BMW 325i E30 Oil Pan Gasket

  • What do you think the odds are the oil leak is coming from the pan gasket? Could it be that simple?
    In the previous video series, we did a manual transmission swap into this 1991 BMW 325i convertible. Once back together, several problems made themselves known including a substantial oil leak.
    Is it as "simple" as an oil pan gasket, or will I be pulling this all back apart to redo the rear main seal?

    did you have to drop the subframe to clear it?

      I did on the e30 but we did not on the e28.

    Was youre crankshaft seal before replacement leak?

      I don’t think so but the pan gasket was

      @@tr3wrench because I also have a leak between the engine and the automatic transmission. It leaks only if the engine runs
