"I came to see the one who has been abandoned by all. Do you wish for power? To take revenge?" Issei shook his head. "No. I won't become like them. I won't let hatred consume me." Ophis nodded. "You have a kind heart, Issei Hyoudou. That is why you were chosen by the Boosted Gear. Even without it, you have a strength that few possess." Issei looked down, his tears still falling. "What good is that strength if I can't protect the ones I love? If they all leave me?" Ophis extended a hand to him. "Come with me. There is still a path for you, one where you can find true strength and perhaps, in time, new companions who will never betray you." Issei hesitated but then reached out, taking Ophis's hand. As she helped him to his feet, he felt a glimmer of hope. Perhaps his journey wasn't over. Perhaps there was still a future where he could find happiness, even if it was different from what he had once imagined. Together, they left the cave, stepping into the rain-soaked forest. Issei looked back one last time at the place where he had shed so many tears, then turned his gaze forward. He didn't know what lay ahead, but with Ophis by his side, he felt ready to face it.
