One thing that should be noted about extracting equipments from Zombies: some equipments simply don't exist in Zombies (like the EMD Grenade or the Snapshot Grenade). You will have to complete the challenges for these. But the good side of Zombies is that you basically can get weapons (including MWII ones!) and a number of other equipments very easily. It's also a very good and fun experience to level up your guns!
isnt unlocking weaposn through zombies a bit of rng tho? Since wall buys and the mystery box are rng? Unless there's some secret method to get a specific weapon I'm unaware of

I got the game two days ago and I haven’t been able to complete either day. Needed a Semtex kill for one but needed to unlock semtex first and yesterday my 3rd challenge was spawn with a tac insertion and I didn’t have that unlocked. Shit system is shit
I absolutely agree with Covert Sneakers and Ghost! I'd throw Trophy System in the top three as well if you play Hardpoint at all, it helps SO much. Appreciate this video as always though man, I need to get on zombies. Lol
Problem being is that the default classes aren't that great. And if it's not taking out things like UAV's, using the Recoiless rifle on top of an LMG or just jacking up an SO-14 from the MW2 weapons is a prime way of taking down areal streaks.
I can definitely agree with perks being high up on the priority list, because unlike killstreaks, perks help you in all multiplayer modes. Killstreak unlocks for people who primarily play War does nothing for them, which I'd consider myself amongst that crowd. About 90-95% of my multiplayer matches has just been War so far, just like my time with COD WW2 (my #1 favorite COD & a huge factor as to why is War being one of the big reasons).

I actually didn't have a chance to play WW2 when it was around, so this game is my first time getting my hands on the war mode and I have to admit I really enjoy it, like way more that I expected. i have to say war is the best objective game that doesnt involve just camping. its straight up gunplay and sheer power. you can camp all you want but the pushing team will eventually win hard haha
Just as a heads up, you can't unlock the Flash, EMD, Snapshot, or Gas Grenade (in terms of Tacticals) via Zombies because they're exclusive to MP. Zombies has a gas grenade but it's not the same as the MP version.
at first i thought this system was weird but now i like it. my two first unlocks were covert sneakers and ghosts and then since i wanted to grind the mp camos as fast as i can, i just started unlocking guns and completing the ones i have while unlocking new ones, you can easily get everything by spamming matches, i already got all guns and perks and almost all equipments.
Covert Sneakers was the first thing I picked... After watching this, I may need to give it some thought as to what to do next. I primarily play HC so that changes whats most needed I feel... Thanks for posting Ace!
I forget the name but there is a red dot sight with built-in green laser in the armory. If I'm not mnistaken, it increases ADS speed. It is basically a two-in-one attachment.
Tip in case some people are as slow as I am, on consoles, hitting the default reload button on a particular attachment puts that in the first spot on the armory unlocks queue.

I forgot about gunships. "Enemy AC130 above" callouts were the stuff of nightmares on those maps. Thankfully SBMM makes obbies so sweaty nobody's getting that anyway.
I prioritized Ghost, Ninja, Stims, VTOL, Dead Silence and Advanced UAV. After playing on the 9th I figured these items would be tbe most valuable for launch. I haven't been disappointed so far with my choices. Dead Silence/Ninja/Awareness (Sit-Rep) make for a disgusting stealth build, if only stims worked like they did in MW2019, that would have made my stealth build down right evil.
One of the aftermarket sights in the armory has an ads buff of 5ms which is 50% less than what the non visible ads laser gives and they cant be used simultaneosly but i feel having an extra slot for attachments from it is better

I really enjoy using that short zoom sight in zombies. With the integrated laser I will probably forego using it in multi-player. But all pros and no cons anywhere else
I love the new armory system It makes players prioritize WINNING if u want to get those extra Points to unlock after completing the 3/4 challenges ya got. And it also lets you pick what u want for the most part
I agree, the daily’s are challenges you complete on accident and then people actually play objective now, I think if content creators in general put less emphasis on their KD to show how good they are(not this channel) but instead on what you do to try win it would slowly transition back to how it used to be where trying to win was more of an objective than how high can you get your KD
At least IF all the previous Daily Challenges worked... 1st Grade Math seems to be way to challenging for the "Competent Devs" working at Sledgehammer WWII Games!
The problem I have with this armory system is that if you know your team is going to lose anyways, because you need wins after completing your challenges, it’s a colossal waste of time and only serves the purpose of inflating player numbers at the start. But I would say it is a better incentive of PTFO. But with higher skilled lobbies being more prevalent, it makes it unfun when you don’t have these perks, equipment, and killstreaks and you’re trying to earn them, especially solo.
@@ScrubRekker666 that’s no different to normal level unlock ones. Some people were max level after day 1 so it’s the same situation when I have to play against them to level up to get the unlocks
Mine finally started to work when they reset last night. Check to see if yours work now. Hopefully they do. It is total bs when the system you use to unlock this stuff simply doesn't let you. If there is one thing you can't screw up it's ways of progression

I’m a huge ghost player and I’m fine with the as long as your moving but I think there should be a 2-3 second delay to reload at least. You can’t even prone and move cause you’ll show up on radar still
@@David_1789 oh yeah you’d only see it when your team has a UAV then. Basically you have to move 24/7 or else you’re on the radar. Prone and moving is too slow to register so you’re on the radar when prone and moving. Just assume if you’re not moving at all or prone you’re on the radar. It’s not forgiving at all. Even switching from moving right to left you show up for a split second. So you want to constantly move in a circle motion if they have a UAV.
Seems like my instincts were correct about the smooth movement. Do you know if there’s a minimum area you need to travel or a minimum amount of time that needs to elapse before retracing the same spot to avoid detection?
From what I can tell, if you extract with a gun with attachments you don't have unlocked, those get unlocked. I notice a ton of armory unlocks get completed with I exfil with a random gun I found on the ground from mercs, bought off a wall or looted from something.
Dead Silence Sneakers and Ghost were my first two unlocks. But i want to give an honorable mention to the sight you can unlock fron the aftermarket parts that has a built in laser. It has zero downsides to equip, not even an ADS penalty and its a REALLY nice, clean sight.
It says it has zero downsides, but it really should mention that the laser is visible to enemies. When I saw it, I thought it was amazing as it also increased your ADS. There really isn't a reason to use this over a standard Red Dot tbh.
I unlocked covert sneakers and ghost first. Was working thru the guns but goin to run zombies to get those and equipment 👍🏼 ill do perks next and leave everything else as a lil incentive for getting the daily missions done
Ace, are you going to do gun guide for MW2 guns in MW3? It doesn’t have to be detailed but maybe summary of each category like ARs and SMGs and stuff like that? I’m curious about how they perform since they ate ported over.

So there are some attachments that are exclusive to Armory Unlocks… Snakeshot rounds for the TYR as an example. I went though and unlocked a bunch of attachments and aftermarket parts so that i can use them in the zombies level up process. After watching this I’ll definitely be unlocking covert sneakers before driving into MP!
Thank you for noting that the Cold Blooded perk is currently not working. I thought it was just me, and the service ticket I submitted to Activision would never be addressed (other than telling me to 'try clearing your cache and restarting').

I don't want to play Zombies. I also don't want to have to get 10x Point Blank Kills just to earn Ghost. Let me play how I want to play, and Unlock what I want given that playtime.
I would recommend the aftermarket parts because if u get them u can use it even if the gun is lvl 1 so the acr marksman rifle will be full auto which for me is much better than semi auto
I fully recommend everyone to unlock the Sneakers,Ghost and the Weapon Kits And to just have a friend drop you weapons or gear Or just find,buy,earn the weapons,lethals tacticals from Extracting in Zombies. (Do your 3 daily challenges,to activate your bonus challenge which lets you earn unlimited points) Basically making it so each match won,earns you 1 unlock point. Or in zombies complete objectives and extract

There's no significant downside of picking Covert Sneakers over Dead Silence, other than DS gives Ghost too. But DS in MWII has always been criticized because it's a field upgrade, it has duration and needs time to be used again. Covert Sneakers perk has always been the better option than DS Field Upgrade.
Whenever you’re evaluating which items to use, the first thing you should consider is whether or not it’s always active and whether or not it’s purpose is always relevant (for example, climbing boots are nice, but 90% of the time you’re not climbing).
I'm having so much fun on MWIII, if only they would tone down SBMM a bit it would be so much better / more consistent fun. When we play with a party of multiple skill levels, half of the party is getting slaughtered😅
The first I've unlocked were pretty much what you mentioned. I did covert sneakers, ghost, trophy system. And now doing Hijacked IFF strobe. I've got a couple things from exfiling in zombies, but only one gun so far. The MCW. The only guns I keep finding on the regular are all MW2 guns. Sucks. I have got several pieces of equipment and lethals though from zombies.

the game has come to this point that we now have to go thru to unlock basic stuff which was always available in previous games by just ranking up,activison greed is way above this planet earth

The armory unlock is easy... especially if you get your achievements done quick...the bonus is great if you keep winning matches....I've been doing it for many things now
They should make it so when u have a challenge in queue, right after the current one is completed, the queue one is already next up and ready to do, so it doesn’t need to be clicked on to activate bc it’s make the queue feature useless then Better yet the whole armory system should just be like an extra way to unlock things coinciding with just ranking up how every og systems been like forever
Covert Sneakers and Ghost were the first two things I grabbed, I usually run EOD to help negate grenade damage but right now it seems broken and grendades kill you even at full health so its a waste of a gear slot so might as well go Ghost.
Use the Engineer Vest and get two Gear slots, it’s worth sacrificing lethals. Think of the power a team could have if they all ran Ghost, Mission Control Comms Link, and UAV, Counter UAV.
I haven’t been able to complete either day so far. I got it two days ago. First day was Semtex kills and I didn’t have those unlocked and second day was tactical insertion and I didn’t have those either. Haven’t unlocked anything from armory yet

Your lucky then cause most peoples challenges have one that doesn’t track causing a serious problem with getting to the win match bonus. Game is so messed up lol
I hope SledgeHammer is prioritizing Daily's that aren't tracking correctly. For some reason every other Daily I get fails to complete one of the particular challenges. Naturally this makes using the Armory system painful since I have to wait up to 24 to 48 hours for refresh of Daily's that may not even work. I've complete a detailed bug report.
The IFF Strobe bugged out for me and actually said "Cold Blooded" in the Armory Tab, pretty hilarious that the "real" name exists in this game. Even had the snake image.
This is an interesting system and could be fun except I fully expect the daily challenges to be constantly bugged. I have yet to be able to get more than 2 unlocks during a 24-hour period because either a challenge does not track (is broken), or a challenge requires the use of an item that is locked.
Has anyone noticed a change in sim assist? I’m missing shots i would have hit in mw2 because it feels like aim assist isn’t locking on - like the slow down over the target isn’t happening. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but it feels noticeably different
There is definitely something wrong with the game in that department. I have been having a serious problem with almost all of my gunfights. Going between the two games is a night and day difference. I'm sure I'll get used to it. But it is jarring to say the least. I went from earning multiple gunships in a single game in mw2 to being the worst player by far in every game. I am not the best by any means. I'm probably not even good. But there is something wrong here that I can't define.
Once I unlocked ghost and ninja the game got 100x more enjoyable 😂

Get a team to all run Trophy System, EOD, Claymores, and Cluster Mine if you want to dominate.
One of the default classes has cold blooded, so while sledgehammer fixes it, you may want to use it to take down streaks

I extracted with an Experimental nade and it counted for gas.

Covert Sneakers, Ghost, Highjacked IFF Strobe (currently bugged), Assault Gloves…then unlock and rank up your favorite gun.
Pro tip - use the Infiltrator default class while unlocking everything I mentioned so you always have Ghost and Covert Sneakers.
Do you think you can add the reload times from the perk where You reload faster as well as using extended mags for your gun guides?

Armory unlocks for attachments are clutch, i got all the ads attachments for the big sniper unlocked without having to level it up!

I almost instantly got the stim just felt like it was needed with faster movement but hella slow regen time the stim helps a lot.

There needs to be an indicator as to when you’re visible on the radar, like a High Alert type of flash on the border of the screen.

I unlocked covert sneakers and ghost first. Was working thru the guns but goin to run zombies to get those and equipment 👍🏼 ill do perks next and leave everything else as a lil incentive for getting the daily missions done
Ace, are you going to do gun guide for MW2 guns in MW3? It doesn’t have to be detailed but maybe summary of each category like ARs and SMGs and stuff like that? I’m curious about how they perform since they ate ported over.

@@BigOleHayden i really dont get why people care bout this. sure i also prestiged in older cods. but it doesnt mean anything. if unlocking everything AGAIN multiple times for multiplayer is so important, than i think the game is actually not that fun to you in the first place
The only exception to the equipment unlock is flash grenades because so as I know you can’t get that in zombies
So there are some attachments that are exclusive to Armory Unlocks… Snakeshot rounds for the TYR as an example. I went though and unlocked a bunch of attachments and aftermarket parts so that i can use them in the zombies level up process. After watching this I’ll definitely be unlocking covert sneakers before driving into MP!

Assault gloves is a must if you jump shoot.

@@234567kingslide canceling is very broken, should be removed, but have no issue with drop and jump shooting, has always been in the game.
The best thing to unlock is the steam refund.
Because this game is actually CLASSIFIED AS DLC you can get a refund despite playtime!
Only thing I find okay about gun smith is certain attachments on your weapon that you would want you can unlock them without having to level the gun all the way up to get it

I don't want to play Zombies. I also don't want to have to get 10x Point Blank Kills just to earn Ghost. Let me play how I want to play, and Unlock what I want given that playtime.
The aftermarker part sight that has a laser with it. Faster ADS and hip fire with no cons.
My top 5 were Covert Sneakers, Trophy, Stims, Semtex, and Ghost. But i managed to get Stim and Sem on Zombies so now it's 3 to go.
I would recommend the aftermarket parts because if u get them u can use it even if the gun is lvl 1 so the acr marksman rifle will be full auto which for me is much better than semi auto

I fully recommend everyone to unlock the Sneakers,Ghost and the Weapon Kits
And to just have a friend drop you weapons or gear

(Do your 3 daily challenges,to activate your bonus challenge which lets you earn unlimited points)
Basically making it so each match won,earns you 1 unlock point.

You can only use dead silence when the field upgrade is ready, covert sneakers is just 100% quiet 100% of the time.
There's no significant downside of picking Covert Sneakers over Dead Silence, other than DS gives Ghost too. But DS in MWII has always been criticized because it's a field upgrade, it has duration and needs time to be used again. Covert Sneakers perk has always been the better option than DS Field Upgrade.

I still get nervous when using the covert sneakers. So used to someone hearing me from a mile away and tracking me 😂

I'm having so much fun on MWIII, if only they would tone down SBMM a bit it would be so much better / more consistent fun. When we play with a party of multiple skill levels, half of the party is getting slaughtered😅

The first I've unlocked were pretty much what you mentioned. I did covert sneakers, ghost, trophy system. And now doing Hijacked IFF strobe. I've got a couple things from exfiling in zombies, but only one gun so far. The MCW. The only guns I keep finding on the regular are all MW2 guns. Sucks. I have got several pieces of equipment and lethals though from zombies.
The Covert Boots are amazing. Finally i can run around a corner without an enemy already waiting for me
No more wasting a slot on Double Time and crouching to be quiet either!
@@David_1789 I always loved double time I think it's a bit sad you have to dump all the perks that make your run faster if your really want to be undetectable but I guess it's only fair
Great list and video, but I just want to point out that this is not the first time we could choose how to unlock items. Black Ops and Ghosts to some extent did it already
i’ve been using the marksman gloves on just about all my classes & it could be placebo but i feel like i win gunfights more consistently
the game has come to this point that we now have to go thru to unlock basic stuff which was always available in previous games by just ranking up,activison greed is way above this planet earth

I'd defenitely add the Shadowstrike supressor since it has no Cons what so ever.
The armory unlock is easy... especially if you get your achievements done quick...the bonus is great if you keep winning matches....I've been doing it for many things now

except on Xbox I can't use the "cold blooded" perk in MW3 as it sets my guns to a default class used from levels 1-3.... as you covered already :)

Claymores are my best friend in this game and that scatter mine. Too many sneaky people all up in my spawn
They should make it so when u have a challenge in queue, right after the current one is completed, the queue one is already next up and ready to do, so it doesn’t need to be clicked on to activate bc it’s make the queue feature useless then
Better yet the whole armory system should just be like an extra way to unlock things coinciding with just ranking up how every og systems been like forever

Covert Sneakers and Ghost were the first two things I grabbed, I usually run EOD to help negate grenade damage but right now it seems broken and grendades kill you even at full health so its a waste of a gear slot so might as well go Ghost.
Use the Engineer Vest and get two Gear slots, it’s worth sacrificing lethals. Think of the power a team could have if they all ran Ghost, Mission Control Comms Link, and UAV, Counter UAV.

I haven’t been able to complete either day so far. I got it two days ago. First day was Semtex kills and I didn’t have those unlocked and second day was tactical insertion and I didn’t have those either. Haven’t unlocked anything from armory yet
I actually thought this system was horrible at first, but one I did my daily challenges, I got to que everything I wanted to unlock and just win matches back to back
Your lucky then cause most peoples challenges have one that doesn’t track causing a serious problem with getting to the win match bonus. Game is so messed up lol
I went for ninja, assault gloves and the stim first because I played a lot of s&d.
After Ghost and Sneakers I unlocked snap shot and drill charge for an anti camper class.
I hope SledgeHammer is prioritizing Daily's that aren't tracking correctly. For some reason every other Daily I get fails to complete one of the particular challenges. Naturally this makes using the Armory system painful since I have to wait up to 24 to 48 hours for refresh of Daily's that may not even work. I've complete a detailed bug report.
The IFF Strobe bugged out for me and actually said "Cold Blooded" in the Armory Tab, pretty hilarious that the "real" name exists in this game. Even had the snake image.
This is an interesting system and could be fun except I fully expect the daily challenges to be constantly bugged.
I have yet to be able to get more than 2 unlocks during a 24-hour period because either a challenge does not track (is broken), or a challenge requires the use of an item that is locked.
Has anyone noticed a change in sim assist? I’m missing shots i would have hit in mw2 because it feels like aim assist isn’t locking on - like the slow down over the target isn’t happening. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but it feels noticeably different

There is definitely something wrong with the game in that department. I have been having a serious problem with almost all of my gunfights. Going between the two games is a night and day difference. I'm sure I'll get used to it. But it is jarring to say the least. I went from earning multiple gunships in a single game in mw2 to being the worst player by far in every game. I am not the best by any means. I'm probably not even good. But there is something wrong here that I can't define.
@@DoctorDeadbody it's because pc players cried so much that they got aim assist nerfed its nowhere near as strong now then it was in mw2
