    You made a comment at the end of your video about leaning on your tripod, as if it had thrown it out of level. I was working on a job once where they were setting concrete forms, and the ground was spongy, and it was pumping when you walked on it And they were having a heckuva time keeping the transit level. They finally figured out that the ground was moving every time somebody walk past the tripod. They dug three post holes about 2 1/2 feet deep and put sacrete in them to set the tripod on. Half the forms on the job were off grade.

      Yeah I have talked to guys that do robotic layout, they say that if you set an instrument on asphalt the heating from the sun can move them too! Just gotta be aware.

    Fill your pole with some sand and weld a cap on. Should get rid of the vibration.

    Very cool Frank Frank. I definitely need to update my receiver. That is a supper nice one. I like the tripod too😍
    You should have seen my set up today with the receiver post tie wired to the skid steer bucket 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣 but it worked

      @@RockCreekEnterprisesNM I have seen some guys build an offset pole from the back of the bucket, maybe worth a try?

    That is some neat features on receiver, they have come a long way. You may be the only one in the world using that technology on a td8. Can’t wait to see the wife’s iPad mounted to rops. 😂

      Yeah no doubt! Can’t wait to run it on the 930 and box blade, I gotta find a iPhone mount for a tractor! 😂

    If you ever let that lazer stuff sit unused for a while or it gets rained on for sure take out the batteries and leave them out for the long unused and if it just gets wet before you can get it taken off the machine be sure to wipe out the battery area with some kind of electrical cleaner you don’t want to fight batteries giving you a bad connection I worked for a company that learned that the hard way I was ready to throw it away but they finally let me clean it and fixed the problem of it shutting off randomly

    Really nice Frank, Lot's of features. I really like that stick plumb setting, would be really handy for the backhoe. With that single slope laser, when you set the slope, how far left or right can you be ?

    • @Digginok
      @Digginok  Рік тому +1

      I have used the slope off to the side a hundred feet or so, not sure what the limit is.. it’s usually close enough for drainage work parking lots and such.

    What’s up with the ole TD15? Looks major! Do you have a good source for undercarriages up there ? I’m hunting an used set of track groups for a td15-B.

      We have a new set of bottom rollers, sprockets, rails and pads for it. The rails are pretty much done off this one. We may have some decent bottom rollers left over.
