I have both, have to say the Team Black Custom. The reel is an aluminum frame (stronger) instead of graphite and the rod is a higher quality blank. Both are good combos, the Custom Black just a little better.
Hey Gramps, I got one of the original orange Mach Crush baitcasters. Love mine. You are from my neck of the woods, hope to meet up with you one day. Cheers!
Joshua Boley I have a 7’3” combo, and the rod is literally shredding my line, talked to another guy who purchased his at a total different state, 7’ med/ hey, and his is doing the same thing, we both purchased them at the beginning of March 2021, Your thoughts?.
I have the first gen Mach Crush baitcaster and spinning reel combos. Love them both. Out of the 2 new ones I would get the spinning combo. Love that rod it comes with. My only gripe with the gen 1 version baitcaster is the reel is graphite. I was so disappointed the new version is also graphite. If it was aluminum it would be added to my arsenal in a heartbeat
@@FishinwithGRAMPS I think any angler would be better served buying the Lew’s LFS combo for $150 than the Crush combo for $200 What do you gain with the LFS, an aluminum frame and the P2 pinion bearing. Both are infinitely better than the graphite frame and flashy paint job of the Crush.
can't disagree with that. I can never find them in stock anywhere. I like the Winn grips a little more myself. As far as graphite and aluminum, doesn't really matter to me.
