- The General Practitioner is most commonly tied in orange, but in this video Stu shows it in blue which makes for a killer low water Winter Steelhead fly. Find all tying materials used on our website!

Great looking pattern thank you for sharing. Keep them coming.
Really like the action of this fly in the water.
So do we!
Good to see you at the bench, Stuart. Beautiful tie.
Nice tie. I was wondering first about the colors but like them!
Great fly. Notice Stuart introduces the fly as a modern version (inspired by) a General Practitioner.
There is not one thing in this fly that distinguishes itself as any sort of GP other than it has feathers wrapped around a hook.
This is the essence of simple-tying. Great reference !
Nice
Nice interpretation. Would be really interested in seeing Stuart tying a standard GP too, never found a video on one I really liked... thanks as always!
Thanks! I will suggest it to him!
Great tie. However, if I only fished flies with perfect heads I’d have to take up golf.
ouch...I just felt our fly tying forefathers roll over in their grave...nice interpretation though
😂😂🤷♂️🤷♂️
This fly may be many things, and effective could well be one of them, but it is not and never will be a General Practitioner. Why not give it its own name?
Good call! We'll try to think of a name for it!
Esmond Drury just came back to life and died again. This is not a GP. Not even close. At all.
Lol. It does look nice in the water but i am real careful about showing respect to a pattern and its originator.
