Moody Model 496 waxing lyrical and play test

I will remember to film in landscape mode, one of these days. Quick sound test and a bit of gibber about some of the repair work that was carried out on this cute little Australian fire breather.
More geek stuff: I also forgot to mention that the preamp had been previously modified - the first gain stage had a rather large 1meg grid leak resistor, with a 470k plate load and 2.2k cathode (bypassed). - doesn’t play nice with 12ax7 (lots of crackly dc on the guitar controls) - it came to me with a 12at7 fitted, and the client likes its sound, so that’s what you’re hearing. I like it too!
