    Very happy with mine. I have a traditional (not a flowthrough) can, and put an adjustable gas block on it and no other modifications. Gun ejects perfectly at 3 o clock all day long, and not as dirty as most DI guns running suppressed. Extremely pleased with it, since 300blk can be really finicky switching between supers/sub, suppressed/unsuppressed, etc.

    I own 3 of their barrels the BA Hanson 10.3 , 11.5 government series and the 8" 9mm 1/2X28 all on pistols and I am very pleased with them. Costumer service is great and very fast shipping. Will be buying more when the need arises.

    I've used this barrel out to 220 yards. It is just perfect for that distance and closer.

    Built my 300blk pistol with this barrel, absolutely love it. Just shot it with my Dead Air Sandman S for the first time the other day. It's still in silencer jail 😔 I shot 123, 150, 190 and 220 grain bullets through it without changing anything and it functioned and cycled everything perfectly! I bought the barrel based off this video, couldn't be more happy! Thanks BA, I'll be back for more in the future!

      What's the total length from the front of the receiver to the end of the suppressor when it's installed? What length handguard are you running with it?

    • @teddydavid2816
      @teddydavid2816 4 роки тому +1

      Hey bro what length handguard would you recommend to have a seamless transition from the rail to the suppressor with the BA 8.3 barrel and an DA Sandman S setup?

    • @AlphaRomeoOneFive

      @@MrEunderwood sorry I never saw the reply to this comment. I have a full video coming up on my build that I'll have out within a week or two. I'm running a 9" enhanced gen 2 aero precision handguard so the can sits under the rail, it's a sweet setup. Front of the receiver to the end of the can is 14.75"

      @@AlphaRomeoOneFive Ah i see that sounds like a dope setup I love that tucked look but I think I want it so I can fire it with and without the suppressor as I won't have a suppressor for a while at the earliest.. but thanks for the response bruh I appreciate it!

      @@teddydavid2816 Since it's kind of a odd barrel length at 8.3" I don't know that you'll necessarily find a rail for a seamless transition. See my above reply for exactly how I have mine. I have a video coming up soon on the full build to see exactly what it looks like.

    I had to break down and buy an 8.5 modern after some mysterious short stroking that started to occur over time in a budget 10.5 carbine barrels , it ran fine for the first 100-200 rounds then just like that started acting up I tried different gas blocks, tubes, buffers, spring weights, bcgs, even opened up the gas port to .120 as a last resort and all I can get to cycle is hand loads of 150gr with 16-18gr of cfe blk I’m thinking maybe the riffling eroded after the gas port

    I currently have a 10.3" 300blk barrel but I just ordered the 8.3" Stainless Hanson barrel. I'm hoping I don't lose too much velocity (or accuracy) with the drop in length. Can you comment on the differences in the 10.3" and 8.3" when range testing?

    • @BallisticAdvantage
      @BallisticAdvantage  6 років тому +2

      Depending on the ammo, you'd only lose 100-150 velocity at most. Accuracy wise, they should be about the same.

    • @philipnorris5577

    Would this 8.3” work with the 8” BCM MCMR Rail? Or would the barrel be too short for that rail?

    • @GTFBITK
      @GTFBITK 3 місяці тому

      It may be if you are running a qd muzzle device or running a suppressor with a recessed blast baffle. For example: the old CZ suppressors

    Everyone else seems to do 9", why the 8.3"? Just wondering.

    • @BallisticAdvantage
      @BallisticAdvantage  6 років тому +3

      Hi navajas rs! So sorry for our delayed response! To answer your question- we make a 9” and other lengths for the 300 BLK Out. An 8.3” works perfectly with a 7” rail whether you want to suppress or not. Some suppressor mounts allow the suppressor to go over the muzzle device a little so that extra length makes for a seamless marriage of parts. Let us know if you have any other questions!

    • @BallisticAdvantage
      @BallisticAdvantage  6 років тому +3

      Hi MSUbulldog21! Thank you for your question and our apologies for taking so long to respond to it. That being said- a standard carbine buffer will suffice. You don’t want to go heavy as the 300 BLK Out is a low pressure round and doesn’t require the extra resistance to operate properly. Let us know if you have any other questions!
