AC games are great when it comes to accurate historical architecture, but Valhalla absolutely missed it. The developers really had to hype up the architecture because medieval Norse structures were never particularly grand or splendid. The greatest Norse kings lived in longhouses made of wood, not palaces made of stone. There was nothing in medieval Scandinavia that resembled cathedrals or massive fortresses, structures characterized by high ceilings, domes, and true arches.
If he had used the sword that was in his other arm, he could have pushed it through the armor. Scale-mail is notoriously bad st stopping thrusts if you angle it upwards.
@@CoffeeSnep The english didn't really know how to do scale-mail in a super effective way. they just used wool and leather for common foot soldiers. knights had plate.
And Ezio was basically a nobleman before btw became an Assassin. Edward was a pirate first. How does that make sense? The whole premise of those games is that the main characters leave their old occupation behind or still do it but are now assassins a well. You people are just going to complain about everything.
So, looking at it that way, do the Knights have their own game/games? And continuing that thought, I look forwards to something for the samurai, even if it turns into weeb edgelord stuff
talentleesdorito 9 I’m pretty sure this particular little Viking tribe seems to be refraining from those war crimes, which may not be historically accurate but it’s their narrative choice I guess.
I dunno. I forget which game, I think the first one. But the one move I used exclusively was the one where you kick them in the knee and crack their knee backwards. I literally did that to 99% of the enemies I encountered and could do it to. A very satisfying and brutal move by any standard.
Nick Holcomb Actually some villages or clans or tribes or whatever you want to call them did abstain from killing women. It was usually either up to the Earl or the warrior themselves
Favourite moments When the woman puts on the war paint 1st ship scene When the fire arrow volley comes raining down That dude getting impaled by a viking spear Odin The viking that gets impaled and then proceeds to kill the lad The big guy getting killed by the hidden blade

Yes, the show is entertainment based off Norse mythology. Nonetheless, this game looks awesome. Too bad I own PS4 but I have thought about switching to the next gen XBox.
Shame they would not implement it in an AC game. Imagine having to combat enemies differently, so when you have such an enemy you would have to be dodging and evading, jumping quickly and being agile, while striking in specific weak parts to go through the armor and kill. But that will not be the case with the new RPG hack and slash combat. If they had the older one, of the Ezio Games, albeit harder and more complex, then there would be space for such tactical and realistic types of combat, but not here like this...
Paul MAyson actually thats exactly what the developers told this game is going to have. You're gonna face up against enemies late in the game and you might have never seen their type until then. Also enemies have a wide selection of weapons and the dual wielding just makes it even more interesting. Go check out the video with developer commentary on the trailer, it's amazing and very interesting and tells you so much stuff about the game you probably would want to know before playing it.
@@paulmayson3129 You had to combat enemies differently in Unity. I thought they were going in the right direction with the combat in that game, just needed to be improved upon further.
@@ap2579 The thing with a variety of weapons is, all of them are divided into "archetypes" which means they will have the same mechanics within that archetype, thus resulting in a small learning curve in the first place. For example: dual wield sword will have the same attack patterns as dual wield mace/axe. I really hope that Valhalla will introduce unique combat according to what they have claimed instead of repetitive after 2 hours of gameplay and an extremely steep learning curve, same as Paul Mayson stated.

Got love Ubisoft for always doing their best to make these time periods historically accurate, with a flair of Hollywood
Gotta make it interesting
AC games are great when it comes to accurate historical architecture, but Valhalla absolutely missed it. The developers really had to hype up the architecture because medieval Norse structures were never particularly grand or splendid. The greatest Norse kings lived in longhouses made of wood, not palaces made of stone. There was nothing in medieval Scandinavia that resembled cathedrals or massive fortresses, structures characterized by high ceilings, domes, and true arches.
viking: hits metal armor with axe
soldier: doesn't die
viking: *visible confusion*
If he had used the sword that was in his other arm, he could have pushed it through the armor. Scale-mail is notoriously bad st stopping thrusts if you angle it upwards.
@@leorossi8057 BUT VIKING DUMBUM
Billy Bob yeah didn’t you hear the king in the video?
@@leorossi8057 unless you double thread it like the romans did 😈.
Nah, this guy is too ubisoft to think of that.
@@CoffeeSnep The english didn't really know how to do scale-mail in a super effective way. they just used wool and leather for common foot soldiers. knights had plate.
“Hey I’m a Viking”
Ubisoft: “Here is a hidden blade you are now an assassin”
@Quentin Beck the only way they can save this story for me is if the main character is related with another assassin (example Edward)
And Ezio was basically a nobleman before btw became an Assassin.
Edward was a pirate first. How does that make sense?
The whole premise of those games is that the main characters leave their old occupation behind or still do it but are now assassins a well.
You people are just going to complain about everything.
@@supershinigami1 exactly people complain over petty bullshit. the backstory of each character is important to why they chose the assassin lifestyle.
So tell me what you need to be an assassin?
LMAO.
I will say...the Vikings are probably the hardest people in ancient times for me to see as good guys
No one was good back then, and same goes for today
Who's watched this a hundred million times? ✋️
Edit: fck it who's here everyday??? ✋️
Bund
When the Vikings win every season in for honor so you give them their own game...
So, looking at it that way, do the Knights have their own game/games? And continuing that thought, I look forwards to something for the samurai, even if it turns into weeb edgelord stuff
@@roninharriet4886 I mean you got sekiro
Well, yes. But I meant for a assassin's Creed game
Assassins Creed 1
Jordex Fiallo Hey Japan b le losing and we getting our own game as well. “Ghost of Tsushima”
When you can’t decide if you want to play Raider, Berserker or Warlord
Nice, For Honor is the sickest
Warlord all the way
Or what month you wanna release a game...holiday.
Valkyrie☹️
You all can get the SMOKE in duels btw
Who's here after Shadows? Everyone agree Ubisoft makes the best cinematic trailers?
Me!
valhalla trailer was so much cooler imo. the best trailer they ever made was the"assassins creed 3 rise" trailer. gave me goosebumps
Yk ubi does not make the trailers right,, its digic pictures
i just realized this is the first time the main character spoke in an assassin's creed trailer
Assassins Creed three Conor narrates
Feel that Connor gonna get replaced as the most brutal Assassin, not complaining
Killing children and raping their mothers isnt brutal
talentleesdorito 9 I’m pretty sure this particular little Viking tribe seems to be refraining from those war crimes, which may not be historically accurate but it’s their narrative choice I guess.
Yea .. the time is always#### changing :)
We can just imagine a viking jumping from a mountain in a hay cart...
Vikings so hard, they don't need no hay.
Just jump down 300 feet, smack on the ground, get up: "It's just a flesh wound" *shakes it off*
Achievement idea

i’ve never wanted an Assassin’s Creed more than this one.
Zeph so you telling me AC 2 or brotherhood didn’t get you this hyped.
I feel you bro
This isn’t assassins creed anymore m8
Angel Ibarra oh no they did lol, but i’m Scottish, as you can imagine it’s quite exciting to see my favorite game franchise bring vikings into it.
@@ghostpercs hope it will be good then ! It wasn't good when the location was for mine lol
Anyone else pumped for this game after watching The Last Kingdom
Sammeeeee
I still watch this almost everytime I make a video for my playthrough, it’s like a pre workout for gaming
That dude took a SWORD to the knee and didn’t even flinch, in my times that meant quitting your career as an adventurer

In my time it was an arrow to the knee that ended my career :(
Tis a flesh wound.

he's a bloody warrior LOL
He's trained for that
This Assassin’s Creed has more gore
That’s for sure
TeAniMate if it does that would be great
TeAniMate that’s make assassins games better
I mean it’s just a cinematic trailer so idk
It’s just a cinematic, don’t be too sure
I hope so. this character looks serious, time period is serious and harsh, I hope they do justice with realism with combat.
Favourite moments
When the woman puts on the war paint
1st ship scene
When the fire arrow volley comes raining down
That dude getting impaled by a viking spear
Odin
The viking that gets impaled and then proceeds to kill the lad

I thought I was watching the next season of "Vikings".
@Kong The Destroyer how do you rip off history???
Kong The Destroyer its bades in norway and England, not denmark. Plus Vikings is a fantasy series so don’t compare it to history
@@Simon-md3uv Relax dude, Vikings is a great show that condensed nearly 300 years of the Viking Age into roughly 30 years of timeline in the show.
Yes, the show is entertainment based off Norse mythology.
Nonetheless, this game looks awesome.
Too bad I own PS4 but I have thought about switching to the next gen XBox.
TG Stewart it’s not Xbox exclusive btw
TG Stewart just tired of people comparing all Scandinavian history on the show when 90 percent of it didn’t even happen
Imagine this guys visions of "Odin" is just Ezio with a white beard.
It would ve funny cause Ezio exist 400 years into the future, maybe he is a seer
Sadly the the timeline doesnt match up
Is possible men
Same thought...
Damn that’s spot on
i'm pumped up for the game but i'm hyped for the music in the background.
Male Eivor is such an awesome protagonist.
I'm just gonna be throwing axes in dude's faces all day.
That's what I used to do back in Brotherhood and Revelations when that mechanic still existed
COD all over again

Lmao so true
(Guards bring Ezio directly to the leader he's supposed to kill)
Altair's ghost: "All part of the plan"
People that disliked this video are the people that love playing AC Odyssey.
Nope, I enjoy Odyssey, and love the idea of Valhalla.
@Polis Ranger I appreciate you for telling that this a good idea
The teacher: no home work today.
Me: odin is with us!!
That duel at the end really shows how terrifying it would be to face a fully trained knight with their armor, like a tank
Like imagine in real life these are the kinds of wars men fought back than... But now war is immensely different just blows my mind... like can you comprehend it?!?!?!?
Odin himself standing by a tree and watching you fight, his ravens flying overhead. That sight would make any viking fight with renewed strength I’m sure
You know either you are marked for victory or Valhalla at that point. Might as well give it all you got.
If I saw Odin in battle it would be a sign of death actually. Meaning you will die. So of course I'd fight like it.
That's just George. He's the homeless guy with the bird. He lives at the tree
Looked like a rip off a scene from Vikings when Odin's by the tree in like the 1 episode
How_V3ryAwful. Odin isn’t real
Saxxon Guard:*I used to be an adventure like you till I took an sword to the knee
Ubisoft should just make a whole cgi AC movie.
