    What a great build, can't wait for the track videos! With the low end torque this thing has from around 3500rpm, you'll be able to use 3rd many places instead of 2nd to manage traction and save on a shift coming out of corners. Mid range torque/power is under-rated on the track, particularly at a place like tmp. You made a wise decision to go with the gt30 setup, the power band is so usable.

    • @Skirk84

      @@Skirk84 I helped my friend with his supra. It ran on a 100% Stock bottom end 2jzgte vvti, all it had was cams, springs and retainers with head studs. • @Skirk84
      @Skirk84 Рік тому +1

      @@madkas14 yeah sometimes you get lucky. But theres a lot more things to break than just an engine. I twisted a tailshaft, broke a crown and pinion in the diff, snapped axel, flogged out all my bushings, broke a belt tensioning bracket, 3 harmonic balancers, melted coilpacks and wiring, busted radiator, turbo gaskets, catalytic converters, snapped one clutch pressure plate and welded another to the flywheel. I was around 520whp for 5 years and didnt break a thing. Went to 650whp and broke everything listed plus dropped a ring land in the engine. Spent another 5 years upgrading everything to handle 850whp @25psi reliably. I do around 250,000km's a year of driving and havent broken anything in 30 months.

But with good dampening im fine to do 1000 mile trips in it. A lot more comfortable than my 100% standard 4x4 hilux which is rough as guts and just too bumpy for anything passed the local day trip.

    Curious if Link offers some traction management options? Specifically boost by gear, speed sensors for drive shaft & wheels, and ABS integration to fully control power.

    • @Skirk84
      @Skirk84 2 роки тому +1

      Supra has 4 wheel speed sensors that can be wired to the link for the use of traction control, boost by gear or cruise control.
      My boost by gear function worked on removing a percentage of gain from each gear. So -100% for first gear (Wastgate spring minimum pressure), -65% for 2nd and -15% for 3rd etc. You can calculate what boost it will be by the difference between minimum boost and maximum boost.
      If you upgrade to e throttle that's all the traction control you need, modulation of throttle to control wheelspin, though you can do that yourself if you have feet.
