I subscribed immediately. It was refreshing to see someone actually working instead of eating and going out with their friends the entire video. This was so relaxing ❤️
So calming and relaxing all your videos. Being a software developer myself feels so good to see a similar lifestyle. Thanks Jackie! How is London treating you? Do you like the city?
found you on instagram and was so happy to find out you do youtube! This is such a calming video yet not boring for a moment. I liked how you show different facets of your life (work, self-care, winding down after work) and your little commentaries about the nuances of software developtment. As a developer myself I resonate with this so much. Luv to see more week in life videos :)
I’m currently a returning student and learning to code it’s just kind of weird because I’m studying for these IT certs as well, lol. Not exactly sure if coding is what I want to do, but it is alluring. Really liked the video!
Been watching a lot of your videos lately, they're super interesting and educational. It's actually unreal how intelligent you are, and it motivates me to strive to learn more and stay curious. Thank you so much!
Im a civil engineer and my plans have changed a lot because of the whole pandemic thing, since i was studying abroad. Im currently starting to learn to program. Im doing the cs50, its challenging work, and i have been procrastinating but your videos reminded me that its doable. Thanks!
Hi Jackie! I recently found your videos and I like them so far. I just wanna say that you need urgently a wrist rest girl! min 1:00 One tip I can give you is to fold a small towel until it is level with the keyboard. That's what I do with my Keychrone K8 :)
OKAY UMM SIDE NOTE U ARE SO PRETTY AND LMAOOO THE EUPHORIA CLIP AT THE END LOL and yes queen that would be so helpful if you talked about projects you’ve worked on and that edge sheet journal you were talking about!
I have the same keyboard! I’ve been at amazon 2 years now but as a L1 in the warehouse. Now I’m in the amazon technical academy to get into the SDE side of amazon :) I’m excited
I like a lot what you said about the "untold truth" about software development I never had to think too much about code and projects so when I got to the final courses at school, following a methodology and having that many meetings was exhausting and totally ruined my relationship with the degree
Absolutely loved it! It’s interesting to see what working at Amazon is like. I work at a much smaller independent company as a software engineer and am thinking about making the jump 👀
you are the only one who i really enjoy watching… you are very motivating, funny and cute and you help us on gettin a better understanding of what a life of an Engineer could be. Thank you for your videos but i missed your funny face in the intro 😂
That was a fun video! Thanks for sharing your week! I loved your comment that recharging means not talking to people! I was wondering, what is the most difficult part of your position right now? (Understanding that you can't share anything proprietary about your work)
Olá Jackie, thanks alot for sharing your week! I feel your mechanical keyboard - had the same sensation when I got mine... Make sure to try a wrist rest, works wonders for me!
I was in a 6 months free fullstack bootcamp that I finished at the end of September, I started working in mid-December as a junior developer, I'm self training in my workplace, no mentor no training from the company yet, I'm not assigned any project either hahaha I'm doing mini projects to learn things by my own rhythm and space
Love it! I also enjoyed the length of the video 💕 Im going to join a coding bootcamp end of this month so I would love to see your current desk set up🧚🏼♀️ kinda motivates me even tough i have no money for another keyboard😂
Hi from Brazil! Português não é problema, pelo que vi... você me pegou em background in Mechanical --> degree in aerospace --> same here... Dr. in Applied Aerodynamics... university professor. Durante o doutorado aprofundei minhas habilidades em programação a ponto de querer atuar na área mesmo depois de quase 20 anos atuando em aeronáutica. Adorei o canal... abração!
Does it get stressful sometimes when you start working? I used to be quite interested in coding like around 5-7 years ago but now I am focusing on video eidting, filming and music.
I really like your style and videos. An advice I would give you is to maybe smooth out the transition between some scenes, or overlay the audio tracks. It would make you videos a bit smoother. Keep up the good work. 🔥
I loved this video, it was great watching your week in the life - i just wondered, why don’t you work outside such as the park of coffee shop? Is it due to the meetings you have?
So I am trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up and this job is very interesting to me. I do have a couple questions though. Do you ever feel depressed working from home all the time? Do you ever feel stressed?
Hi Jackie, I have noticed that you are using the Sony WH-1000XM4. I am currently searching for good ANC over ear Headphones for Homeoffice. I do really like the AirPods Max as well. (I am working from a Mac and have a couple apple products). Though I would really like to know how your experience is with the Sony. Do you like them so far? Is the experience of switching between apple devices nearly as good as with AirPods in your opinion? Thank you so much for your answer. I really like your videos. You seem like a really calm person and in rest in yourself. Have a nice day. Greetings from Germany. :)
Hello! I just can't understand why do you blur all the programs and the codes? It's confidential? Even if it is, there a long distance between the camera and the monitor, the video clip is weaker if you blur the monitor, if you don't wanna show the code, then reocrd from another angle. It's easy as it seems to be.
Hi Jackie, Just want to know that as software engineer in Amazon, what type of work are you currently getting to work? I mean what types of task/tickets are been assigned? Like your contents so far.👌🏻👌🏻
Hi Jackie. I really enjoy your videos. I'm a self taught web developer but it took me way longer and still not completely ready to crack the interviews (working still on DS and Algorithms). Anyways, I was just curious what your main stack currently is at work? thanks and keep it up!
Unfortunately I’m not sure if that’s something I can share, but personally I’ve coded in Java, Typescript, JavaScript and Python and I think Java is definitely worth it :)
Hi Jackie, first really good video thanks for sharing with us. Can I ask which headphones are you using? And it would be great one video about products ( electronic ) which you are using. Good luck 😊
I wish I could edit a video like this :)) Btw, why you keep your laptop half way open and don’t close it completely when using the monitor as external? 🙂
Thanks so much! It’s the royal kludge RK68 65% I quite like it, just uploaded a desk setup tour video it has all the details and a sound test of this keyboard ☺️
I watch this video to increase my motivation at work. Lately, videos like this have had a huge impact on me. Thanks, Jackie!
Thank you, i'm glad it helps! u got this
I'm a mechanical engineer making the leap into software development! Cool to see another person succeed at the transition.

Super content! Do you ever miss going into the office? Do you have the freedom to choose when you want to go in?
Can you do a video where you explain how to work from home. What programs do you use, how do you share your files etc
great video! very nice vibe 🤙
You actually have weekends? And a social life? I am very impressed!

Hi Can you please suggest or make some roadmap video about what to learn to be a software engineer?
I loved this video, it was great watching your week in the life - i just wondered, why don’t you work outside such as the park of coffee shop? Is it due to the meetings you have?

Do you have anything to share about London living?? I just moved here recently for my software engineering job🤞🏼
Hello!
I just can't understand why do you blur all the programs and the codes?
It's confidential?
Even if it is, there a long distance between the camera and the monitor, the video clip is weaker if you blur the monitor, if you don't wanna show the code, then reocrd from another angle. It's easy as it seems to be.
Hi Jackie! Love your vidss, what camera do you own?
Hi Jackie, Just want to know that as software engineer in Amazon, what type of work are you currently getting to work? I mean what types of task/tickets are been assigned?
Like your contents so far.👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you so much ☺️ unfortunately, I can’t share that type of details about my work!
What stack do you specialize in? Still working with python or switched to another programming language?
You should do a vid on your desk setup
Coming soon :)
How long do your workdays usually last? How do you structure your time for work when doing WFH?
I’d say the standard 8h a day :) it varies a bit, the video gives more detail on that, but I usually start around 9/9h30!
What programming languages do you use? And what type of software engineer are you?
Hey, really nice setup you got there haha better than min for sure. May I ask what languages do you use? Do you work as a freelance?
Hi Jackie. I really enjoy your videos. I'm a self taught web developer but it took me way longer and still not completely ready to crack the interviews (working still on DS and Algorithms). Anyways, I was just curious what your main stack currently is at work? thanks and keep it up!
How did you go from ME to programmer? I am 2 years into my ME job and wanting to be a developer!
What programming languages do you work with at Amazon? Just curious whether Java is worth it.
Unfortunately I’m not sure if that’s something I can share, but personally I’ve coded in Java, Typescript, JavaScript and Python and I think Java is definitely worth it :)
Tolles Video! Very motivatin, I feel like i have a very similar backround!
When do you usually start and end your work?
Hi Jackie, first really good video thanks for sharing with us. Can I ask which headphones are you using? And it would be great one video about products ( electronic ) which you are using. Good luck 😊
yess coming next ☺️ I use the sony WH-1000XM4 they’re pretty good
I wish I could edit a video like this :))
Btw, why you keep your laptop half way open and don’t close it completely when using the monitor as external? 🙂
Haha good point, sometimes I just forget to close it 😭
Very motivational please make more

What branch of programming do you work in? what languages do you use?
Where did you buy your keyboard? Also very nice videos!!
