    Hey Bruce :) awesome to see your set up! It looks like you have some great storage and organizational shelves/bins there. I always have to put everything in those little boxes or else I'll forget what project each thing is for! And an excellent pin vice :) I look forward to your videos on the Pz IV line and of course also the 50 shades of panzer grey. Stay safe!

      Panzermeister36 thanks Evan! Can’t have enough little bins... and Lee Valley has a lot of little tools that are great for modelling. 😀

    I'm jealous of how much space you have, what a lovely set up. At some point my plan is to let one of my boys take over this room and move my stuff down to our basement. It's only partially finished and an older style basement so I'm debating what to do. it will involve framing and drywall, so no easy task. The stash you have is very reasonable, i love the shelves and how organized it is. I probably have more derivatives than actual Panzer IVs. I do have the 12SS IV H with zim, but i promised it to Michael and it's in a box ready to mail to Germany. Thanks for doing this, i have a better idea who is manning the store on the research group now.

      It’s nice to have the space, but I’d really love to be in a real room with windows and real flooring. Hopefully some day when we move into our dream rural bungalow I’ll have an upstairs room to work in... just have to include a fume extractor and buy a quieter compressor. 😀 One thing I’d recommend for a basement setup is some sort of flooring over the concrete. Helps if your basement is damp, and just feels nicer to walk on. A couple of companies make 2’ x 2’ OSB panels with dimpled plastic underneath. They are tongue and groove and lock together, and are really easy to install and cut to size, then you have a sturdy, dry floor that’s more pleasant than concrete.

      @@brucethemodelnoob i was thinking vinyl plank or even tile for the floor, then rugs to warm it up. We will see. I just need to spray for spiders religiously.

    • @brucethemodelnoob
      @brucethemodelnoob  4 роки тому

      Adam Mann you had mentioned you get water in the basement occasionally... how much? There’s no way for any water to dry out under vinyl, so mold might become an issue?

    This is very similar to my setup. I have a 1950s ranch house in some Pennsylvania woods with a cement block basement that is perfect for storage and workbenches. My tools are quite basic but since we're doing a lot of upgrades around the house at the moment I don't really have the extra funds for high end airbruashes and compressors. I make do

      Justin Ruhl sounds nice. I’d love to be living in a bungalow in the woods... some day after I retire hopefully!🤞

      Thanks very much for the kind words and well wishes Kenneth. I’ll definitely give homemade Zimmerit another go at some point... I don’t know if you watch the channel Night Shift or not, but he recently posted a nice video on it using two-part Tamiya epoxy putty.

      Bruce The Model Noob hi Bruce, Night Shift... what a legend he is, he has me in stitches and in awe of his simple but truly stunning videos. The guy is really talented. You should also take a look at Michael Coens Campbell’s UA-cam channel he has a few zimmerit videos on there. Or plasmo he’s great too. Shane Smith, Irish chap brilliant figure painter and model maker. Panzermeister 36, Evan, very young Canadian guy, but wow phenomenal modeller. There just to name a few there’s thousands of top flight guys out there and am sure 1 or 2 will grab your attention 😂👍🏻 anyway Bruce you just keep you and your family safe, keep putting up your own awesome videos, all the very best to you and yours, Kenny 😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      Seans Modeling channel cheers Sean. There are two Spielberger Pz IV books. The first one is a bit dated, but has a bit more info on tank destroyers and flakpanzers. The second one is the most up-to-date for Pz IVs .

    Hey, you dont look like Winston Churchill. Lol
    It's crazy how close yours and my set ups are. The only real difference is the bins on the table. I have bolt/ nut hardware drawers. Everything else is almost spot on and in the same place. Weird.
