Honestly I really like the way you do your commentary. High energy seems fake and over the top and there’s a few creators I no longer watch because it’s tiring to watch them doing that. This way is more like you’re a friend and we’re just chatting on FaceTime. I really like it, it’s real. There’s also a big difference between low energy/tired and low effort. You’re obviously interested in what you’re doing and passionate, just not loud and over the top. I hope people don’t think you don’t care just because you’re lower energy. This is normal, the over the top creators aren’t. Everyone is obviously free to do whatever they want and you do you babe but your way is much easier to listen to and enjoy, I feel. Yes, I'm not Vietnamese but I was doing research for different build styles shown across the various SEA countries and this looks more like some I've seen in Penang.
Yea Malaysian here and I definitely thought that it resembled our architecture more, but some of the build/buy stuff also look very Thai n Vietnamese inspired!

I hate when they reuse plants from other packs! If they had made plants in a style similar to Island Living, we could have mixed and matched between the two packs. I already feel like we don't have enough landscaping options, and I'm constantly trying to disguise that I'm having to use the same plants over and over
5:53 i actually care a lot about they recycling the Island Living greenery, because for us who already have this pack, we are paying again for another pack to have the same thing. I'm very disappointed with EA for this one.
Isn’t that the point though, that they didn’t recycle them? They put other plants into the catalog, but she wants the Island Living ones because they go better with the landscape…?
@@bookcat123 there isn't anything of landscaping in this pack, only interior greenery, everything you need is hidden in showliveeditobjects and showhiddenobjects. However, the itens they used to build the landscape are from Island Living and some Jungle Adventure. This is an expansion pack, the most expensive one, and they didn't even bother to create something new, they recycled and we are paying for it again, for something that we already have in game.
@book123 Maxis recycled the Island Living and Jungle Adventure debug items to create the world of Tomorang. The developers didn't add any landscape plants to the Sims 4 For Rent or the Base Game Build/Buy catalog, new or old. There is literally nothing there if you want to match the world and use simoleons to do so. You can only do that if you have the Island Living Expansion Pack and the Jungle Adventure Game pack. So, it saved time for Maxis and it didn't clutter up the catalog BUT on the other hand, there's always items forever locked away into Debug and LiveEdit Mode. At the very least, maybe Maxis could've turned some of those into actual plants that players can more easily use.
This is such a lovely showcase of the new items in the pack. I wasn't completely sold on the items being widely usable but you made everything look so good, i think i'll def get this pack (once it goes on sale in a few months probably). Also I would love to live in any of these houses.
Hey Deligracy, I loved seeing the little builds of the in the townhomes that can be for rent. You just did them so cute! I love the decorations for both houses. I loved how the exterior was two different colors and then the inside was so differnet from the two. I can't wait to see more of the Sims 4 builds on your channel!

Hey, Deli! If you haven't already gotten another recommendation or watched any of these before, I'd consider The Good Place, Arrested Development, Community, or Brooklyn Nine-Nine. They're all comedies and Community in particular has some Christmas episodes so bare minimum I'd consider watching the claymation episode of that called Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas. It's both an excellent homage to the old classics and a fantastic bit of character development; it happens for an in-universe reason! And thanks for making this build. It's a really nice and detailed set of buildings! I also find it annoying they didn't add some actual landscape items into this expansion pack. At the very least maybe they could've built some proper versions of some of the debug items which never had a catalog version in Island Living or Jungle Adventure and made them for this pack. Yeah, it'd be kind of annoying, but at least it would've been something. (I'd assume they'd have to redo the 3D model to make it usable which would take more time but it'd be worth it IMHO.) Edit: I also second every YT simmer saying more pastel swatches on everything lol. Paint exists after all!
Deli, you're videos are the best because they're so calming. I don't think it was low energy at all. Its nice to listen to your voice which isn't overdone/too hyped like a lot of UA-cam videos. It makes it pleasurable to watch, like listening to a friend
You mentioning TV shows made me think- it would be super fun to remake the Rosebud Motel from Schitt’s Creek with the new rental gameplay. You could actually run it like a motel….I may need to dive into that idea when the pack is out!

You may like the TV show, A Discovery of Witches. It's about a witch falling in love with a vampire in a taboo romance with magic and mystery. I like your build style. I especially like your modern builds.
It reminds me of the Peranakan architecture I grew up with in Singapore. That said, the build looks so pretty I can't wait to download this one. I agree, more pastel swatches would be really nice especially when you want to give a modern take to it. I like that it uses just the game pack and base game, just easier to download since I don't have to worry about the kits and gamepacks
8:28 As a person from a Southeast Asian country (which this pack is inspired by), lighting is really harsh here. It’s very similar to this world so I believe the sims team really does want to get a feel of that for this pack 😅😂
I don't really watch shows too much any more but my current favorite is "Only Murders in the Building." Old favorites include (in no particular order) "Eureka," "Bones," "Dharma & Greg" "Dead Like Me" & "Just Shoot Me." Thanks for the wonderful build

Really beautiful! I love the style of the items in this pack. 😊 also, funny enough, I just finished the Sopranos about a month ago (and watched Mad Men a few years back)! Love them both so much. Sopranos is fantastic, I almost started the show over immediately bc I was so sad it ended. I haven’t found anything that fills the void for me. I might try The Wire next, but if you haven’t watched The Haunting of Hill House, Dark, or The Fall of the House of Usher and don’t mind creepy shows, those are all fantastic. They’re not just horror in a traditional sense, they have great storylines. 😊
I recommend Prison Break!! It’s a similar genre of creepy and violent in some parts, but the huge mystery & all the “how do they get out of this one” moments are awesome!!
Sopranos is a really great show in that it’s so believable seems so real! I think I prefer Madmen because the genre (not being as violent and gory) is more my cup of tea. I also adored the costume and set design from that era!
I LOVEEE this pack so much, these build items look so much like the houses back in Bangladesh in my village too, I didn’t know much much I needed that. The sims is so cool!

For show recomendations, if you haven't seen Peaky Blinders, it's pretty good! It's an entrhalling crime drama that follows a gangster family from the early 1900s. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm obsessed! Also I love the vibrant colors on your houses! I think the green is my favorite ^_^
You might like Six Feet Under, another HBO show with lots of seasons! Husband and I are also looking for a new show to hibernate to over winter, I'm thinking Boardwalk Empire is next on the list.

I love The Walking Dead (especially seasons 1-7). I know a lot of people think of it as a silly zombie show, but it is so much more than that. It has very real characters that, despite the whole zombie thing, realistically go through and endure some traumatic stuff (almost said a bad word there 😂). But it has some really amazing, devastating, and realistic portrayals of grief. Unlike anything I’ve seen in TV. As someone who unexpectedly lost their mother, this show’s representation of grief made me feel less alone. The first two season are really good but it really BECOMES the walking dead in season 3. The chemistry between the cast, especially when Michonne shows up is insane. Another good show is Hannibal with Mads Mikkelson. It’s incredibly graphic at times but the story is incredible. It’s hauntingly, devastatingly, hopelessly romantic while simultaneously being the most horrid, vile thing you’ve ever seen. Amazing acting and chemistry between the cast. Also! Such an amazing build once again Deli! 💌 Your build and design skills improve every single video. I don’t even play the sims much anymore but I still watch you and James haha. 💗⭐️

I have lived in the Philippines for the majority of my life and I have played Sims for half of my life, recently I recreated my new house in the US but I always tried remaking my old townhouse in the Philippines, there's always a lack of the furniture so seeing all the things that will come with for rent makes me super happy. I can fully recreate my house in the Philippines now, we have rattan furniture, ac units, and colorful mismatched, and fully tiled houses. 😁
Hi 👋🏻 Deli! I like the style of this pack as a change with the vibrant colors. I also love the juxtaposition of the wood tones and carvings with that to balance it a bit. The result is that you can have a “loud” build, a muted natural build or a balanced mix. When all the packs can be used there can also be rentals with vastly different styles than this SE Asian one, too. Waiting for the day we can have business & residential on one lot, though. Maybe it’ll happen one day in S4 or possibly in S5 in the future. By the way, I had a lovely brain fart moment where for a second you think something then realize your mistake & that it’s silly. For me it was when you put the yellow desk against the yellow wall & then a colorful poster/picture above it with some kind of bird on it. It seems that your scrolling name Deligracy popped onto it just as I looked & for like, 2 seconds, I was like “Oh, cool! A CC Deligracy poster/pic for in game!” Then your name moved & I was like “D’oh! Facepalm.” 🤣
My sisters got me hooked on watching Prison Break over thanksgiving, I just finished season 1 and it’s wild! It’s a little graphic but the story is so exciting that it didn’t bother me
When you’re done with The Sopranos series, try watching Prison Break from the early 2000s! It’s similarly dark and violent, but so much more psychological too. Highly recommend (although the Theodore character gave me nightmares)
There was a moment when the light was in front of the unicorn plush and it looked like he had a big black nose. It made me giggle so I thought you should know :o)
Here in South Africa, we almost never use floorboards in our homes (or at least here where I live). My home consists of tiled floors, concrete floors and carpeted floors.
I love this build but can you maybe build an apartment building? So far every one I've seen outside of speedbuilds have been townhomes. Which is something people gave been making well before For Rent. I'd really love to see a building where you're building upwards and how that works with the new pack!
They could’ve included so many SEA plants but they chose to be lazy :( we have some of the most vibrant n exotic plants that could’ve been included in this pack. Would’ve liked to see rafflesia in the game ngl

We still have these houses in Singapore called Peranakan houses and they are really expensive.

I love The Walking Dead (especially seasons 1-7). I know a lot of people think of it as a silly zombie show, but it is so much more than that. It has very real characters that, despite the whole zombie thing, realistically go through and endure some traumatic stuff (almost said a bad word there 😂). But it has some really amazing, devastating, and realistic portrayals of grief. Unlike anything I’ve seen in TV. As someone who unexpectedly lost their mother, this show’s representation of grief made me feel less alone. The first two season are really good but it really BECOMES the walking dead in season 3. The chemistry between the cast, especially when Michonne shows up is insane.
Another good show is Hannibal with Mads Mikkelson. It’s incredibly graphic at times but the story is incredible. It’s hauntingly, devastatingly, hopelessly romantic while simultaneously being the most horrid, vile thing you’ve ever seen. Amazing acting and chemistry between the cast.
Also! Such an amazing build once again Deli! 💌 Your build and design skills improve every single video. I don’t even play the sims much anymore but I still watch you and James haha. 💗⭐️
I love the little blue middle apt, but I love the double height foyer area of the yellow.

I have lived in the Philippines for the majority of my life and I have played Sims for half of my life, recently I recreated my new house in the US but I always tried remaking my old townhouse in the Philippines, there's always a lack of the furniture so seeing all the things that will come with for rent makes me super happy. I can fully recreate my house in the Philippines now, we have rattan furniture, ac units, and colorful mismatched, and fully tiled houses. 😁
Hi 👋🏻 Deli! I like the style of this pack as a change with the vibrant colors. I also love the juxtaposition of the wood tones and carvings with that to balance it a bit. The result is that you can have a “loud” build, a muted natural build or a balanced mix. When all the packs can be used there can also be rentals with vastly different styles than this SE Asian one, too. Waiting for the day we can have business & residential on one lot, though. Maybe it’ll happen one day in S4 or possibly in S5 in the future. By the way, I had a lovely brain fart moment where for a second you think something then realize your mistake & that it’s silly. For me it was when you put the yellow desk against the yellow wall & then a colorful poster/picture above it with some kind of bird on it. It seems that your scrolling name Deligracy popped onto it just as I looked & for like, 2 seconds, I was like “Oh, cool! A CC Deligracy poster/pic for in game!” Then your name moved & I was like “D’oh! Facepalm.” 🤣
How'd you get so good at the style of Tomarang already? You've got a real talent for this. Wow!

My sisters got me hooked on watching Prison Break over thanksgiving, I just finished season 1 and it’s wild! It’s a little graphic but the story is so exciting that it didn’t bother me
Indonesian here. Our houses are mostly tiled, because I think it’s cooler (as in temperature). Some people even tile their exterior walls!

When you’re done with The Sopranos series, try watching Prison Break from the early 2000s! It’s similarly dark and violent, but so much more psychological too. Highly recommend (although the Theodore character gave me nightmares)

I love this build but can you maybe build an apartment building? So far every one I've seen outside of speedbuilds have been townhomes. Which is something people gave been making well before For Rent. I'd really love to see a building where you're building upwards and how that works with the new pack!
They could’ve included so many SEA plants but they chose to be lazy :( we have some of the most vibrant n exotic plants that could’ve been included in this pack. Would’ve liked to see rafflesia in the game ngl
