    How can you tell where the center is?

      When you look at the top of that valve, you will see a nut where they open and close the valve gate. In the center, you will see the stud; that's where I'll put my probe right on top of the stud.

    what probe is that recently i brought a longer one but its not conductive lolololl

      A non-conductive probe would typically be made of fiberglass, but I use the Bully Tools Soil Probe, which has a steel rod. However, I had to scrape off the powder-coated layer from the steel rod.

      @@yiazmat7104 A really sharp knife and sandpaper scrape away the powder coating from it.
