I find it very impressive how, as a bass coach, you always convey your experiences to bass lovers and present endlessly good suggestions. It's very rewarding.
Janek! Thank you so much for all the incredible content you put out! I am about to go into my second year of music school, and these videos have helped my playing so much. Your detailed dissections of exercises, techniques, vocabulary, and practice are so engaging and helpful. Your videos make me go pick up my instrument. Thank you 🙏
Iconic Lines is the best music book I've ever had. It felt like I read a light music history book while I worked through every part in all 12 keys. A good recommendation to anyone who want's to make practicing fun and extra interesting!
Hey Janek! Great content as usual. Love the books and the pod. I know you’re in a new setup so this might just be on my end however this might be helpful if it’s not just me. I was listening on Spotify in my car and the bass was very sub/low end heavy. My speakers were rattling (and I have a great Bose system) also the voice was quite sibilant. Again, might just be on my end. Hope it helps ✌🏻
This is just one video, but come times, she practiced the same 8 notes forever. This gives you an idea of what it takes to be the best. She is very humble and says she is not born with talent like many, but you be the judge.
Love your content Janet, looking forward to the new studio setup.

The cords in the bass sound amazing with little bit of scales great sound and tone 👍🏼😎🎼
There's an 80s club song called Go bang by Franco Dinosaur L that I love. That's the bass line I've been working on.
Haha! My first order from you and this happened. All
Good, my copy of Pentatonics comes today. Looking forward to working through the book. 🍻
It would be great to hear you and Kenny talk music / practicing some time!

I think the hardest thing to do is practice simple things and yet it’s the most important thing
Please. For next videos. Set up the captions... For help to non fully English speakers. Regards
Mastery is only effortless after thousands of hours of EFFORT .
Watch Hilary Hahn practice.....8 notes at a time, it seems, until perfection.
