@@louispouliot4102 I know what you mean. Heads know. But the fact that they don't get the same love or acclaim as Mobb Deep or any of the iconic duos of the 90s except among fiends of raw music like me and (I think) you, gets to me fam.
@@janga75 Mandrill has some great music. Their self titled Mandrill track is like walking on the wild side of some remote rainforest with your nuts swinging low.
That’s deep bro. Reminds me of the sample in their other song Wreckonize Remix. Bill Withers lyric said “I see the crystal raindrops fall, and the beauty of it all, is when the sun comes shining through.”
This is actually the 2nd Album out of a total of 4 releases that SOLIDIFIED Boot Camp Click as a force in BOTH the underground and mainstream at the time - due to the Beatminerz production & the different characters & style each group possessed. 1.) Black Moon - Enta da' Stage 2.) Smif -n- Wessun - Da Shinin' 3.) Heltah Skeltah - Nocturnal 4.) O.G.C. - Da' Storm
Easily one of my all time favorite joints and I don't know why but I fucking love that part at about 1:47 where they go back and forth with saying Let's Git It On right before the chorus...gets me hype for some reason
Yeah the beat rides by itself then the whole track comes back in at that 1:47 mark. The build up to and at that point intensifies the song. And the video goes right along with it. We’ll formated legendary shit!!!!!
Queens heads fucked with this all day everyday........real hip hop......gave me chills listening to this shit......bigups to brooklyn for this sick track...
I love the perfect blend of intellect in their lyrics, the play on the stereotypical ghetto way their name is spelled, the smooth beat and the classy blend of the hood and their unique style they're rocking. Let's git it on, BIH!!!
dah shinin's right up there with my fav rap albums mainly cuz it's an excellent blend between real gritty underground rap lyrics of people who know...like really know...combined with the beatminerz who are about as good as it gets with underground rap production...just recognizin
When i hear classic shit from da 90s irs misic to my ears .Feel like crying sometimes ,If u didnt grow up in those days sorry .tje best Decade of Music
As a 21-22 year old, to be introduced to this in texas, early early 90s, made me want to get to the NY and stand on the block and just watch. I did not know of anything having to do with drugs, grimy shit, I was in the burbs. I fell in love with the vibe of both of these men. Oh yes, the music too! i had to edit cause i mentioned drugs not to disrespect these kings, but to note the game itself and the devastation of the people in NY late 80s early 90s that made it right to texas. These songs and west coast songs were a preview, or warning to the southcoast states that mayhem and murder was headed our way.
Original true heads. One of my favorite rap hip hop duo groups of all time. Big shout out to the whole boot camp click. And biggups to that boy dru haa
Like being in a time machine! B Ball 🏀 and those incomparable songs from the 90’s. Even though living in Germany. Makes me wanna take the ball and go out.
still one of the sickest beats of all time
I like how they sampled the low end from a song and just added drums, nowadays producers usually cut out the low end to add their own bass
Right? That beat is pretty much saying "fck your beat, I rule."
I agree
Indeed
Filtering homie. Beatminerz are the Kings of this ish.
Most underrated Hip-Hop group in the 90s.
Not round my way
Daniel Meeker in highscool 1994 most of my friends preferred all this east coast but i liked the west better, anyways i got to enjoy both sides.
Jmaccxx here too, this was more popular than 2Pac in Montreal at least up until he died.
They not underrated real hip hop heads know who they are
underrated? Dayum!
1995 the highest of the golden Era of Hip Hop.
1995 was the peak!!!

This track is censored! For some reason the edited version went on the album, the uncensored appearing on a 12"/cds.
