Jeff Lynne shades off!😮
Monday Steppenwolf, For members only. If you're not a MEMBER, you should for this show. "BORN TO BE WILD".
I got a chance to watch the episode, it exceeded expectations!! 😊 Wonderful line up performed by some of the best musicians of the best decade for music, thenk you Midnight Special for sharing these memories with is!!👏👏👏
Mandrill was OK. But they need more cowbell.
I think I like this version of Showdown more than the album version.
Driven by his clavinet, but no closeups for Richard Tandy (a Radio Shack corporation.)
Another fantastic show! I really enjoyed this line up. The hole show was inspired.
Finally get to see it. In my little Southern hometown, they censored the hole show part. Different times.
Rundgren is playing Eric Clapton's fool SG Gibson guitar
wasn't it George Harrisons first?
I knew he owned it, didn’t realize he had it as early as 1974.
Mandrill!!!🐵🤺 🥭🏘️
Looks like the next episode from February 15, 1974 is a Golden Oldies one. It was hosted by Roy Orbison, and also features appearances from The Drifters, Duane Eddy, Lloyd Price, Tommy Roe, Del Shannon, Bobby Vee, and Jackie Wilson.
Isn't it weird that Richard Tandy of ELO died days before this episode aired and Duane Eddy just died the other day, ahead of him being on this coming week's episode.
If I was an older rocker, I'd look at the Midnight Special episode guide to see when my expiration date may be coming up.
Todd can be heard sounding pretty much like that in his current concert tour
ELO ! 👍🔥🥁
I seen this special over the years & never ever heard him say "Give You a Black Eye" until it went viral he sure did say that wow smh
How sad the control this man tried to keep over Tina!😔
"I don't understand.." It's ok Ike..
Todd Rundgren palying "The Fool"!
