Thank you so much Lucy, I really really enjoyed watching you show us all the patterns and fabrics too. I really really love ❤️ the skirt which was really really stunning and gorgeous too. I might have to have a look at it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

I like the dress with the tulip sleeve option. Will wait until they go on sale, so will keep an eye out.

So glad you like them, I have so many ideas I just wish I could make them all myself, although I think I would need about 500 wardrobes if that were the case!

Happy Wedding Aniversary in advance and have a fab trip!
I have made an over sized shirt in the lemon stripe fabric and it is lovely to wear. Would you say the instructions in Mc Calls patterns are easy to follow for an experienced beginner? I have never used Mc Calls patterns before... Are they appr as Simplicity? You showed some really lovely models here. Thanks!

Hi Anna, thank you, yes fingers crossed we get to go, I'm not so sure we will at the moment. Yes I would definitely try McCalls they are the same approach as Simplicity and there are so many fab designs to choose from too. I've been making them right since the start of my sewing journey.

I started sewing at 15 in the 70's and these patterns remind me of what was popular then. The only problem is the amount of pattern pieces. I was happy to do easier patterns the last few years I got back into sewing...but I see the current patterns are back to a more fitted look with too many pieces to peak my interest! (notched collars..buttonholes)
Most not suitable for a woman in her 60's! I wore these styles once upon a time. Peasant dresses were very popular in 1976. I worked in a showroom that sold them that year.

I am currently sewing the McCalls M8042, The sleeves are so confusing based on the instructions. If anyone has made it, any tips, on putting the view A sleeves in?
Purchased the dark floral fabric with the bright red flowers and it is beautiful, was not disappointed when it arrived.

I find it offensive to see someone licking their finger when touching paper. a bad habit which spreads disease. Turns me off

sparkleinCO it’s a new world. I’ve tried to condition myself to using hand sanitizer to wet my fingers for aiding turning pages and opening plastic (type) bags.
