiver stamp WTA winchester and SN front sights and Roc rear sight ... it pretty wear out the one I got they shot the crap out of my m1 carbine
1 year later I'm here I just bought 2 off of classic firearms like 5 month ago for 1800 each.. I don't complain about price cause these are not in production no more they are real usgi m1 carbine I spend 4000$ 2 week ago on a m1a1 paratrooper . I own 6 m1 carbine total all usgi not no new production built. Also own a colt m16a1 pay 3900$ for it
I had an original then I bought a new universal arms 30 carbine and they both shot the same so I got rid of them. Its the best designed gun of that era but its in a lousy caliber,.....that's why I got rid of mine. I actually shoot my guns so if their not accurate their gone. They just go bang, bang, bang. You might get a ground hog at 50 yards or you might get a Hi-point and shoot 100 yards.
How is it that you post a video showing a large box of theses M1 Carbine. *** But when I go to the website they are not available ??? *** This post / video 8/25/20 I really don't understand why you are announce that you have the for sale. This is the second time ( for me ) you have listed a firearm for sale. And it not be available that same day or the day after !!!! Is this some kinda bait and switch ?
Hard to believe you find that hard to believe. The only reason they didn't sell out quicker is the guys shitting themselves to order couldn't dial the phone faster.
First comment and officially cleared of cancer.. good day woo hoo..

30 CARBINES ON THE HOUSE FOR CANCER SURVIVOR 🇺🇲
The M1 carbine is one of the most fun firearms I have ever shot. It's in my top three. $1200 is way out of my price range though :(
I had an IBM. My understanding is that the bayonet lugs on these were added by the U.S armory after they were cycled back toward the end of the war.
With hand select, tax, insurance, and shipping it's 1400. You could at least throw in a bayonet with it.
Would love to have one but that’s definitely not $1200 worth of rifle
They Are hungry for that second stimulus check.
Nope. I bought my first one for $590 and my second one for $700. Seems now everyone is gouging. If I'm going to spend $1200, I'd buy a garand instead.
I mean this day and age, I think their rarity and buying new isn't an option anymore, as a rifle, not it isn't worth that much, as a rifle and a collectible, then I say it sounds about right for what it is.

1200 will get me a WASR, a AR, and a 10/22.

Remember when they were $199? Those were the days....
Yep I passed on one 20 years ago because I thought it looked pretty bad. I'm regretting it now since it was only 150.00 at the time.
I remember when mosins were $85
Yes n gas was 29 cents a gallon too!!!
Pepperidge farms remembers.
@@chadm8614 I got my mosin for 200 dollars about 4 years ago

I wish I had $1200 laying around for one of these, love me some M1 Carbines.

Whaaaattt 😮🙄
Solomon Grundy maybe Cli t would contest one for us broke married guys?
$1,199.99 I’ll pass although I really want one

I only paid $1,30 for mine back on 90...
I wish I was born 20 years earlier so I could buy them that cheap
That's actually a fair price in todays market.
I agree but it’s out of my price range

I have a gorgeous minty Underwood in original WWII configuration. I've heard others say Underwood made the nicest carbines.
These sold out before I even got the email, damn...
With the OG flip rear sights, the manufacturer's mark and serial number were easy to read. Those sights didn't block it.
Matt has implanted an old gun encyclopedia into his brain.... the man is obviously a cyborg..... because he kills it in knowledge every video.
Like one but classic is overpriced on everything.

Royal Tiger Imports has them in stock and base price is a bit cheaper. Also you can request a certain maker and condition. GL
They raised prices but not that much.... unlike gunprime or cheaperthandirt.
you got any spares that i could have, but seriously where did you get all of these.
Lol I ordered mine earlier today and wanted to see some videos on my new rifle and here is probably a video of my ACTUAL rifle.
My #1 wishlist gun. Since a kid watching all the war movies and TV shows. Maybe some day!
Keep selling them at the price of a car and a lot more people will continue to be deterred from buying them.
Had one with a National Postal Meter receiver and Marlin barrel years ago, wish I had never sold it.
MRD = Mount Rainier Ordnance Depot
The markings on the barrel is only the barrel production date not the receiver production date. Also if you look on the stock where the sling goes through it should be marked with the maker of the stock. Example: mine is a 43 receiver with a 44 barrel and stock is an Underwood.
You sold out at 1200 dollars each. Good for you. I recall seeing replica, new carbines for 1/2 the price.
I have 3, not really a collector I just like them. The saganaw is a great shooter . Thankfully I got mine a few years back.
Cool rifles the last few days! I have a 1944 inland it is a great shooter
I love my M1 Carbine. Didn't know you guys had ammo. Gonna have to check that out
Love mine. Carry it more the my AR
nice guys... it was my Dad's favorite gun in WW2... I wish I had a money to get one in his memory...
It's CAVALRY, which refers to horse- or bicycle-mounted troops. Calvary is where the Romans performed crucifixions in Jerusalem.
These morons don’t care lol
I bought an M-2 conversion kit in October of last year. So, when my form 4 clears I can convert one of these to full auto!
I ordered the Czech 7.62x45 and although I am extremely excited about it, I am also very disappointed to find that the ammo is not available!! I WANT TO ENJOY THIS GUN!!
Every single military surplus rifle on your web site shows out of stock ................... how can that be? Why list what you can't deliver?
i long for the days we traded these for $100 every day, back in the 80s. wish i still had everyone i ever owned
I literally cannot understand why I watch this channel. It’s really not good for a gun addict. 😆
👍😂🤣
Reasons!
66 E man I needed to say what you said
Their overinflated prices will cure that!!!!😡🤬
There are after market mags with last round hold open. Without looking at my mags, not remembering if they are just the 30's or both.
That AAR is not letters but stars. At least i think so. The three stars with eagle is postwar
I like them but the more beat up the better, the story behind it!
Union Switch and Signal Company(made train switches) also made 1911s and M1s.
They made 1911 pistols but not M1 carbines or M1 Garands.
I love my M1 Carbine. My choice for HD
These are nice had a 1946 GM M1 30 carbine but got took very nice round but only had bout 4-500$ in it now they a lil more pricey
The bayonet lug is not original. They began being installed in or after 1944.
Oooh can't even finish the intro because I gotta get one!
Gone already.....damn
So do you re-strap the box after doing the real unboxing & then do the UA-cam unboxing? They didn't look well packaged if not.
AAM is a place were they were rebuilt after the war
About time damn they're beautiful gorgeous rifles
Where did these guns come from?
Ethiopia
