Hiking Thru the Bible: Samson's Riddle

Day 15 on the Palmetto Trail. It seems like it's taking a long time to get through this Enoree passage. Today was the most "boring" day except that I had to cross a log high over a stream. I didn't want to wade due to the sores on my feet from my fire ant attack, so I chose the log which was a bit scary. Otherwise it was mainly walking through woods with the constant nature background "noise". I did 9 miles of trail and then had to walk another 1.3 miles to meet my mother.
Samson fell in love with a Philistine woman and insisted his parents get her for him, they didn't want to of course, but he won out. At his wedding feast he gave a riddle about honey in a lion's carcass. The Philistine men threatened his new wife that if they couldn't figure out the riddle they would burn her and parents place, so she got it out of Samson. He then proceeded to kill 30 Philistine men from another city to pay the reward. Such a brutal society back then. God uses sinners to do His work because what other choice does He have? We are all sinners and God wants to use US!
