For me Eye Shield 21 will be always be unique in the sports anime world because American Football isn't really that famous in Asia compared to other sports like Basketball, Baseball, Boxing etc. This also has one of the best cast of characters, there is a lot of character development not just the "hero" team and I liked how the teams merged together in the World cup. I really wanted a sequel since the college looks like they have good matchups all around (although Hiruma's school is OP as hell). Unfortunately looks like the manga is done.

They have Kurita, arguably the strongest lineman in Japan (Gaou is in the semi-pro league, so not in the same tournament as them). So a similar North-South game might work (Guarantee 8 points for each Touchdown).

Football is probably that one sport that I thought I would NEVER find any kind of interest in whatsoever. Watching Eyeshield21 changed my mind. One of the finest anime I've seen so far and I love how they actually take time to explain how the game works - very informative. Binge watching it to the Max!!! Going to watch another episode tonight! Ya-ha!

Guess what i feel most when watching eyeshield 21. When we know ha ha brothers were just punk kids who mess around and suddenly became an athlete. His father said to jumonji to choose friends wisely ad it impacted to his life and career. But when he proved his father they were not trash and fight for their dreams. If you read the comic, his father came and yell at him that if he wants to be in american football, they should never give up

2008 - I start reading the manga & watch the anime. DEC 2022 - Done re-read the manga and re-watched the anime. Manga & Anime had a little bit different storyline but still had the same goal - of course to Christmas Bowl ! Cool Anime & Manga. - Favourite all the time.
After the Devil Bats win they watch Seibu's game and they lose by a lot because Gao from the Dinosaurs breaks kids arm. Then the Devil bats play the Dinosaurs Gao breaks Hiruma's arm this time and he is out for most of the game and Sena plays quarterback. Everyone begins to lose hope until Hiruma comes back in the game Kurita finally gets his act together and defeats gao and the devil bats win, it's a very good game. Then the go into the Christmas bowl against Alexander where that team has the REAL eyeshield 21 and the team also has Monta's baseball here's son. :)
Yep! They barely won then they went off to college and he played against Hiruma and later on there was a game USA VS Japan which was the last game in the series it's quite enjoyable
