Jason (per usual) shreds on this album. The bass on Hammerhead and Desecrator....outstanding .
I can hear the bass just fine🤷♂
Saw them in '88 opening for King Diamond at San Jose, Ca. Killer show!! Glory days 🤘🏻😵💫
Did you want Newsted bass???...Here you have it!!!
🔥🤟🏻🔥
Pozdrawiam Ignata.
CUDENKO !!!
For me, it's their best album, too. I still have my vynil copy, bought about 1987. I saw only Metallica live in 1989, with Jason Newsted on bass. Unforgetable show!!!! In São Paulo - SP, Brazil, Ibirapuera Gymnasium.
check out no place for disgrace. also very impressing over thirty years enduring still listenable. great album
I saw them open for Megadeth in 1986 @ The Country Club in Reseda Ca. That makes me a very special boy indeed.
Lucky 🍀 sounds like a killer show
I love Metallica, don't get me wrong here but I disagree when in every documentary of the early Metallica days everyone says "there was no one playing that fast". There are tons and tons of bands from that very same period of history playing as fast and faster, as heavy and heavier.
True but first album from Metallica is dated 1983, this one was 1986
I must agree, I even heard bands from beyond the iron curtain that were far heavier and way more aggressive than Metallica in 1983.
Well there were Hardcore/Crossover style bands playing more extreme stuff a few years earlier and by the time Metal had about caught up there were early Grindcore and Crust bands going more extreme again.
@@philharmonie3006 Nah, I doubt that "Iron Curtain" part. Metal only really became a thing there in the mid 80s and Thrash in the late 80s. Metallica was revolutionary, no doubt about it.
Absolutely Goddamn Right!
this rocks - thanks - another metal classic masterpiece

Was introduced to this album in 1987
Only on the first song so far and I'm struck by how good this is. Looking forward to checking this album out. I must have been living under a rock.
A lot of us in the 80's were more focused on the mainstream bands and these guys kinda flew under the radar. First time I'd seen anything about them was in one of the 80's metal mags. I was like who tf is this and what kind of name is that. Eventually ended up looking up the name and its definition. Whodda thunk years later the bassist would've become a household name with metal fans. 🤘👍🎸
Yeah this record is f****** killer blew me away
@@lesstackhouse6825Fucking Killer!!
Jason deserved better. awesome
Damn so underrated.
a Masterpiece!!!! thanks again!!!!
Good music belongs to everyone...
I saw them together with Megadeth live . One of the best concerts.
wow in 1986?
@@xtremeunderratedmusic Saw them at Hammersmith Odeon supporting Megadeth too - 6th March 1987. Blew Megadeth away IMHO.
@@SavageGrace Amazing memories here...thank you for your comments.
@@SavageGrace I'm SURE they blew Megadeth away...and yet THEY get the stardom and fame...pure bullshit.
@@SavageGrace of course they blew megadeth away, better vocals, purposefull riffs, melodic solos
they had a much better fortune than dave mustaines ego project.
They are still fucking great live, in 2023 \m/
You saw them live in 2023? Which country?
@@xtremeunderratedmusic saw them a couple of days ago in Belgium (Europe). They did 4 or 5 shows in total incl. Neighbouring countries. Amazing performance!
Love the vocals on this record. Very powerful with lots of feeling.
It was one of my first vinyls, a version released by Woodstock Records in Brazil with great sound. A gem from the first song and the end with Doomsday, I repeated it over and over again, there is something about that dark, sad and aggressive theme and of course the quality of the musicians and the voice, one of the best of its time.
Clearly remember when i heard this awesome álbum in the 80s i Just was a kid yet...good old days
Number fucking one Flots in my opinion. EVERY song kicks a million poser's asses!!!! 🤘☠
A great thrash album one of the ten best.
Yeah....and their last one blood in the water is great..

FLOTS TILL DEATH......
"Flotzilla," the bonus track on Doomsday For the Deceiver, sounds like a sculpture planned as a large sentient entity made of five members of a band, and there is a debate about how to depict twenty limbs, for the melded figure to appear as a mythical creature.
Yes! Brings me back to my long hair days and my thrash addiction back in the Jr. High days in the late 80's.
So you were teenager when the thrash netal scene explode it?You were see Flotsam back in the days live?tell us your stories man/..
@@xtremeunderratedmusic my first show when my hair was finally considered long was Testament and annhilator at the country club in Reseda California. I went with three other long haired friends from my Jr high school. I remember my dad taking me to pick up my friends then dropped us off. The only song I knew by annhilator was Alice in hell, which was played on MTV headbangers ball. They were pretty good though. Then before Testament went on the crowd was chanting Testament for awhile then the crowd would stop then start up again. Testament were taking awhile to set up. Like, a long while, so some joker in the crowd started screaming tes-la-ment, like the band Tesla and Testament in one name and the the whole club was chanting Tes-la-ment. It was very comical and everyone got a kick out of it cause they started late. Also my first mosh pit experience. I remember them looking out from me cause I was short at the time and a lot of people couldn't tell if I was a guy, or a girl cause I hadn't hit puberty yet haha! I remember leaning back against an old long haired guy so he kept pushing me into the pit. I had a blast a wore my overkill here's Challey t-shirt. Testament were supporting the New Order record for their tour. My friends and my ears were ringing the next day. We didn't know why until we were told because of the loud noises. I miss those days. I never got to see Flotsam though, but loved no place for disgrace the best from them, then when the storm comes down and then doomsday though Jason Newstead played on doomsday. Cheers!
@@jeffclarke2768 Thank you for the great story man. You taste the secong wave of thrash metal bands in USA and that's great .
I have seen in Greece (Hellas) Megadeth ,Slayer,Metallica,Anthrax,Flotsam and Jetsam, Overkill, Testament, Kreator,Destruction, Sodom, Coroner,Exodus N Sadus. The best thing i remember is when Exodus come to Greece for first time back in 2002 me and my bandmates created i big logo from exodus and under that we wrote Nort Evia Headbangers which is the island that we born and living at the time and a distance to athens about 220 Km.So we travel to athens to see the Great exodus for first time in Greece.
So as the whole club was a total moshpit we raise the exodus banner that we had painted and in the intro of piranha Retro pronounce...and this songs goes to The NORTH EVIA headbangers...and all the club crowding like they are all from EVIA island ..haha...we couldn't believe and we mosh till death...they took the banner to kept it back in the US for the memories. After that when the show was finished we told to the security guy to give us the Banner to have it in our rehearsal room.
After the show we went to a cly=ub and suddenly Gary holt and Rick hunolt get in and sit to the bar....so we came there to sign the banner...gary told us...hey thats our banner....we want it for the memories...so we told em that is the the most importand thing cause we have a thrash metal band and we will hang em high in our rehersal room...and after that Gary and rick sign autographs and gave us...Great memories.I have upload this live in my channel to audio file...
@@xtremeunderratedmusic that's great! Those were the days and the memories. I finally saw Destruction like 6 years ago. I had release from agony and cracked brain when they came out. They played nothing from those two records.. I had a cracked brain tee-shirt and people said I looked like the kid on the tee-shirt hmmm. That's great about the Exodus story. Can you share a link?
@@jeffclarke2768 Sure man..well cracked brain is a great record and i love it...Very underatted album.

I saw them open for King Diamond in the 1980's. The P.A. was terrible but they played well. Someone stole my car stereo that night after breaking my window to get in (Harbor Theater, Ecorse, Michigan. Bad night. Iron tears flowed 😢 I do like this record though.

The lyrics,well....I understand some others not.But the album is great and yes Is more Thrash but with Speed elements
"She Took An Axe" sounds like the legend or filtered story of Molly Hatchet, a scary figure one wouldn't, when lit, want to meet in a lit room. Now I viewed the current photo at 07, and it appears the work done on the lower abs of the far right standing figure is from a very determined amateur trying to get the undercurrent for later beri-beri to burgeon in the old age of some actor seen as ideal for projections in future aging, with the show of style for a nod to the software job enhancing the effects of gravity on the aging, formerly called the rocker. The rocker, for no reason, has popularly demanded proof that some of their reps have a vitamin B deficiency, which is indicated in the from the solar plexus to the waist. Unfortunately for the tinkerers with photographs, none of the trapezoidal models for that area of a humanoid appear natural in the selections of types..
Hands DOWN their best album! Fucking perfect man. 666 Skulls!!!
Oh-six, "Metalshock," brings to mind an early convo on the term "six figures," which average think is a million-dollar annual salary. Actually it refers to an annual income of one hundred thousand dollars or greater. The standard is the 1950's, when hundreds thousands per year was the upper, upper class bracket. Note: class in the U.S.A. is strictly the money bracket. It has other definitions, only in reference to a human bracket for livelihood, it is capital, the cash one earns. Other countries might tend to use "class," when they mean "echelon." "Upper echelon" is course, degree, and established-ecognition dependent.
Jason should of stayed
Jason should have stayed. agreed
Nah! Jason has done plenty of other cool stuff outside Flotsam and Jetsam, he was in Metallica, Voivod, his solo band, and now Jason Newsted and the Chophouse Band.
I agree Metallica did him dirty, but that doesn't deny how much he brought to the band.
Gresy album
👍
Jason Newstead wrote most of this album, but Metallica wants you to think Jason couldn't write music.
The basic riff on Blackened song is from Jason.....
@Xtreme Underrated Music (Ignat Stamaton) but that's 1 of the 3 songs Metallica ever used by him, and not mention, they drowned out his bass on Justice, too, and everything else was considered "not good enough" and is part of the reason he left.
Enter Sandman is Swatting at Flies....
@@Dorotheeslutman9986 Metallica's treatment of him was ridiculous. I imagine that a lot of their later music could've been better if they actually involved him in the writing process but they never saw him as a full member.
@Dexusaz yup, he was just a hired gun. They didn't know how to deal with the death of a close friend, so they took it out on him.

This album was made for $12k !!!
Since my finding this album here, the cover photos, which morprhed into whatever I see right now, are sans connection to Flotsam & Jetsam, and the title "Der Fuhrer"is unrecognizable. I think if it were the band that wrote and plays Doomday For the Deceiver, the article would be "Das." Also the spelling, I think, would be Fuerer for the pronunciation of the German vocabulary.
