Look my Filipino homies. It doesn’t matter that it means his zip code- It IS a gang sign. Filipinos that have not lived in the US don’t understand. A “set” like that originates from US gang culture. Don’t matter if it’s a real gang or not- if you ever walk in any gang territory and throw up signs like that- you are instantly communicating to the other gang that you are part of one. You don’t just “crip” walk cause it’s cool. And if you don’t know what crip walk is- then learn it. Being affiliated with a gang ain’t a bad thing- but face the facts. If you are protected by crips- you ARE a crip.
He has 'crip' homies but he ain't part of it. He has already explained it in a video. And hand signs don't automatically mean gang signs man. And we, homeland-lived Filipinos, aren't as ignorant about stuff like what you're saying. He wants his city to be put on the map and that 22-double O and hand signs he throws are catchy as heck and gets easily stuck in your head. He's being smart about repping where he came from.

@@tomb5511 That's true and it could be dangerous for him but I'm sure his fellow Filipinos there in the US already 'warned' him about it. I guess it's because so many Filipinos grew up listening to 'gangsta rap'. With the exception of some of our local rap artists like Francis M. Michael V., and Gloc9, who are using rap in poetic storytelling, the rest are like Andrew E., although he rose to fame initially as a wholesome rap artist with a Fresh Prince Will Smith vibe, he's also known to be one of the OGs in the underground rap scene along with the more recent rappers that belonged to gangs like TBS, etc., which I'm thinking EZ Mil has also picked up.
