VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Shyla and Jonathan live full time in the skoolie conversion with their 4 children. Making the decision to live off the grid was an easy one for this family of 6. Once the Jobe family decided to buy their bus, they built it out in 9 weeks and hit the road, wasting no time at all. They have since made some renovations that fit their needs for homeschooling and making the off grid life easier. The parents really thought out every detail of the bus for their family and make living off the grid with kids look doable for any family. Thinking about taking your family on the road and living the lifestyle? Check out this amazing family and their adventures for inspiration! I can't wait to see where they go next.

I love the idea of actually having a bunk room! It gives both kids and parents their own space.
I thought that was Dave Grohl for a second
Wow this is one of the best bus conversions I've seen. They were great with the layout. By looking at the inside you would never know it's a bus. They were very good at utilizing their space and had excellent organization skillsThis one's my favorite so far. Great job.
@@tonyamd9800 I am in agreement. This is the best build and use of space. I am loving the kitchen, living area and the bunk room. Definitely a thumbs up to this build.
@@sandi7262 Exactly, and gives me great ideas for when I eventually buy myself a bus.
I love your bus, your living my dream. I subscribed to you so I can follow along. You have a nice family and I’m very happy for you.keep up the good work. ♥️this is lady from California 😘♥️
I’m glad they sacrificed their bed space so the kids can have more bunk space! Good parents
First design I have seen like it

The dish dry/storage cabinet is BRILLIANT.
brilliant idea yes
Yes, that’s a staple home design in Finland kitchens. I’ve been designing on my tiny house and will def be including in my rig!
Bisho Khan well, America is doing it wrong then; I’ve never seen this before. LoL
This should be a thing here as well.
Great idea.
RIGHT
Is she an interior designer? OMG I love the design and color combinations in this bus!
Doesn’t look like it
I was thinking the same thing. She has the boho look looking great throughout the home. It takes a trained eye or someone gifted with an artistic eye to be able to combine so many colors and textures and end up with beauty instead of chaos!
She's good 👍
Nico 😘🤗
Same
Dorothy is the best Schoolie. Hands down. ❤️❤️❤️
Love the bohemian style and with Covid being so bad homeschooling and dry camping are definitely the way to go
I. LOVE. THIS. It's organic, really DIY, not just fckin "Aesthetic" but actually functional and in harmony with the tiny houses and motorhomes way of sustainable way of living. Bravo! 👏
This is by far one of my favorite buses. I love the artsy aspect of it and how it screams hippie vibes to me. It’s so pretty and cozy.
I like that lady. She's the real deal. I've seen this bus before. Good to tour it again.
Their kids are getting a real education on the road. Travel really opens your eyes. They'll see in person what others only see on TV or in books. I was fortunate to spend every summer growing up traveling. I knew kids in my high school who had never left the same crappy little town. Now I've been to 49 states. Life is good. 👍🏻
I can't tell you how much I respect that you don't force this on your older children. I've seen too many busses where the parents claim it's a dream and the teens look suicidal. Being a mother of four I remember that need for space that the older two had. This is the best of both worlds and a lovely build where your children aren't an after thought to decor. This is a home on wheels. ❤
She has the coolest style I’ve ever seen! It’s so different in the best way. My favorite feature would have to be just that door to the bunk room, it was beautiful! And how cool that they did that, that’s what I would wanna do too. Most skoolie parents put the kids in the middle but I know how important it is for kids to have their privacy too, especially teenagers and having to be in such a small space already, it’s even more important so I think it’s really cool that they did that. My teenager has the master bedroom in my house now, I have the smallest room. When you have kids you make sacrifices for them so they can be happy. And when they are happy, it makes you happy.
Yes! These styles are completely what makes the bus feel like a livable unit instead of a mobile garage you happen to travel in. Some of these bus conversion I swear are meant to drive people nuts with their color schemes! Like hello people you are designing your home away from home! Make it a real over the road experience not a designer garage.
Too many of these bus conversions turn into terrible investments because they aren't long term livable and comfortable options for all parts of the family. Some people change their lifestyle to fit around the bus, and some people fit the bus around their lifestyle.
If you want long term stability in a bus that feels like home, DESIGN A BUS YOU FEEL CLOSE IN HEART TOO... not some dumpy ass modern slick but not comfortable experience... Uhhg these are the one family that I see really feeling stable in their long term bus home decisions.
This is one of my favorite builds!! The layout, design and decor are amazing!!! It is like living in a beautiful piece of art!!! Thank you for sharing this amazing bus build!!
Cheers
It's a bit too visually busy for me but it's nice to see a bus that's so full of personality. It looks like a home. I also love the layout.
This rig is designed different from most rigs, I love it !!
To me it is a cross between bohemian, 70's, with splashes of colors from India, especially in the living room.
You guys got the 70's vibe going on outside, (paint colors) and with yourselves as well.
Good job !!
I'm digging this !!
I've never seen that wet dish cabinet utilized before, like I'd never heard of it or even thought about it! It's genius, no need for a drying rack sitting and taking up space on the counter!
It’s rare to see someone who can combine so many colors and textures and to create beauty instead of chaos. The boho look of this home is gorgeous!
I love the build and they seem like a awesome couple. They actually put a smile on my face so thank you for making my day better.
Truly a beautiful home. A good way for families to come together. This is the best way to live.
...yay to "happy" colors that create cozy...also huge yay to all the personality Dorethy has...such a great vibe to a what looks like a very fun family....
These people are so lucky to find someone who want to build campervan with them. And spend their life together.
I love the rugged multicolored wood in the kitchen
What a f**** beautiful and functional DIY Skoolie! Sorry for the F word but it was just right to show my astonishment looking at how much space they could cut out in a school bus....
A kids' room, an L shape kitchen and a full bathroom worth a High Dollars RV!
Freaking genoiuses they are!
their style is everything I hoped to see in a bus build... true inspiration
Also love the divider slide out door between the bunk room and master bed, with the cool paisley design!
So jealous of these kids! 😊 They get to live in & grow up in a 😎 cool AF boho magical adventure bus! Beautiful ascetic! Very inspiring atmosphere! 🎉
This is one of the best skoolie layouts I've seen. It's so roomy and homely.
Homey*
I love this bus! The materials they used came together beautiful.
She is amazing the best build I have ever seen that is comfy...she has a lot in such a small space...love it...very happy couple ENJOY LIFE!!!
I love the layout!!! I need a print of it. Genius! You go girl with that kitchen🙌
Love the dish drying rack inside a cabinet. Personally every home should have one like it for dishes. Lol then just hand dry pots and pans put them away, then counters are clear. Very clever. Love the whole bus design. Thanks for sharing. Look so cool and homey.
This is the most unique and beautiful bus I’ve seen! Wow!
I love watching these videos. When I first started this one, my OCD was kicking in & all the mixed colors/textures/etc were overwhelming. Not my particular taste (I'm more into minimal/clean design), but then I see something like that dish drying rack/cabinet & I'm floored at how ingenious an idea it is, so I am so glad I watched the video. Also great use of space in the bunk room.
me too.. i love the layout but the colors and textures
I watch buss and van life channels and see alot of vans and busses but your is so much more cooler and more spacious its awesome
One of my favorites. A dish drying cabinet! That is so smart
This bus is really very well designed. Love how they have the living room and kitchen, divided. Makes it look more like a home.
Separating the shower and toilet is a pretty cool idea. The more of these I watch, the more ideas I get about how to use small spaces.
Love the whole look of your home on wheels. Happy and safe traveling.
Everytime it moved to a different section of the bus I was so shocked each space had so much room! I'm getting a medium length shuttle bus soon and I'm excited to see how much I can cram in lol very inspiring build
10:02, I actually got excited when they showed the other room😂
They make me smile. It's not often you discover genuinely happy people. Glad they have been able to find their niche and make it work for them when SO many people are miserable at both home and work. Good on ya, Jobes. LL🙋🏻♀️☺
This is one of my favorites!!❤ I love it especially all the wood & bathroom sink! The hippie vibe is perfect.
The decorating is fabulous, takes me back to the 60's, what a fun couple, they got style and adventures to go...I really dig this...!!!
I had to look twice, that place almost looked too big to be a bus XD
Teens are socially focused. They're all about their friends & social activities. It makes sense that they want to be planted in one spot. Once they hit 18 they're going to want to git the road. 😊
I love love love this bus. It's so beautiful and free. It's would be my happy place too.
She has a great taste in designing the interiors, loved the colourful vibrant bohemian design. It is one of the best builds i have seen so far. It is so unique..
The cabinet over the sink, with the rack is brilliant

This bus and Bertha Bus are my two favorite skoolies for families. They have the best layouts and use of space.
That's a real home on wheels. Happy one, too.
Omg I absolutely love every part of the bus. So bohemian but functional and practical. Have yall thought of designing Reno's on campers/buses?
this house is so vintage and like hippy vibes and I love it

I don't have a van quite yet but I am looking for inspiration and I would probably do the same thing with my cupboards. Stay positive ❤️
Reminds me of a boat. I lived in a tiny house and a 5th wheel. This is well done and fantastic!
Brillant design of the space for adults and children. Each can pull a disappearing act and get some space to recalibrate....great teamwork Job's....very exciting bus!
