While many of your fans may very well be in their teens, I just wanted to express as a thirty-something how much I appreciate your show every morning. There isn't a lot of content that I find relatable on UA-cam but your videos are spot-on every day. You rock!
those terms "yas" "work" etc, almost all of those fun terms actually arent from drag race, but from the underground black gay club scene/ball culture in nyc in the late 80s. we hear them so much today first, beacuse paris is burning is iconic and we all want to emulate era, but also the queens of today are keeping that culture alive. but of course straight people can say them, anyone can, but it is important to know that history behind them, and you guys are making a great effort to learn it! ♥️
I love This Might Get. I think it is really important that when a episode has information to get out, it teaches it in a way that makes it feel fun and not just jamming facts down the viewers throats. I think it is really cool how you ladies take your platform to educate and inform and have fun. I don't think I have ever seen a episode that made me feel like it wasted my time. Please keep this series going. I look forward to This Might Get every day. And I love seeing what the topic will be. I wish I could be in your friend circle. This Might (defiantly) Get my vote as best UA-cam series.
One time I was way too drunk for my own or anyone's good at Porky's in NYC, climbed up on top of the bar, let my pants fall to my ankles, and started dancing. Someone tried to put a dollar in my underwear but I got kicked off bar and lost said dollar, which is sad because I totally could've used it to tip my bartender.
Dearest Nic, I need to thank you for introducing me to the you tube world. I don't remember how I came across you, but holy shit! Miles Jai, Mama Tonjes, more recently Miss Shan Booty. Please continue to influence, you are all beacons of light and love in this world where the shitiest of people seem to always get the spot light. I love you guys, and now, please excuse me, I think I have something in my eye.😆❤💖💛💙💚💜
Thanks Miles Jai for giving us trans/non-binary a shout-out at the end of this video. We’re working towards visibility and acceptance within the LGBTQ+ community.
I'm from the Philippines and I wish I could experience and celebrate Pride like y'all in America. Especially bcs im living in a conservative family and society, I wish I could celebrate Pride someday.
Where are you from? From what I know there are multiple Pride events here in the Philippines. We were the first to have Pride events in the SEA. So there's that.
I went to my first pride this year and it was honestly such an amazing experience, I'm so glad to have allies like you two in the community who are accepting and willing to learn it's so heartwarming and amazing 🌈 also miles is hilarious, great video 😂
This was such a GREAT episode!!! My grandma (who's 94 yrs old) grew up in a completely different era than us and there was no acceptance for Individuals like Miles Jai (mind you she was raised strict Catholic). What I'm getting at is that she loves watching this show and I wasn't sure how she would react to this episode. We talk about each episode after it's aired and what we though of it. SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED MILES JAI!!!! in fact she said she wants to get the same hair style!!! All I have to say is GO GRANDMA!!!
Another good thing to do: call it pride, not gay pride ;) - other than that, thank you for this episode and thank you for being such great allies, truly 🌈💕
Agreed! People don't always realize it's not just about your sexuality or your gender. It's being proud of who you are, no matter who you are. People will say "Well, there's no straight pride month!" but if you're proud of your individuality as a straight person and accept the people who are different from you, it's Pride month for you too!
matt colins Except it's not just gay pride. It's sexuality and gender identity. Non-straight, non-cis, and everyone supporting those who are marginalized for any of these things. It's the pride of non-straight, non-cis people and being supportive of that.
@matt colins Straight is a sexuality. It's about accepting all sexualities and expressions of gender. If my straight cis best friend wants to celebrate Pride with me, let her. She's accepting of everyone, so those of us who are not straight and/or cis should accept people like her. Turning good people away for who they are is exactly the kind of thing we're fighting to stop.
I love you guys and I really want to thank you for your support, but can I just really quickly point out that June is LGBTQIA pride month? Not just Gay pride month? I know it's probably a really insignificant detail to you but it does mean a lot to people to see them represented
This is fantastic and exactly what we should all be doing! Be friends and supportive FIRST, show respect, then ask hard questions out of genuine concern/curiousity. Good job, everyone!
I love every episode of This Might Get, but this is my favorite. I just love seeing people talking so positively about this community that I'm so proud to be a part of. And the part where Miles was talking about accepting non-binary people really hit home with me as someone who is non-binary. I'm just so happy after watching this
I've never understood why I loved mamrie and grace's content so much until now. I'm so comfortable watching it bc there are no judgements, no criticism, and they just promote good fun and positivity. Thanks ladies! .......Now I'm going to go watch your judgy Aunts. 😉
We only recently got the ability to marry. A large amount of the animosity towards bachelorette parties was due to them celebrating/flaunting something we didn't have in queer spaces.
I appreciate this video so much and thank you for being such vocal allies. But remember its pride for all under the umbrella - not just gay pride! Don't forget about our BTQIA2+ people. Happy pride all! ☺🌈
Usually when people refer to something like pride parades with "gay" pride, they're using it as an umbrella term. "Gay" has been an inclusive umbrella term for quite some time, even people who aren't exclusively attracted to the same sex prefer to describe themselves as "gay". It's become synonymous with "queer", except imo, if a straight person wants to make it clear they're talking about an LGBTQ+ pride parade, it's better for them to say "gay pride" than "queer pride" since straight people have and still use "queer" as a slur and some LGBTQ+ people take offense to that word.
Elijah D I’ve never heard that gay is becoming a synonym for queer but even it is, it does still exclude everyone who’s trans or non-binary. And why not simply say “pride” instead of gay/queer pride...it’s even shorter ;) and you can be sure you’re including everyone
A LOT of people use "gay" instead of "queer" as an umbrella term (people who haven't and have figured out their sexuality, gender, etc use it as a broad term) and I agree that it should be just "pride" but that wasn't rly the point I was making
Elijah D queer has always been an umbrella term for "not straight". gay, on the other hand, means gay/homosexual. if you're using "gay" to mean "not straight", then please stop. it only serves to erase gay identity. "gay pride" on the other hand is sometimes used to describe all queer pride - but mostly it's "pride", which is the better way.
Thank you so much for being the inclusionary queens you are. It makes me so happy to be included this way, with great, hilarious content. Please, never stop being fucking dope😭👏🌈
Thank you ladies for being great allies. I've just recently started coming out as bi and your support of the community is comforting and relieving. Not to mention that both of you are a bi girl's dream. Much love!
Thank you for supporting all of us, and for bringing us your wonderful selves every morning. You are my after work ( I work overnight) routine. Who needs the news when I've got you!
As always. Watching your videos always brings a smile to my face, and dammit my mouth almost came off when I saw Miles Jai. Such an OG I love him so much and I only wish for the best for his career.
This was a really great video. Thank you for getting these messages out there. You're great allies for spreading the word in an entertaining and informative way! Happy Pride everyone!
Had an amazing time at Capital Pride this weekend!! I had no idea that Pride in DC was such a big deal! They definitely know how to put on a show and I learned a lot about the LGBTQ+ community and it was so wonderful. I hope I can become a better ally and do my part!! Thanks so much for this episode and thanks to the LGBTQ+ community for sharing your experiences
YAAAAS this episode was everything I wanted and more! I love y'all so much for being the awesome allies you have been for years! Y'all support me and I'll support you too! It also helps that y'all are my 2 favorite UA-camrs. Hahahaha and Miles too! I gotta shut his videos off tho at the end for the loud "SUBSCRIBE" his videos do 😂
I need to go to LA Pride...it's all I've ever seen photos of. Just did my first Pride on Saturday in New Orleans. And while it was a lot like Mardi Gras, it was a lot more subdued than I would have expected from that city. Super awesome and tons of nice people, though...a lot of fun! Happy Pride, everyone!
Thank you guys. I just found out one of my favorite vlog familys are homophobic and I’m kinda sad. Thank you for loving everyone. It’s such a simple concept but when people don’t get it, it really hurts.
MILES❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😫😫😫😫😭😭😭😭 I was just thinking to myself it would be cool if Miles was on one of these episodes. And then look and behold🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. Happy Pride Month 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

I love Hailey Kiyoko!! I was just in France for 2 weeks, I would have fangirled with you!!
95annis I hope you enjoyed your stay ! Happy pride !

Oh great, more 'bisexual' girls queersplaining to gay people what to do. It is gay pride.
@Triairius. Thats bullshit historical revisionism. It is about sexuality you ignorant fool. Otherwise 'pride' could be about anything

omg Grace’s questions were so thoughtful, Miles is a special and wonderful soul, and this episode was precious
As a nonbinary fan, I really appreciate Miles taking the time to give our side of the community a shout out!

Love Miles jai!!
i save the episodes to watch all on friday morning but i read MILES JAI in the title and thought "mmmm nope cant wait"
MORE DOS AND DONTS:
- always double check who someone is out to, a lot of people come out gradually
- if someone of the same gender is being friendly, do not assume they're coming on to you. especially wlw, they like physical contact (cuddling, holding hands etc) with friends as much as straight girls
- if you're unsure of someone's gender, ask "what are your pronouns?"
- do NOT ask "so what are you?" "so what were you born as?" "so what's in your pants?"
- some trans people will be willing to talk about their transition with you, others will not; approach the topic by asking "do you mind if i ask about [X]?"
- ALWAYS use their correct pronouns, saying "He wants to be a girl" about a trans woman for example, is not only incorrect but also transphobic.
- instead say "she came out"
most importantly: be open minded and willing to be educated, we ALL have a lot to learn about each other.
Much love:) x
I'm coming to America for the first time next week and I get to go to Chicago Pride! Can't wait to see what its like compared to NZ!
You're gonna love Chicago Pride!! Enjoy the city!
This might get EPIC!!!! Love y’all!!! Happy pride!!!
I’m always .2 seconds away from breaking down a door and screeching “ITS PRIDE BITCHES” every time I walk into a room, I don’t know if June brings out the best or worst in me

If I can still tie my shirt in a knot that high at 34 I will have accomplished all my life goals
riots not diets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As someone from Vegas I can vouch for this. We have it in Sept because it’s too hot in June and it’s basically the parade and that’s it. Not much else goes on. And most of the people watching the parade are tourists so 🤷♀️
Ugh I luv miles such a good episode!! Love the questions you guys asked and love hearing the insight miles has. Thanks for celebrating pride with ussss ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
