@@ЕленаАндрианова-е3р Ключевое слово БЫ. Хрущевки сносят только в Москве и метро строят только там. Если бы СССР не убили то в Нижнем в 90-е было бы три нитки метро и кольцевая. А сейчас с 91-го построили три станции, да и то перед ЧМФ. И живу я в Нижнем, причем с 58-го года. Кстати хрущевки были рассчитаны на 50 лет. В СССР их бы планомерно снесли. Но нет СССР. И Нижний Новгород это единственный город миллионник в стране, в котором население убывает. И даже мигранты не спасают. Сейчас население в Нижнем даже меньше, чем в Горьком по переписи 71-го года. И это потому что заводы, НИИ, КБ за 30 лет уничтожили. А те что остались, работают в основном на 20-30%. А в СССР, в 80-е, Горький был третьим по величине городом после Москвы и Ленинграда. Ну, туристам это конечно знать не обязательно.

Here, those people are taking their lives in their hands and this viewer worried about the mother with her baby in the stroller, then remembered that they're not here and in Nizhny, so they're safe(r)!
Hi, I live in Nizhny Novgorod and found, that Nizhny Novgorod is Russian SF 100%! Check some views from "Switzerland" park, Fedorovskogo enbankment, Volga and Oka bridges... Really Russian SF!
@@PerezChilli Yeah, checked out some more photos of the area and these places. Most of them were covered in at least one virtual-tour by an American Expat in Nizhny, too. It does look lovely and stable (unlike the actual San Francisco in the States, where there's streets full of homeless people going to the bathroom in the street), and without needles/syringes all over, like in Vancouver, Canada. The park(s) in Nizhny look like a good place to get a hike in on a near-daily basis. The fair rides, like the swings, are reminiscent of a smaller version of Knoebel's Grove or DelGrosso's, in Pennsylvania, America! Good for the kids and adults on a date alike!

This user has been on something of a "kick" on Russian culture over the past two months, looking up various songs and dances from "Rasputin" by "BoneyM", "Moskau" by DschinghisKhan", "Katyusha" renditions such as by "BAPBAPA/Barbara/Varvara", many flashmobs such as from "Dancing City", and this more recent catchy "Matushka" hit and this "Beloe Zlato" group's streams! There's also many an ex-pat interview this user has looked up like how a Peruvian woman moved to Russia, an Australian family, a Canadian family, some American women, at least one of which to Nizhny, a New Zealander who now works for a Russian wristwatch brand, and this user LOVES the entrepreneurial spirit of a little American ex-pat girl renovating and repopulating her own village she purchased in Belarus! Another American ex-pat moved to Nizhny and did a video on his experience there, wanting to work with the "OKA Agency" which, along with their governor, are working on making Nizhny a destination for western ex-pats! There's also a "Little America" village being built south of Moscow by a "TimKirby"!

This user would just like to point out, from a foreigner's perspective, that one of the seemingly-few potential downsides to Nizhny, east of Moscow, and that "Little America" village south of Moscow, would be that there's no casinos and that Russia, unfortunately, doesn't have more than 18 casinos and only in four relatively-remote regions, at least in-comparison to one another and, namely, to Nizhny residents. What if this would-be resident wished to place a wager, to make a parlay of sports teams on a ticket, or to play a game of cards or a slot-machine from time-to-time? Kaliningrad, Krasnodar/Sochi, Altai, and Primorsky are more than a mere couple of hours' drive from Nizhny, unfortunately. From a tactical perspective, also, this user would like to (and as a "country-boy at-heart") avoid large metropolitan areas like Moscow and centrally-planned cities like Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in case of a nuclear blast and/or nuclear winter (do the winds blow to the east of Moscow or away from it? For example, if Washington D.C. were dirty-bombed, the fall-out would carry over to Baltimore, MD). These are two advantages, IMHO, of living outside, say, an Omsk or Novosibirsk, or the origin of "Beloe Zlato" up in Norilsk, or, maybe, outer-Vladivostock, Primorsky. Russia, get going building more casinos and, especially, sports-betting kiosk-machines, please!!!
@@PerezChilli Yeah, online, but online betting is more subject to KYC-AML nonsense, whereas, at least in the States, in-person betting allows for a slightly greater degree of anonymity, at least up to a certain amount, at least, because it's cash in-hand with no questions asked (up to a certain point, at least). It's just an observation and suggestion, because here in the States casinos are a bit more prevalent and becoming quite the lucrative investment, because many of them fund educational pursuits. If a given Russian region, or school district, could use the extra funding, it's a surefire way to bring in tourist money at the very least.
