The State needs to send in a forensic account to audit the HOA books. I can almost garuntee you that one or more persons on the HOA board is pocketing a large portion of that money.
It will be a cold day in hell before I allow someone to tell me what to do with my own property.
This is so messed up. I live in Stapleton in an affordable townhome that I purchased. They need to vote the HOA out.
I would NEVER buy in an HOA neighborhood. I'm SOOOO freakin glad the longtime residents of my neighborhood, most of which were the original owners that built the house, fought back and blocked the newcomers several years ago that tried to form and force an HOA on everybody. Nearly everybody I know that lives in or has experienced an HOA describes nightmarish harassment from them, saying they're basically nothing more than a bunch of old militant "you know what" that really have nothing left to do in life but go to their graves basically harassing everybody else.
Don't buy a home in an HOA or POA and you won't have this issue.
But the thing is with the HOAs they're like the mafia when they move into your territory whether your property and house is not on their list and then all of a sudden that they start knocking on your doors stating now your house and property is on their list you cannot get rid of them.
I have enough Taxes in my life to live by, Never buy a home with a HOA and this problem will never happen

I have NEVER met anyone who told me they were glad they belonged to an HOA....not once and I am 67 years old. We just had a yahoo in our Neighborhood try to start up an HOA by sending us all paperwork to form one. He was told if he was not happy with the Neighborhood he could always sell out and move and we were fine with NOT telling others what to do on a piece of property they paid for.

Get the federal government and have them tax on it the HOA and I bet you all the leaders go away because they're spending the money on their own homes like so many other HOA stories at all comes back to the embezzlement of the leaders of the HOA that the fines are so ridiculous
Anytime there is an HOA generated foreclosure, it needs to be examined by state AND federal government.
Surely it is long past time that these HOAs were reined in and subject to strict regulations.
Whatever happened with this? This is what my family is dealing with now. They told us they would stop fining us after we fixed our blinds and got rid of the weeds but now we suddenly owe $500 in a few months time. Wtf
I refuse to buy a house that has an HOA. Bought a house in Florida 5years ago and was specific about not showing properties with HOA. Wife wasn’t happy thought I was being cheap. BS. Lived in California where HOA existed in the neighborhood and was getting horror stories from some of the neighbors. Finally, they held elections and ousted those in charge and in the next motion dissolved the HOA. Only item people paid for was about $125. Per annum to keep up the green belt, playgrounds and pools. HOA rules said house had to be painted earth tones when purchased my house was shit brown with white trim. Changed it to a brownish gray (ash) with bottle green trim. Old HOA member 4 houses down didn’t like it but quite a few people used the same color scheme. Don’t like the HOA? Get elected to office with friends and Chang rules or dissolve it with minor tweaks.
File a case in court and sue turn the fines around and get paid for the harassment that they put you under like so many other people have done because of HOAs horrible opportunities ahead is what HOA stands for

HOA is not government. They’re private blood suckers that way too many Americans fall as prey to.
@@msshieka943 Due to their nature as a non-governmental entity, HOA boards of directors are not bound by constitutional restrictions on governments, although they are de facto a level of government.

Start cleaning the scope, and pre chambering rounds. Fix up the ole Gilley Suit and reserve a practice slot at the range. Read up on varmint hunting laws. Then rid the world of some pesky critters.
