It is a crying shame that there are people that still hate people solely because their skin color is different" TILL THIS DAY!" Peace

How do you sock a man so hard, and still keep your hat on and look soooo fine!!! GOD blessed that man in so many ways-fine, an outstanding singer, handsome, a gentleman, strong, not afraid to stand up to wrong --and forgiving, and let us not forget Hoss-to me he has those same qualities in every way--only a woman would know when they see a gooooood man!!

I love when these writers give big ol Hoss an opportunity at expressing a fine and outstanding form of wisdom, that instantly changes a false construct or dead belief that is no longer reconcilable with contemporary social norms. And then when William Marshall, a great name as well as talent brings his amazing bass, vibrato, into the realm of our imagination and captures same, instantly with resolve.

Brilliant episode. It well demonstrates the ugly nature/reality of racial bias, and how people have to be all but deprogrammed to embrace and celebrate the things that they do not really comprehend.

This is another great episode. It shows racism to the extreme in North America. It still exist today in many places.

It's unfortunate but this fictional account was a situation many blacks endured through the ages in America. So many black singers, performers and others endured terrible, humiliating treatment just trying to do what their white counterparts took as their due. There's no way on the face of the earth I would've song a note for these people. The people who "hadn't made up their minds" as Hoss puts it, should have sufficient reason in the Good Book they claim to follow to do the right thing without me performing for them to convince them of what should be obvious.

Republicans wouldn't approve of Bonanza these days. Too much critical race theory. It would be changed to all the citizens welcoming Bowers with open arms and treating him to high tea.

      Apparently you are unaware that:
      - It was a Republican (President Lincoln) who freed the slaves.
      - It was the southern Democrats who founded the KKK to terrorize freed blacks.
      - It was a modern Democrat (then Senator Joe Biden) who told Republican President George W. Bush, that if he nominated the first Black woman (Bush was considering Judge Janice Rogers Brown) to serve on the Supreme Court, he would filibuster and kill her nomination.
      - It was the southern Democrats who enacted the "Black Codes" (after the Civil War), which were gun control laws intended to disarm slaves, freedmen, and African-Americans. They are still at it today.
      - It is the Democrats who continually require that US taxpayer give billions of dollars to Planned Parenthood to end the lives of unborn babies. Those aborted babies are disproportionately black and minority. Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, a well known and documented racist and eugenicist. She believed that blacks were inferior human beings, and she thought that they should be stopped from reproducing. This is why she promoted abortion in black and minority communities. It is still that way today.
      - It is the current prominent Democrats who shame, belittle, and cancel blacks who leave the Democrat party to become independent or Republican. Those Democrats call them all manner of racist and bigoted names (e.g. Uncle Tom, etc.). Those Democrats are appalled that blacks would think for themselves and escape the Democrat plantation.
Democrats have a long and deep history of racism, especially against blacks. Perhaps you should educate yourself on history. You seems to have never learn of it, or you have conveniently forgotten all about it.
