That calming exhale when you're about to lose your nerves, the boss is almost dead, and you need to refocus because there's no more heals lol I've been using thrust stance since I unlocked it in ch2. It was awkward at first, but I absolutely love it. Just got the spear and spell binder a few hours ago, and it's just an insane game changer. No gimmicks, no clones, no immob. Just straight up martial arts, and I love it.
@@mrblack6439 i had that 2 wenn i switch to trust, but the thing is i use my light attack combo with the backstep and only use charge wenn im almost at 3 stacks. As soon as i masteren this one ill switch 2 a pillar build
@@KaizikuM literally what happened to me during the yellowbrow last phase, I was 1 HP left, no heals left. I managed to defeat him with the pillar stance, if I was 1 second late he would've killed me by slamming his mace into the ground.
I really like that the description itself helps people learn what potential niche uses the spell has. For example, even if you main the usage of certain spells, there are situtations where those spells are ineffective. That's where even a spell main might want to temporarily respec For example, the Yin Tiger instantly breaks out of Immobilize, and if you use Strand of Many he switches to a blocking stance then does sweeping aoe moves. It may be a good idea to forgo spells and use Spellbinder against here. Another tip is that while the spells seals all abilities, you can still use non-mana abilities first like transformations, spirits, and vessals. You may want to open with say, the Daoist spirit that lays down an attack boosting staff aoe then use Spellbinder after. Said daoist also has the passive of increasing max mana. Though I do wonder, what is the exact mana to attack ratio?
@lycon7000 They are special items you can equip that have an active ability. For example in chapter one you can find the Fireproof Mantle from a side quest. When active it makes you immune to burning and steadily increases your focus gauge for the duration. In chapter two there's a wind mirror that on activation briefly staggers the enemy and raises your damage mitigation.
Before using spellbinder you can use your transformation and summon spirit as it does not have any effect on the spellbinder and use extra damage before entering fight.
I immediately unlocked all skills in the skill binder tree just in case I needed it for a boss that could seal my skills, I don’t think I came an across any throughout my whole playthrough. I only missed three bosses and moving to ng+
@0nlysp3c Hmm there probably aren't bosses that seal ALL your skills, but a few of them do counter specific ones. Ironically the boss you fight to unlock spell binder instantly broke out of immobilize and turned into an unhittable wheel of fire when you used strand of many. That would have been a good boss for Spellbinder hahaha
At first when you started the boss fight at the end of the video I was like he doesn't seem that hard. Then I saw him hitting you once, he does so much damage!! Kinda afraid for him now..
Fuck this game. Was loving it until the scorpion lord decides to jump in the fight with u and die so then u can't get the death stringer. There's nothing that tells u this. I may just uninstall
Yin tiger is way harder than yellow loong and you can fight him as soon as chapter 3 midway. After your fight with yellow, I don’t see major damage being put out compared to spells.
It really depends on when you fight the Yin Tiger. If you fight him as soon as you can then then you're asking to be tortured, I fought him the first chance I got and once I got my ass humbled (Up to that point no enemies took me more than three tries aside from Tiger Vanguard) I realized that I just had to comeback later. Once I fought him just before the final boss of chapter 3 it only took me 3 tries. Yellow Loong on the other hand, he definitely is much harder than any boss at that point in the game imo, it took me 9 tries to beat him and a lot of internal yelling. If I had to rank my top 5 hardest bosses so far (I just got to chapter 6) it would be 1. Scorpionlord, 2. Yellow Loong, 3. Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master, 4. Tiger Vanguard, and 5. Yellow Wind Sage.
I reccomend turning the setting on that shows how much damage your doing with each hit. It’d be nice to see the numbers on how much damage your doing. Also you could show us a comparison of how much damage your doing before and affer you activste spell binder.
Usually adds 50+ damage. More mana = more amp. It also nearly doubled most peoples crit chance, which is pretty big, seen a dude who has 18% crit chance shoot right up to 28% with nothing else, it’s pretty good, one dude was doing 400-800 damage light attacks
I hate the heavy attack with light combos. So I did just two into pillar stance, the rest filled the left side giving me 4 focus points. Then i could max out my light attack tree, dodge, and a few spell trees and then health/attack/stamina tree. Been having a pretty easy go. I think maxing out the pillar stances isn't worth it. I have 4 focus points and stagger every boss. havent had to fight a boss more than 3 times since like chapter 2/3
I was also getting nowhere with him. Ported out (talisman in bag) then went and got the Chu-Bai spear and SpellBinder. Increased mana from wolf npc ( Chapter 2 Celler) as mentioned in vid, practiced on Non-Able boss (hands tied guy) and swopped to controller. Killed him then went to Yellowbrow and got him down fast as well. Super dps build this, i love it. The quick distance closer with light attacks helps immensely to keep up dmg against him and knock backs before he casts something.
I struggle with yellowbrow for hours, almost got him. I got the spellbinder and packed him up…. Also that guy has that dam golden armor right when he’s almost dead.
at 10:50 how did u jump attack into tactical retreat? was that a Jump > light attack > light attack > heavy Or is it just Jump > light attack > heavy ?

This build is really only good for those who have perfected dodging in this game. Not being able to immobilize or cloud step is going to eliminate any breathing room the player might give themselves to heal imo.
True but it basically doubles how quickly you kill bosses and most enemies. I used to rely on magic and spirits to win but it's WAY faster with spell binder. A worthwhile give and take.
To be fair Spellbinder does more than enough damage to make up for the loss of spells. Just as the other guy said, I use to rely heavily on the spells especially Immobilize and Cloud Strike. Playing without the spells helped me become a better player by now relying on my timing and combos. It honestly didn’t take long before I started seeing the benefits behind Spellbinder.
Two ways to make this better, you can use the Centipede set with the alternative gauntlets and the alternative staff Giving you damage overtime on your enemies when you do you’re charged heavy attacks while in a poison state that you can self inflict and while they’re poisoned you get huge health regain on charged heavy’s. Or You can use the black bull set for high defense with the black iron staff which converts defense into attack or there’s another armor found in chapter 6 apparently that increases your defense based on how many relics you have and there’s a total of six relics you can get still use the Defence to attack staff
dont know if you found out yet or not but a small correction on the chapter 6 armor - its for every tier you have in every relic so basically its bad/worse than your other armors until NG+2 i believe and youve gotten basically every tier in every relic
@@HighShamanMoses Yeah I only just got it a few days after I posted that I was just making a comment cause I saw information about the armor in a different video

I don’t see how this build is OP or good in any way. You were literally struggling real hard with yellow long. All you need is skills and a good strategy to build any boss. Yellow long for example, all you need is to case pluck of many “2” times, and he’s done. Use the transformation that turns you to a rock between the two plucks of many to gain the cooldown time. Killed yellow long in my 3rd try with 1/2 bottle of wine left.

I hope they drop a patch for pc soon. I'm having so many technical problems. I have adjusted all my settings. I figured out that it was not my pc but the game. Otherwise, I love the game.
What kind of technical problems are you having? If your game is stuttering/skipping/lagging and your audio is delayed/cutting out then you should install the game on an SSD (if it isn't already). If these are your problems then I know exactly what it feels like, I had the same problem when I played Starfield, in fact Starfield is the reason that I bought an SSD, so when I downloaded this game on an HDD and had the same problems I immediately knew what I had to do. If you're having other problems then let me know, maybe I can try to look it up and find something about it.
It tells me to sign in to OneDrive to get started. So every time I go and put my email address in it says there was a problem signing you in. Please try again in a few minutes. The OneDrive is the problem. But I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Me too... I miss using that Parry spell. One of my favorites.
I was doing twice your dmg at the same point in the game lol thrust stance is the only stance to go for increased crit chance. Skill point in crit chance/dmg and atk all the way. Any weapon with crit chance is better than the 2 weapons you suggested its a crit build?? Didnt explain curios or relics? At least got the armor right

I know. I hate damage numbers cluttering my gameplay. Glad it's an option to turn off.
It's a problem with the OneDrive application. Every time I try to sign in it says there is a problem signing you in.
