They were in a car accident & she was thrown from the car, but Will doesn't consider the risk of spinal trauma while carrying her like a sack of potatoes? Make it make sense?
I was thinking the same thing! I have a spinal condition and if I were in an accident like that, it would likely paralyze me if no precautions were taken
Depends on the presentation. If A+B were considered compromised, then they would take priority over the spinal injury. Also got to consider the time it may take for the ambulance to get to them vs running in with her.
Thank you , i was thinking the same thing , see her head wooble up , running with her. One bad move and paralyse . She even can have internal bleeding , well when this is a doctor down , all the moves learned to not do don't apply
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that, because when they were like "let's get a collar on her" I'm thinking it's a bit late, he's just been carrying her around like a sack of potatoes!
DRSABCD basic first aid. Being unresponsive, airway compromised, that takes priority over the possibility of a spinal injury. He also had to get her away from the car in case in blew up or there was a fire.
Philip took advantage of dr mannings unconsciousness and put a ring on her finger and claimed to be her fiancé

The fact that the doctor who CLEARLY knew he was a scumbag and didn't take the ring off throw it at him and remove him from the hospital, it's just disappointing.

It’s so heartbreaking when your trying to save the life of someone when your used to seeing them save lives
Both my parents are doctors and one day my father fell asleep for a moment while coming home from mountain biking. Fortunately he was already in town at that point but even though he only feel from a bike, because he was not conscious for that time he was not able to prepare for the fall and fell face first on rocks and dirt. He was immediately carried by the locals to the the hospital and my mom was there. at that time of the morning other doctors weren't around yet so my mom had no choice but to handle my dad's situation herself. I was only 8 at that time and didn't know the gravity of the situation since I've fallen from a bike multiple times and it wasn't that serious. But when I got older my mom told me that she thought dad was gonna die when she first saw him come in. He had had a fracture on one arm and his whole face was so swollen and bleeding and he was unconscious for hours. Turns out when my dad and his friends reached their destination while mountain biking they did a little picnic at the top and had beer for a little celebration that's why he fell asleep on the way home. He thought it wouldn't hurt at that time and that he could handle it since it was only a few beers. I remember it being almost a month before he fully recovered. Mom said even though it wasn't the hardest case to handle as a doctor, for a moment she didn't know what to do and a nurse had to snap her out of it.
@snowangeliquexx We're in the Philippines and they're practicing in a small town so only a few doctors are on rotation in the hospital so as long a the doctor available is qualified and can treat the patient it's allowed to treat relatives. I don't know all the things that she did or was done to my dad but I visibly remember his arm being in a cast for at least a month (I remember mom saying it was a clean break) and he's had multiple stitches on his body but mostly on his face (also part of his head was shaved because mom had to do multiple stitches there too). I also remember my dad talking about this topical cream he thankfully had because if it wasn't available then his face would have a lot of noticable scars (saying something about this medicine only working for healing wounds and not effective for old scars). I specifically remembered that cause as a kid I was thankful for the cream cause dad really did look scary for the first few days 😅 Apart from getting scans to check for concussions, I'm not aware of other operations if it was done.

@@Nico-rf1ov Unprofessional, has yelled at people for no reason several times such as Dr Charles, despite this she's extremely self righteous and can't keep her feelings out of her job, constantly makes mistaken assumptions as a result of the self righteous stance. An example is the shaken baby syndrome case where she decided the mother was abusive and almost caused her to get her baby taken away when in fact it was not that at all (I won't spoil further). Has gone against patient wishes and hospital protocol a bunch of times with no consequences other than a short lecture. For me, the good parts of her character don't outweigh all this so she's not really likeable but I do understand why other people like her. It'd be better if she faced consequences or grew as a character.

Putting a ring on a trauma victim is medically a bad idea. Shame on that ma. The limbs can get swollen and the ring can compromise the circulation of the finger.
But, when we are dealing with romance and the plot, good medical care goes out the window.
