I'm glad she brought up that is NOT just a Black/White issue. We Latinos and the Asians are ALWAYS overlooked in the race discussions and it's annoying!
***** The problem with Hispanic/latino is that it is not a race... Latinos are a big mix of everything: caucasians, natives, and blacks. Some latinos are mainly black, some are mainly white (like in Argentina for instance), some are mainly native (like in Bolivia), some are equally mixed between white and black, native and white and so on... That mexican girl in the video, whether she likes it or not, she's white/caucasian... Maybe not fully, but she's partly for sure! I'm 100% european but she's whiter than me.
Its funny when the Asians tell their story the audience laughs but when its a Black woman telling stories of her racism they gasp like someone just died
I noticed that too. Everybody loves to laugh at the Asians while shouting that they are the biggest victims of racism. When many of the people laughing are probably guilty of racism themselves.
@Review Sam I was saying that everybody loves to laugh at the Asians while shouting "We are the biggest victims of racism" simultaneously. Anyway, I don't doubt that black people have the highest number of incidents of racism in most areas. Asians, however, are bullied more than any other race. And it just so happens that black kids bully more than any other race. So there are some areas where it's not universal.
zxsani I think when she says "white" she means it as a race. She is not talking about skin color. My sister has been asked if she is white with her light skin, dark hair and green eyes. My yougnest brother has light skin, light green eyes and brown/ blond hair. The three eldest have dark brown hair, tanned skin and light brown eyes. We are a great mix of my parents. Both are Mexican. My mom has dirty blond curly hair, white skin and light brown eyes. My father has black hair, green eyes and tanned skin. We are Mexican American and pround. I understand the "your Mexican I thought you were...". People need to get out and travel the world.
@@Paola-jf2qf You can be of full European ancestry (white) and still be 100% Mexican. The girl in blue is clearly a Mexican of mostly European heritage. I notice that many people from Latin America think the're a whole separate race and I don't understand why.
The only difference between Mexicans, Nicaraguans or any other person from any other Latin American country is the nationality, meaning the country where they are from. But in terms of 'race', majority of them are Spanish and indigenous
Okay you can clearly see she's not Chinese, my guess was Korean right off the bat. Koreans look completely different than chinese. And why is the audience laughing at the things she was teased ? So ignorant...
this is funny how tyra is 'all against judging and putting people into categories' but when it comes to her impression of the white and black guys she is clearly stereotyping....
Why do you hate that? Lots of people think Asian eyes are beautiful. In many, many girls wear the cat eye eyeliner to make it look like they have an epicanthic fold. BTW, if you are interested to know how you got Asian-looking eyes in your lineage, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/WxTnVWgOGLc/v-deo.html
I CAN TOTALLY RELATE TO EUNICE. I am Korean myself. And CONSTANTLY people ask me if I am Chinese. Just TODAY, I got called " ching ching chang " in class. It really, really upsets me when people make fun of me like that. Although I'm in advanced math at school, I SUCK. Kids come up to me at school and ask me for help with homework, and I say I don't know, and they're like " you're asian, you're supposed to be good at math " and it hurts.
I always get mistaken by white even though I'm Puerto Rican but it's really stupid how people consider a hispanic person "Mexican" and a Asian person "Chinese" yet they don't do that with White people they don't say "Oh hey are you Swedish?" Or black people "Are you Jamaican?"
Last time i check Puerto Rican is NOT a race, it's a Nationality or Ethnicity. Puerto Rican are mostly Mixes but also White & Black. Compare Marc Anthony with Tego Carderon, you will see one is White & the other Black but both are Puerto Ricans. So you are a White Puerto Rican.
this show is not a joke, these are real issues that really do happen. i face this issue every freakin day. im really happy someone is actually talking about this.
I worked with a Korean woman once and she was so bubbly and lively and we talked about it and she told me that she always keeps a smile plastered on her face because otherwise people think that she's mean.
One of the wisest things I heard here on the blond ambition "Tyra Show" is when Tyra said she feels connected to other people of color and all people of color need to support each other. Well said Tyra.
im am so proud to have friends from different countries and listen, learn and preach to others who dont understand that chinese is apart of asia and that the less offensive word would be for chinese is Oriental...from what I know from my friends and their families
I knew she was Korean. Maybe because I'm quite cultured. I always ask first, I don't assume. I know how annoying it is to be judged for the way I look, not just race wise, and people assuming I'm from somewhere I'm not.
There are differences actually. I cant really explain it but when i see Japanese and Chinese i can usually tell the difference. Might be a bit harder with Chinese/Korean but still they have different facial structures even though they are all oriental
We are all human beings and that's what needs to be realized because that's what really matters period. Everything else that's used to give people identities is in fact the same serum that's used to keep us all separated and forever divided. If we don't find a way to come together and finally set aside our differences, we will ultimately all be destroyed. 😳🤕😔
Im moroccan but i'm very light skinned, soo people often think i'm lebanese, algerian, portuguese, and even once but that was when i was little chinese =,=, i mean seariously I remember when i changed schools once, i introduced myself to the class and they were like where r u from and i was moroccan some people laughed and a girl even said yeah right, i never recall anyone who guessed my nationality right, i feel ur pain gurls :'(
They can't help what they perceive any more than you can help what you look like. Don't hold people's visual misunderstandings against them unless they insult you.
1. I LOVE Tyra's impressions, they're hilarious! 2. I guessed the Asian women's races correctly. (booyah! :P) 3. I have the same issue. People always assume that I'm Chinese and are surprised when they find out I'm half Japanese. Example, my mom sometimes gets spoken to in Chinese or Korean, and she has to say "I'm sorry, I don't understand you." I know people of those races that aren't the stereotypical kinds of people, but I do know or have seen people who are exactly the stereotypical Asians.
Like Tyra, I do feel more connected to people of color than I do with whites and even blacks. In fact, I have two good friends, one from Colombia and the other from Thailand. I feel like that I can trust them more than even my own family.
that's the right attitude :) u rock - if only more people were laid back about it, there might be less hate. I am fully Asian (south Asian) but people think I'm european, and it doesn't bother me at all - all races are beautiful.
THANK YOU!! this video needs to be seen!! my skin colour is mocha and i have dark brown curly hair people only see black I'm not black.they dont even know me. tf. I'm colombian I'm spanish and PROUD!
this show is the truth!I'm mixed, my father is half black and half white, and my mother is 100% Peruvian...when I talk to latino men (partiuclarly mexican men) they assume I am black but when they ask and I tell them I am half Peruvian, it's like that dark-skinned girl said "they get excited" about that because no, I am not black I am Latina...one of them, and from then we become friends and its okay most of the time, although a fairer skin color is usually still preferred.
You don't understand how it feels. People blow your personal identity off because they assume they already know. You obviously don't understand how much it hurts.
Sweet. I guessed right on the Korean lady. She's very beautiful btw. When Tyra said most of the audience voted Chinese, I was already shaking my head. I watch a lot of Korean TV. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. actually look completely different from each other. At least to me.
I was speaking to this puerto rican woman and she told me (which I was surprised) that all the spanish speaking countries have this social scale. Where I think Spain is on top and Mexico is on the bottom like low class. I was completely shocked but I realized that no matter what race or nationality you are you are always judge and weighed in as the top middle or bottom. A perfect example is light skin blk and dark skin blk.
Speaking of those bonds, I know exactly what she meant. The various Asian students at my college all hang out separately with people generally from their own country. I can understand why in terms of the language, but they all can usually speak English. I remember one time, a had a friend named Chong, I believe he was Vietnamese. He got really upset and scared because he got a new roommate who was Korean. It totally blew my mind.
I'm glad she brought up that is NOT just a Black/White issue. We Latinos and the Asians are ALWAYS overlooked in the race discussions and it's annoying!

UniquelyMade and Arabs!!!

kindly go fuck yourself. you're probably a white.
Zaya Taylor What did I say?
I noticed that too. Everybody loves to laugh at the Asians while shouting that they are the biggest victims of racism. When many of the people laughing are probably guilty of racism themselves.
Black people have a monopoly on victimization.

THEY'RE ALL SO PRETTY
"They called me ching chang chong"
Tyra: Okay I never heard that before
What rock have youbeen living under??
I loved Tyra's little thing about guys around the world. The white one was HILARIOUS.
Okay you can clearly see she's not Chinese, my guess was Korean right off the bat. Koreans look completely different than chinese. And why is the audience laughing at the things she was teased ? So ignorant...
It's really annoying when Tyra interrupts the people are talking
I know she does that all the time
@@TayKT1629 yes she does
this is funny how tyra is 'all against judging and putting people into categories' but when it comes to her impression of the white and black guys she is clearly stereotyping....
americans are too focused on "races", which are actually nationalities.
everyone on this show is gorgeous! so many pretty people in one studio! :3
I love Tyra! She is amazing :*
I'm 100% white, but people think I'm Asian, because I have a similar eye shape. And I've always hated when people call me that.

Jenn Ifer Jamaican is a nationality.
Jenn Ifer Why would they think that Jamaicans are black?
Jenn Ifer Let me rephrase that, why would they think that the black people are Jamaican?
Eunice's voice is so pretty oh my god
The one in purple is so beautiful! I love her eyes!
the Korean girl looked like she was really trying to hold her anger in
I love the way that she addressed this issue.
"oh my god you're so hot, Dayum" had me ROLLING. lmao
this show is not a joke, these are real issues that really do happen. i face this issue every freakin day. im really happy someone is actually talking about this.
what`s their problem, i`m russian and i don't care if they call me ukrainian, or sweedish or whatever
thank you, people dont understand that and the fact that this earth been around to long for any human to be one pure race
all these women of different races just stereotype each race and act asif they have it worse off there just as bad as eachother
Hahaha correct
I worked with a Korean woman once and she was so bubbly and lively and we talked about it and she told me that she always keeps a smile plastered on her face because otherwise people think that she's mean.
I've never understood the Mexican car stereotype. I love how friendly-oriented they can be. But I'm just an outsider looking in.
One of the wisest things I heard here on the blond ambition "Tyra Show" is when Tyra said she feels connected to other people of color and all people of color need to support each other. Well said Tyra.

i love all of tyra's impersonation of different type of guys.
2nd girl in blue: bitch you are white! You can be white and Mexican at the same time!
? she said she was white. they weren't talking about race in this video, they were talking about nationality.
I love how she is doing this race thing...
gradyboi2 she is doing it wrong
Lol the first girl thinks she's so hot. #DoYouHaveAMirror
What i like about this is that Tyra mocks some nationalities and using some preconceived notions herself...while trying to expose and stop the issue!!
I GUESSED THE KOREN LADY RIGHT!!
thats why i love tyra, omg.
I LOVE TYRA!
i like the way tyra speaks french " oh mademoiselle bonjour viens ici" it's just amazing
tyra's impersonations so cute and good :)
Tyra is the bomb! Older white lady bingeing!💕
I have many mexican friends and I love them! THANK YOU!!
I LOVE TYRA
