BLOODY INCREDIBLE!!! Just discovered this gem of a video from one of my favourite FR8 hotspots .11/10 for nostalgia value alone. Thanks a lot for sharing this CLASSIC footage with us.
Late 80s as the rubble from the former platforms was finally cleared in late 1989. Also fits in for that period to with Chinley still retaining the box, station building and old platforms. Was great working up there at the short time I spent at Buxton depot.
The feller at 2:10 jumping down from the loco while moving and running along beside it at full pelt, not sure that would meet with the approval of the Health & Safety Executive ☺

Really sad to reach the end of video. Can watch these all day, (if the wife is out) 😂 Loved the 37 on banking duty. Great footage 👍👍😎
Glad you enjoyed it. You will find some other footage in my library at well.
Brilliant video Phil just the sort of footage I like to see all those lovely locos and wagons

Times have definitely changed!
unlike today, the feller would have to wait until the loco has stopped before jumping down.
Commonplace back then. Did it often without injury haha.
Great video!
Nice video Phil :)
