- What do you think the odds are the oil leak is coming from the pan gasket? Could it be that simple?
In the previous video series, we did a manual transmission swap into this 1991 BMW 325i convertible. Once back together, several problems made themselves known including a substantial oil leak.
Is it as "simple" as an oil pan gasket, or will I be pulling this all back apart to redo the rear main seal?
Ugh. Transmission must love the break for freedom! Bright side…You’ll be an expert after this is done.

did you have to drop the subframe to clear it?
I did on the e30 but we did not on the e28.

Was youre crankshaft seal before replacement leak?
I don’t think so but the pan gasket was
@@tr3wrench because I also have a leak between the engine and the automatic transmission. It leaks only if the engine runs
