You should check out Necrit, he goes into the depth of all lore and also explore theories. He for example has a video on "the call" and the lore behind it and he has been going through this cinematic before too. And when you know the lore, the details become so much more of a wow moment. Like for example that Lux uses magic in front of so many Demacians basically putting her own life at risk to save the others. Not only through fighting Sylas and the freljordians but also because she's risking imprisonment or execution for using magic.
Same regarding the call with Ornn making a weapon, it doesn't seem big in the cinematic but if you know the lore, it's f*ing huge because he hasn't made a weapon for centuries, since his fight with his brother Volibear. He doesn't like to butt in and basically leaves everyone to their own stuff but now he prepares for war which makes things really crazy.
Also that very same Ornn is the one who created aaaaaaaaaaaall those mountains you could see in freljord in the call. He made the mountains. Literally GOAT.
And Pantheons fight with Leona on Mt Targon is unknown lorewise so far but... Pantheon or Atreus as he's named is a man, who became taken over by the god of war, becoming the aspect of war, being slain by a Darkin, but the human inside him refused to die because of God's and aspect, went to hunt down the Darkin, and managed to injure him and barely survived. Because of that he became the new aspect of war, a man with the powers of a god. And he swears to destroy all gods, aspects, darkins and what not who are toying with human lives. And we see him climbing Mt Targon and refuses to fight the humans with his spear because man is not his enemy, the gods and aspects are. So when Leona comes crashing down on him, he picks up his spear. But then gets shot down by what looks like a comet which could be a star sent by Aurelion Sol who basically created all stars. And pantheon or Atreus decides to jump up to him with his ultimate ability. There's a lot more details and I'm not 100% on the details but that's a basic gist of it and that makes the cinematic just so much bigger when you know the lore.
Also for the lux part I find that so much intense, she has no hesitation, she sacrifice everything she had , even her title, don t forget she is in the high noblesse of Demacia. She litteraly renounce to everything even the support of her brother to save him who - let s not forget- hates mages because he his highly indoctrinate ( from the Demacian army).
When my man’s said “I can look up on UA-cam and find like 50 min. Video of all the lore” I’m over here like… lol there’s a UA-camr (Necrit) who’s entire channel is dedicated to league of legends lore. 😂
Glad to see you reacting to this one. League of legends has tons of great cinematic and songs so it’ll be great to follow you along as you make your way through their catalog.

Awaken still is, by far, my favorite song cinematic. You can't beat that Jhin vs Camille last shot. ICONIC.

We don't like mages, but also here's a mage.
Unless they want to sacrifice a large amount of people to take out every spellcaster, makes sense that 'Fight fire with fire' isnt a tactic they can ignore
The video reminds me of the original trailer for World of Warcraft and some expansions, showing multiple battles, but done so much better,
and ya the song is still cool
They have their reasons, in that mages nearly destroyed everything during the Rune Wars. But Lux has had to hide her magic all along. Sylas manipulated her into releasing him, then he came back and attacked them, forcing her to reveal her magic and risk imprisonment even as a noble.
ayo dave, for league content you could also check out some champion themes, a fair few are legitimate original masterpieces.
Im sure more people will add their favourites, but the ones I personally recommend are:
Volibear the Relentless Thunder, a freljordian (league version of nordic countries) god.
Jhin the Vitruoso, a murderer from Ionia who views murder as an art form.
Pantheon the Unbreakable Spear, a man chosen to become the aspect of war.
Pyke the Bloodharbour Ripper, a harpooner turned crazed killer when betrayed.
Fiddlestick the Ancient Fear, one of the founding demons in league's world awakened again to feast on raw fear.
Warwick the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun, Man turned beast knowing nothing but to chase and rip apart those who have spilt blood.
The themes are usually around 3 minutes long so you can make a pretty nice video packed with content and your own opinions, they're also copyright free (as far as I know)

Just found your channel the other day, your reactions are top tier, your interest in the videos, the music, and appreciation of the effort being put into the content is awesome.
If you want a few other gaming related songs, “Divines Lament” from Divinity 2 (which is a game ripe with beautiful songs), “Nightsong” from World of Warcraft, Witcher 3 songs “The trail”, “The hunt is coming”, and “Blood and Wine”, literally any song from Destiny 2 are all amazing listens. (Septiks Redux, Deep Stone Lullaby, and Cabal March are good places to start)

While I like this video better then the other video. Personally I prefer the Imagine Dragons’ original version of the song (Which was also made for League of Legends)
Appreciate you learning even a bit about the lore. Most reactor just admire the graphics itself, little did they know most of League cinematics are done based on lore and you would appreciate and understand it more if you know the context of these cinematics.

In the current lore, Lux is in hiding with other mages even from her family and Sylas is somewhere at Freljord with the winter's claw. The same tribe that Sejuani leads from the Call cinematic.
Hey Dave so a bit of extra context for you.
The man with the Sword fighting against Sylas is Lux's brother Garen They were both born into the noble House Crownguard. (The last name is also literal as both she and he protect the royalty of Demacia. Think of him like the boy scout honor above all sort.
Luxanna "Lux" Crownguard is his younger sister so obviously they are very protective of each other as is shown in the video. The last part of the video where she rises up and the wand spins is, in game, her ultimate ability a giant rainbow laser that blasts in a wide line and is both awe inspiring and terrifying to behold.
Sylas of Dregbourne (Yes literally that is what he was born as) is a revolutionary much akin to our modern day communist revolutionaries. The murder he was blamed for was accidental and all because he himself did not fully realize what he could do. Something he does in video and in game is he can "steal" other champions ultimate abilities. Garen's sword appearing in hand is a sign of him about to smite Garen with it.
When we get to Urgot the ones trying to free him are stopped by a lady pair. (If you already know about them from Arcane you can skip this next part.) Caitlyn is the Piltovan Sheriff and an excellent marksman. Her partner in justice is a former Zaunnite name Vi (short for Violette). The gauntlets she wears were made by a scientist in Piltover that you can learn more about if you have watched Arcane. Yes the Gauntlets help her fight. No they are not necessary for her to fight as she has been using her fists since she was assumedly eleven or so.
Going to Shurima and Ezreal. He's a full on Indianna Jones type that tries bring back artifacts to Piltover, his home city, for them to be studied. He also canonically in game has a bit of a crush on Lux. His savior Kai'sa is a tragic figure and a staunch guardian of all of Runeterra. She actually fell into the void as a child and a symbiotic suit called the void carapace grafted itself onto her entire body. She uses it and the powers that come from it to fight off insane monsters like Rek'sai in "The Call" which you have seen already and thus might already know this info.
And just cause I think quotes are cool and help give character insight

Actually, Vi is short for.... Violette! (What did you think I was going to say? Lol) Arcane captions got it wrong, we see it in writing episode 6. Seriously though, nice lore drop.

From what I heard the soundtrack in "The call" was produced bevore the animation so I guess it was similar here too.
And then they adjusted the soundeffects after doing the animation.
The name 2wei is pronounced something like Tswhy. (They are german. You can look up the pronounciation by going to Google translate and translating "two" to german.
there's also a 5 issue LoL comic series called Lux that could help too
I recommend Necrit and Tenebrix for lore. 😄

Check Imagine Dragons version because they wrote this song for League few years earlier so here you have different tempo instruments ets. I prefer this version becaus it has that EPIC music, but orginal song is also fantastic.

One thing you could do is do a reaction to all the champions each champ has a brief story to explain who they are and youll get to see what they look like tho may want to break it into parts considering how many there are

something nobody seem to know about of the musicians 2wei: it´s funny for me to hear it promounced in the englisch (two-wei) but in german it is a little pun, as the german word for "two" is "zwei" so they just replaced the Z with a 2. therefor it becomes the same meaning, the german word for two

In this cinematic, it looks like the people of Demacia have already accepted mages, but it still hasn't happened in the current lore but eventually.
just because the Soldiers of Garen accept Lux in their ranks, doesn´t mean they accept magic as a whole. Sylas used to work for the mageseekers befor they arrested him. Lux is nobility and has a better start just because of her name and she is with a squad led by her brother Garen as well. Just because it works here, doesn´t mean it works in the whole country
