    Hi where do you have your dies made?

    • @DesignbyLaney
      @DesignbyLaney  20 днів тому

      @@claudiachalle3859 I don’t make dies personally - I rely on the printers to order them! I use PrintsWell Fulfillment a lot and they make them!

    Hi Laney! Thanks for sharing this video! I
    own the same printers you have and in addition, a pro white toner printer. Do you use any of your home printers to achieve your flat printing results? Also, have you ever foiled using toner and a foil machine?

    Hi Laney, What paper do you recommend for Invitations please. I have several types. Agfa semi gloss and Bellows lazer jet paper. then I want to foil the bride and grooms names on the same invitation, but I only have an INK JET, I am thinking of buying a lazer jet and double print. if you know what I mean.

    Can you recommend where to buy the printers for flat, gold foil and letterpress machines? Thank you.

      Thanks for watching! There is a LOT that goes into each print method and hundreds of types of machines for each! I outsource 95% of my printing so I don’t really have a lot of advice on machines themselves. I own a Pixma Pro 100 and an HP laser jet m452dw

    Do you know how to create the die templates?

    • @DesignbyLaney
      @DesignbyLaney  3 роки тому

      Most die cutters will give you tips!!! It’s generally just a file in AI with a certain outline or stroke color, depending on who you work with!!!

    Heyy I don't know if you will see and reply to this but I need some help! I want to do a simple flat printing on matte paper for my cards but I realise that in the print shop I go to, the prints are a bit glossy or shiny even when printed on matte paper. I don't know why this is happening and I wanted to know if it's a certain type of paper or ink causing this. I do not want this shine at all as it will not make the watercolour design on the cards look real.

      Usually a certain type of printer that makes that happen! For watercolor I like to use an Indigo printer on eggshell paper. There are several videos on my page about PrintsWell Fulfillment which is my fave printer and this is why I love them! But they are mostly a wholesale printer. It might be tougher to find someone who can do that retail! It’s just the ink sitting kind of on top of the paper and a lot of commercial printers have that kind of look if there’s a lot of ink coverage in your design!

      Steffi hi! For which method? All of these require different types of printers or presses and I outsource almost all of my printing!

    I’ve just noticed how huge your invitations really are. 😳 They doesn’t look like this size on your flatlays. We usually print A6 and B6, so I am kind of shocked.

      Bianka Tóth hahah so funny! I love that! We typically go with A7 (5x7”) but a couple of these recent ones are the next size up A9 !!!
