I've done both. The method I choose depends on how steady my hands are feeling at the time and if there are any imperfections in my sanding that I need to cover up. :P
another fine job sir , subscribing now . i found scrollers drills at Seyco.com , they have drills to fit the size of the blade in use . less intrusion and sanding to make starter hole disappear . just sayi'n , thank you again .
The commenter above thinks the facing material is quarter sawn oak veneer; all I can say for sure about it is that I got it out of a sample pack that I bought on Amazon. The box body is plywood.

Awesome job! Try flocking the insides of your drawers. Much easier than cutting out little pieces of contact paper.

what blades are you using for these cuts?
I think I used a number 5 blade for the thicker plywood, but I definitely used a 2/0 blade for the cuts on the face piece.

That's a lamp that's actually attached to the saw.
