- And here we are at a new month! Let's start with a video that I've been asking for a long time! Here is a video for the Green Goblin from the Spider Man TAS! Good vision ! To next week !

Awesome, I love how you also included Harry's hilucinations of Norman. It helps show how imposing Norman and the Goblin were to him.

@@goblintributemaker2539 I disagree.The voice,laugh and arrogance as The Goblin were spot-on,however the DID angle was an unnecessary add-on to The Character(At least in The Ultimate Universe,the physical transformation somewhat justifies the initial differences between Norman`s persona and The Goblin`s and the two merge later as often happens with real DID alters). In addition,Norman being Fisk`s bitch was spitting in the face of what both characters were supposed to be in The Comics!
It is a different adaption and it made Norman a more tragic rogue. Not every version of Norman has to be pure fucking evil! He was a flawed man who slowly went mad and became his very own demon. And Ultimate Spidey Norman still sucks! I do not care that it includes elements of 616 goblin, that is not my GG.
@@tayojones9460 Completely agree. I find it very interesting when writers take a villain that is normally seen as pure evil and make him sympathetic like this version of GG as well as Joker from the Telltale games. Also, I think this version of Norman took some inspiration from the classic Silver Age version of him so it is more true to the character than people give it credit for.
I never liked Green Goblin as a fucking super mutant I prefer him as a super psycho in a mask
Y'know, haters gonna hate, but this is still my favorite depiction of Norman Osborn.
He basically Batman Animated Series's Joker though i think Goblin is better

Thank you so much for doing this Arkham! One of my favorite characters with one of my favorite songs and they go together so perfectly! I love how this song perfectly described Norman's motivations and his relationship with his goblin personality. I hope you had as much fun making this video as I did watching it!
You picked a great song for GG. I think it would also work for Harvey Dent or Kingpin.
It could work for Harvey sure, but I don’t think it really fits Kingpin all that much since he doesn’t really have any “demons”. I think the perfect song for Fisk is Gangster’s Paradise by Like a Storm but I already suggested to World of Tribute that he use that song for his Kingpin tribute which he did.

That song totally fits this version of the Goblin! I think he's far more tragic than the other versions of Norman (yes, even the Dafoe version).
Although I think they coulda made Norman more sympathetic without making him a wimp!(Like The Comics and Amazing Spider-Man 2 eventually did).Harry`s supposed to be the wimp who rises to villainous glory,Norman was clearly established as having psychopathic tendencies long before he became the Green Goblin!(I mean,this is the dude who set up his lab partner and ex-college professor for embezzlement to steal his strength and intelligence enhancement formula which ended up becoming the Goblin Serum in a lab accident and gave the doctors advice on saving his wife that ended up killing her slower and more painfully.)
The Dafoe version was probably based on this version.
@@goblintributemaker2539 Ya but he wasn`t as much of a wimp in his Norman guise until towards the end!Also,this version of The Goblin failed to kill The OsCorp Board of Directors(Although I suppose you could chalk that up in part to Fox Kids censorship) ,both of the film versions succeeded!
Norman was never a,wimp. Did you not read going down swinging? Norman was at his most devious in that story. And I would not call TAS Norman a wimp, more insecure and afraid. Makes sense since he was concern for Harry (Only version that legitimately loves his son) and he was not a wimp in Spidey 2002, even in the end.
@@tayojones9460 Yeah, I agree. Norman didn't CHOOSE to ally himself with Fisk in the show, he HAD TO out of care for his son. And in the 2002 movie he just had a bit of thick skin, focusing on the job more than Harry outwardly, but inwardly caring for his son ("DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED?!" and "Peter...don't tell Harry" are prime examples) in his own way.

This is my favorite version of Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (besides the comic book version) and this song fits him so well.
For me it’s a close tie between this version and the one in Spectacular Spiderman.

The Spectacular Spider-Man version for me wins out without question!The only thing Ross really did right was the evil laugh and arrogance,aside from that he acted more like a cooky court jester than a businessman driven insane by the pressures of creating supervillains that leads him to eventually snap and become one of the most fearsome supervillains himself!Alan Rachins had Norman`s cold business sense,unapologetic nature and Social Darwinism down pat and Steve Blum had The Goblin`s insanity,cruelty,whimsical charisma and obsession with becoming the new Big Man of Crime by any means necessary!
The TAS was more sympathetic but he was just as dangerous as SSM version.

Nice video! :) I was very-surprised to see this familiar old song used. :) :) I remember this Green Goblin from my childhood though I only ever saw his debut episode. Never knew he had a face-off with the Hobgoblin, who I also remember. :) :) I think I knew Harry becomes the Goblin in future in the show. Watching this vid, I was wondering towards the end what the Green Goblin's fate would be, remembering his multiversal fate with his glider after killing Spidey's lover - especially because of how this cartoon was under a ridiculous conservative rule that forbade use of the word 'death' (like five-years-and-up was too young to know what death is! :(-), making me all the more anxious to see from the vid's narrative how this Green Goblin 'died' in that respect. :) I've noticed it's a rule among UA-cam villain-MVs to usually end with the tribute character's death/downfall/closure. :)
I love how you use a lot of footage of the Green Goblin and Norman's mental clash (or is it G.G. and Harry struggling - I never could really tell the Osborns apart in that show without their clothes and voices aiding me! xD xD), to fit with the song, including a lot of imagery of Norman going crazy and the Goblin speaking through reflective surfaces. :) :) I LOVE the clip of an Osborn's shadow suddenly donning the mask. :) :) On the downside, it stands out when you use the same clips more than once - I think I might've even seen one used three times.
Overall, love the choice of song for the Ed Norton-Tyler Durden relationship between the Osborns and Green Goblin, and the Goblin imagery you focused on in that respect. :) :)

I love Norman Osborn/Green Goblin in Spectacular Spider-Man from 2008. To me, he's the perfect version. He's basically like Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Slade Wilson from Teen Titans 2003, Lex Luthor from Justice League: Unlimited, Vilgax from Ben 10, Emperor Belos from The Owl House, and Black Mask from The Batman.

I'm excited for the future of The MCU, they are planning to have Norman Osborn be the next Thanos for the MCU with his Dark Avengers. Hopefully they'll keep the Green Goblin's obsession with Spider-Man like Thanos to Iron Man but more so and be a verbally abusive father to Harry and see Peter Parker as his true heir and son. A MCU Spider-Man vs MCU Green Goblin would be epic! The Green Goblin needs the Spotlight back on him!

Also,Gary Imhoff`s Harry Osborn had become so incredibly petty and unlikeable by "Goblin War" that by the time he became the second Green Goblin,crashed Peter and the MJ Clone`s wedding and was redeemed by his relationship with Liz Allen(I find it interesting that The Show only seemed to really care for comic accuracy in moments that might justify Deus Ex Machina bullshit like that)!,I stopped giving a shit!
