As far as the Subculture palette goes I think I will wait and see if they reformulate it or if someone will come up with a great dupe for it.

A dupe would be amazing. The colors are so gorgeous! I just wish the formula was a little more blendable. 😭🙌
Melissa Kline I just went into my Sephora today because we got it and i wanted to test it for myself. Being a makeup artist and working at Sephora I did like the palette it is hard to blend tho. You literally need to tap once and go in lightly and blend. But like I got it to blend and i really liked it :) I did get a discount on the palette so Im not too mad tbh I still gotta try more color 💕 but, so far I do like it

Just a quick note! I should have broken it down per gram, but I didn't think about it until after I made the video! I don't usually break down products like that in videos, so I wanted to try something new. I didn't think about the fact that most palettes aren't even a full ounce, so it's a little confusing. Otherwise, that part of the video is just there to give you an idea of how much value you are getting for the cost of each palette. Hope that makes sense! 💗

So glad to see a positive points and negative points on the new Subculture palette. Most just don't and I wanted a real opinion. You and Stephanie Nicole and Emily Noel are my go to's for advice on makeup. I love you so much girl! I won't get that palette. My initial reaction was "Hmm nope don't care for these colours". I am a Warm Tones eyeshadow gal. I do have a couple of good Cooler tones palettes but when I buy something I want to use every colour or at the least most. LOL You are the best hun. xo SOrry you were a bit disappointed in that. She is going to reformulate them and launch them out again. Oh and I LOVE that beautiful new Colour Pop Eyeshadow Palette. So pretty!

Plans....I have no doubt my boyfriend will spoil me. He got me some fun Lego last week. He got me 2 Brick Heads from Beauty and The Beast. One of Belle and one of The Beast. They are so cute. LOL He will probably drag my butt out f our nice ac apartment to enjoy a day with him. Not sure. He tends to surprise me at times which is fun really. I hope you have a great weekend. stephanie sprinkle I totally get what you mean. I am a drug store make up purchaser unless I get money from my boyfriend. I want to be sure I am spending my money on something good as well. Norvina and Anastasia admitted that their Subculture palette was a bad formula and that they were going to work on it and release a new formula. I feel it is workable but because it just does not blend well it is difficult for your average person. Even big You Tubers like Stephanie Nicole said it is a difficult palette to work with because the pigmentation is so pure. Stephanie also did not recommend it because of this. I know they are refunding anyone who bought the palette and are taking responsibility which is wonderful. Even Seasoned makeup producers and artists make mistakes. It is why I don't hate on them for this.

Only because she works for a cosmetics company distributor. *grins* Not sure if you saw her review on Morphe Brushes and Crown? Well when she was reviewing the subculture palette she pulled out a couple Morphe palettes and said "Yeah yeah I actually DO own some Morphe eyeshadow palettes". Throwing a bit of shade on herself LOL How do you feel she can be biased? :-)
I hope ColourPop comes out with a cool toned version of the Yes, Please! I'd love to sample their formula for that price but not into super warm looks.
That would be amazing! I haven't really looked at too many swatches but the palette from the Fem Rosa collection looks like it might include a few more cool toned shadows! Although, I think that palette leans more pink-toned, so it might depend on whether or not you like those.
Ive been wanting to try the colourpop eyeshadow but i agree its always out of stock😩

I purchased Yes, Please! yesterday. lol I was keep refreshing the website 30 mins before it restocked, and purchased right at 10 PT. I felt like this keep restocking is some businesses strategies they are using. Like they only restock yes please yesterday. So people would buy some extra products or buy an extra yes please palette. Next Tuesday, they restock SHE.... and then people but some extra products or an extra she palette once again....😂😂😂Even thought I purchased mine yesterday... I kinda want to be done with this kind of strategies

This is just my opinion but I think Colourpop is just trying not to get too far ahead of themselves as far as shipping. I think they don't want to sell so many that they can't get them shipped out in a timely manner and I respect that about them. Most companies would just sell sell sell and then take forever to get them shipped and not care
While I agree that Colourpop's launches can be frustrating if you can't get your hands on what you want, there are ways of increasing your chances of getting a hot item like being on time during launches, using Paypal, etc. Also, they really move a lot of product in a short amount of time. For example, the last "Yes, Please" launch they had over 26,000 palettes in stock and it still sold out in 30 minutes. If that's not a lot of product, I don't know what is.That really shows that you can't sleep on it. If I'm at work I just slip out to the bathroom and order on my phone. lol!
I also agree with your thoughts on the packaging. I'm not a fan of the white cardboard either, but luckily the pans are magnetic. I popped mine out and put it in an empty palette.
I love the double ended brushes in Naked palettes! I use them all the time! I really like the way you reviewed the palettes Andréa!!

I just ordered the Subculture palette from Ulta, but I had the 20% coupon and $125 in rewards points so I picked up $159 worth of product for $3. I won't feel so bad if it doesn't work now
Krista Newcomer I hear you. Macy’s recently had Subculture on sale for 50% off so I picked it up for $21, so I’m feeling better about trying it out at that price point vs. $42.

Andréa Matillano The packaging is absolutely beautiful! I just had to say that first. Lol! Some of the colors are a little dry, but they still work pretty well for me. I wouldn't say it's a must have palette but it is nice. Especially for the price.

I LOVE watching your videos so much! This was perfect for me bc I JUST ordered a TON of new eyeshadow palettes. And the ones I love are the same ones you love! I also watched your other favorite palettes video. I could listen to your voice forever, so I love your longer videos.
Have you tried the Coastal Scents hot pots? (I think you may have bc I think you have a video on them. Lol) I love them so much! I have had such amazing luck with the quality of all their single shadows. I created an entire double sided magnetic palette with almost all CS HPs! I steer away from their purple shades because they seem to be more patchy and less pigmented. I'd love to see you do more videos featuring CS eyeshadows bc the quality, for the price, is just unbelievable!! Maybe a video featuring your favorite shades? Just a video suggestion that would help get the word out on the quality of those single shadows and how affordable they are for those who can't afford even the more affordable single shadows like MUG or CP. Because at $1.95 (or 99c during their sales) a shadow is soooo worth it!! Thanks for making amazing quality videos and keeping me occupied when I have some free time. And like I said, the longer and more informative videos, the better! Xo 💕💜💕💜💕💜

I think I'm holding off on the Subculture palette, although I LOVE the colors. Hoping they will reformulate it. I already find there is a lot of kick-up with the MR, and that's not one of the qualities I like in a palette.
The Colorpop palette was available again this week and I FINALLY nabbed one! Waiting on shipping to see how it works for me.

First things first, I love this video idea. This is such a cool setup to talk about eyeshadow palettes and give some reviews. And I'm so sad about the Subculture palette! I actually really liked the colors and now I'm searching for individual shadow dupes so I can make my own subculture palette out of colourpop shadows.
Also, I bought that coloupop palette from the restock yesterday and I'm so excited about it! Never tried colourpop pressed shadows before.

Hi Andrea I recently bought the swamp queen palette and Juvias place 2 palette. The formulas on both of these palettes are wonderful. I highly recommend these if you haven't tried them. I enjoyed your video!

Hi Andréa, I never comment but I really appreciate your reviews because they're so detailed and objective and not "I totally loved this, I'm obsessed and it's the only thing I use - buy it!" haha
I was skeptical of the subculture at first, but I love the colors so much and I had to get it. I have a newer mod ren palette and I find the two pretty similar. My MR is not really any easier to work with than the subculture at all! I had to adapt my technique to get good results with either. I found Nikkiajoy's application and blending technique extremely helpful (from her eyeshadow tips video). If I use the shadows that way, I have very few issues with blending or patchiness. I really love Subculture and highly suggest it if you're willing to deal with the learning curve.
