To solve all your problems. Simply use 1000ml of hydrochloric acid and 10ml of hydrogen peroxide stir now add gold bearing pins about a kilo. Then cover with a lid for 40 hours stir occasionally. Now all you have left is everything copper and above on the reaction table. Remember to use hydrochloric acid for washing the foil recovery into filter or you will get chlorides form if you use water. Then all the solution goes back into bucket and repeat. I have recovered the foils from 2.2 kilos of gold pins stored ready for stage 2 using this method. Also nitric acid is not expensive to make £6.00 a litre if you buy your sulphuric acid in bulk. Scale it down try my method you will be shocked and the only gas is hydrogen so as long as you do not smoke near it you will be fine. Making this stage safer and far less energy consuming and more fun. Awesome episode brother

@@ScrappingIrish no problem brother i spent 4 months dissolving metals to see the reaction and learn about the gasses given off and saturation points of all the metals. I am not a maybe or just this amount type of guy I apply math to chemistry for repeatable results. I never use UA-cam to learn as they all use a book someone wrote 30 years ago go figure.

You ever watch Sreetips? I don’t know much about all this gold recovery but he seems to know a lot.
I did see Empire leave a comment, hopefully his suggestion will help you.
    I enjoyed your video.
You too stay safe my friend.
