Wow, you're really brilliant! (1) I had no idea you could infiltrate your own buildings like that (2) I didn't think of protecting buildings with the chrono legionnaire
+Michael Moen I was saying the same thing. I was like WHAA? I COULD OF BEEN DOING THAT THE WHOLE TIME?!?!?? You need a spy and engineer, damage the building a little bit, send the engineer to fix it, as soon as you do that highlight both the spy and the engineer, enter waypoint mode, select a spot near the building, then select the building, exit waypoint mode, move the engineer out of the way so you dont waste an engineer. Sadly, It does NOT work in Yuri's revenge (apparently)
+Shadowff61337 That was a bug in the 1.000 version of Red Alert 2; it got fixed later, so some (later) versions of Red Alert 2 won't allow you to do it either.
I used to watch my older brother play this when I was little. I was too young to understand what to do but my brother would teach me. Great memory of mine and one that I will cherish. RIP Rob.
There's another mission when you play with soviets, I think its the last mission, where you have to defend your base against yuri spamming his yuri's soldiers, kirov airships and everything else into your base. thats a fucking hard mission.
I remember playing this mission as a 12 year old thinking it was the hardest thing ever took me a whole Saturday haha but now can do with ease lol miss the old times!
@sasuketiger Starting from the bottom; Barracks, Ore Refinery, War Factory, Tech Center. In an ORDINARY game, eg, multiplayer, you should be able to build them. $1500 a pop, and in Chrono Storm, are very effective in groups of four. Send to the far east of the map (use a Spy Sattelite to reveal) and eliminate the 2 Nuclear Reactors. There are 4 or so more on the map; hunt them out carefully, then go after the Superweapons...and then the Elite Guard around the Kremlin.
Damn right. The RA2 Mirage tank might be a bit overpowered but it's awesome. Mirage tank / Prism tank combo = red meat in red-hot packaging, made of the Red Army!
It's nice to see a different view on completing this mission. I usually turtle and wait out the initial nuke and iron curtain. Then, I build a weather control device and a large airforce of 16 harriers. Storm the nuke with your weather control and harriers. You will lose some, but now you are free to churn out prism tanks and take over the map.
a good thing to remember, no matter what game it is, the enemy always hits the war factory first, then i think they go for money or soldiers. but keep the war factory away from your main buildings. atleast this has been my experience
damage it, then go into waypoint mode. tell an engineer to repair it, then select the waypoint you created with the engineer with the spy. then go out of waypoint mode -only works in ra2
Damn you are pro with those Chrono Legionaries. I used a funny method where I teled a buncha Psi Commandos to that place and mind controlled their elite black guard.
I was also informed that after C&C 4 (the return of kane) that they would be plannhing for a new game. I'd suggest that the the storyline has four / five heroes with a special skill and special vehicles each (just like gundam but not gundam units, but rather tanks or aerial or land or amphibious vehicle)
@IA966 he used spies to deactivate the tesla towers. if you send a spy into a tesla reactor it temporarily deactivates all base defences the enemy has.
When I was a kid I could never beat this level no matter how hard I tried. Then when I got older I finally beat it. I was so happy! Then I realized it wasn't even the damn last mission.
@sasuketiger You can't. The IC makes things invulnerable; like the Chronosphere, I believe it immediately destroys unprotected infantry. All you can do is eliminate the Nuclear Reactors before the IC counts down all the way. Take out the Reactors, then the Superweapons, then the Black Guard.
I watched this for nostalgia but my god I learned something new...... I did not know it was even possible to infiltrate your own buildings! Although I noticed others have remarked that's been fixed in later versions of the game. It's a pity as it would've been particularly fun to do that in the Mental Omega mod as it's full of even more tech you can steal! In the Mental Omega mod for instance the Apocalypse tank cannot be built unless a Soviet Battle lab is infiltrated which can be a bit annoying since you're more likely to be against the Allies rather than Soviet opponents at least in the campaign missions. Also the Soviets in it do get a spy equivalent; the Saboteur. Oh well to be fair it would be too easy to get the tech that way though. Still I can dream :D
When I was a kid I finished this mission by chronoteleporting the elite troops to the bunkers on my base, and destroying the static defense by teleporting SEALs in IFVs.
It was always a relief when they'd pass over a building without dropping their payload. The AI Kirovs always went for the MCV, so you could just drive it around and the Kirovs would give chase. lol
@178thbattlegroup This is all about the spy...it's best to practice this against the computer in a multiplayer game. If you send an Allied Spy into a Soviet Battle Lab, you'll get the Psi Commando, a unit that can Mind Control like Yuri and use C-4 like a SEAL. If you send a Spy into an ALLIED Battle Lab, you'll get the Chrono Commando, a cross between the Legionnaire and the SEAL that can teleport, as well as use C-4 charges and instantly kill infantry. Hold on, there's more!
@hamzawhat 1. Train A Spy And Engineer For Each Structure You Want Stolen Tech For 2. Put The Engineer Closer To The Structure Than The Spy 3. Damage The Building But Dont Destroy 4. Use Waypoint Mode- Either Hold Down Z or Click The Waypoint Icon At The Bottom 5. Click The Engineer And While Still In Waypoint Mode Tell Him To Go Into The Structure. 6. Dont Let Go Of Z and Then Tell The Spy To Go In By Clicking On The Box At The Structure. 7. Now You Have Veteran Units
It took me to get nuked twice before I realised I had to do sumtin bout that bloody Nuke and Iron Curtain. In the end, I realised, by using Chrono Legionnaires, if you vaporise all the Nuclear Reactors on the map, the Nuke and Iron Curtain will be powerless! I was never a fan of Chrono technology but after dis mission, I'm grateful!
There is an easy way to win on this map. Simply put up enough defenses to defend your base as you follow these steps: 1. Keep building until you are able to build Chrono Legionnaires 2. Build a Spy-Sat Uplink 3. Send your chrono legionnaires to strike the Soviet Nuclear Reactors at the top of the map, and the rest of them. (This will take down the defenses and stop the countdown for the superweapons) 4. Finish off the rest of the Soviets using your Legionnaires and whatever other units you want
if you want to avoid the nuke damage. build a harbor and sell the warfactory 10 sec before the nuke goes of. it will attack the harbor and it will do less damage.
I played this on Medium or regular difficulty or whatever they call it and THEY RUSHED ME AGAIN AND AGAIN! If they were this lax with me, especially where you're holding down that refinery with just a pill box, I'm sure I could have won my 1st time. And to all those people noticing the announcement of the Kirov, whenever one is built, it announces itself just like Tanya, Boris, Yuri and those flying Disc's... ...so they guy IS NOT Cheating. You ARE Good. Cool Vid, thanks for sharing pal.
What are you talking about? The minimum amount of time required depends on the speed you can get the chrono legionnaires out of your barracks and use them to overpower the black guard (disabling the power is therefore waste of time). Actually 4 is more than enough. And since you can capture about 8 oild derricks & build a purifier right off the bat money is hardly going to be a factor.
If you build more barracks or war factories do you produce the units faster or not? and does it affect the construction of buildings if you have many construction sites?
that happened to me too but this mission a played it after i played soviet mission 11 against yuri,i used nuclear missile to destroy the kremlin because im wasnt read the mission objective just i go to the rivealed spot of the and destroy the building in allied mission 13 i used weather control device to destroy the kremlin and i failed then i thought that i must destroy the kremlin normally then when i arrived near the kremlin i started to destroy black guards and suddenly .....i won lol
@178thbattlegroup If you send a SOVIET Spy (created by stealing a Tech Lab with an Engineer) into an Allied Battle Lab, you'll create the Chrono Ivan, a unit that crosses the Chrono tech with a Crazy Ivan's timed explosives! REALLY fun to warp in and blow a Con. Yard to smithereens! If you send a Spy into a Soviet Battle lab, however...you'll create Yuri PRIME; a Psi-Corps trooper with the mind-control range of a Sniper, and a Psi-Wave with about 3 times the blast radius! Fun!
Yes it is a glitch exploit that occurs when you Force an engineer and a spy into your barracks while its damaged. you have to have both selected though
4*3=12. That's only 2 less than RA2, but they're far more varied and interesting. The desolator is pretty different. It's more a combination of the toxin rebel from Generals and a bit of new stuff thrown in. All it keeps is the name. The units aren't really unbalanced. Sure, the gigafortress is powerful, but it can easily be taken down by repeated aircraft fire. RA2 also had its fair share of imbalance. Boomers, Prism tanks, kirovs. Also, again, you can't complain about NEW stuff...
@branzicanazista no you just have to destroy the nuclear reactors at the east an in the base a use chrono legionairs for this they dont build the reactors again
just a hint to people who want to beat this mission on hard, liberal use of spies on the refinery to the north west will get you so much cash. If you do this every so often every five or ten minutes you'll be able to outspam the AI, although yosh's strat of chrono legionairres is arguably the best
@andrewames247 oh i see, and the best strategy to do this is to make more and more units continuously and send them to attack, right? but thanks again.
I'm a soviet player and used to explore the best tactics for that faction. Even though I don't easily share my secrets, there are some things I want to say. Try Using the elite selection key, health selection key, coordinates key, and beacon key more often. Also, guys are just hardened up with RA2 so they complain and complain. I tell you now, its not impossible to achieve way below par time and 1 vs. 7, both in brutal mode.... and in 7 brutal enemies.
@CKFMproductions I remember there was this chinese website, but i since i can read chinese you might have a hard time. The bad thing is that it's only chinese and if you like cut scenes, there aren't any.
Just completed the allies campaign for the first time in 10 years. Brings back memories. Had to play Chronostorm over and over because of the difficulties in defense and offense against 3 bases.
+TheRealHero1 I started playing it when I started going to elementary school, now, after 10 years I still play it, bring me tears and the feeling of nostalgia, such a fun game
i thought i was doing great then i heard "KIROV REPORTING"
HaMeRuu the thing is they take a while to get to you though
in our language Kir means penis
3 things I really miss from RA2:
Chrono Troopers
Tanya's laugh
The cheers
Wow, you're really brilliant!
(1) I had no idea you could infiltrate your own buildings like that
(2) I didn't think of protecting buildings with the chrono legionnaire
__
He stole his own infantry tech in order to be able to train pre-promoted units?
Da hell?
+Michael Moen
I was saying the same thing. I was like WHAA? I COULD OF BEEN DOING THAT THE WHOLE TIME?!?!?? that spy move what was that!!
same question
Its a bug exploitation
Is it even possible to do that ?
having played this game for over 5 years and countless ingame days. I learnt more watching this than i did in all that time.
Wow that's a very clever strategy! :D I'm impressed.
fuckin' crazy strategy. WOW!!!! But I just know spy can infiltrate our own barrack O.O
aaaw 90's science fiction games... StarCraft, Dark Reign, Red Alert... the memories come so vivid
You made it seem like it was really easy... and I remember that mission to be extremely difficult :p
I love how you have the the chrono legionaire attack your own building at 6:06 to prevent damage.
@Nighscout You spoke my mind on that man, I always played this game with my Dad, when I was 8! Great memories from that. :)
I remember playing this mission as a 12 year old thinking it was the hardest thing ever took me a whole Saturday haha but now can do with ease lol miss the old times!

Lowest resolution available in this game may limit your view and quality, but if you grew up with this, its nostalgic af.
I had a mini HP laptop and that was the resolution I played and it makes me nostalgic
Damn right. The RA2 Mirage tank might be a bit overpowered but it's awesome. Mirage tank / Prism tank combo = red meat in red-hot packaging, made of the Red Army!
because in red alert people can just spy their own buildings and get promoted/secret units - but in yuri's revenge they can't

I spent over 90 minutes on this mission last night lol...you did it in 10. The chrono guys are something I rarely even think about utilising! :O
damage it, then go into waypoint mode. tell an engineer to repair it, then select the waypoint you created with the engineer with the spy. then go out of waypoint mode -only works in ra2
it does that for me too sometimes, I think you just have to be lucky
Damn you are pro with those Chrono Legionaries. I used a funny method where I teled a buncha Psi Commandos to that place and mind controlled their elite black guard.

This is how I cracked this level as a kid! I'm trying to use different strategy now but makes it a lot harder.
1:40 i'm sure that GI shitted himself when he saw that Apocalypse Tank.
@IA966 he used spies to deactivate the tesla towers. if you send a spy into a tesla reactor it temporarily deactivates all base defences the enemy has.
Kirov reporting for duty @ 1:54 😂😂
gave me a mini heart attack
it's those cool pictures of building units, that makes u play that game :D
When I was a kid I could never beat this level no matter how hard I tried. Then when I got older I finally beat it. I was so happy!
Then I realized it wasn't even the damn last mission.
Woah. That tactic seems to cut 30 seconds compared to the old fashioned way. That's actually quite clever :O
One of the best missions in RA2. So sudden and fast at the beginning and tricky at the end.
@sasuketiger You can't. The IC makes things invulnerable; like the Chronosphere, I believe it immediately destroys unprotected infantry. All you can do is eliminate the Nuclear Reactors before the IC counts down all the way. Take out the Reactors, then the Superweapons, then the Black Guard.
good old sexy days, this game was just too good.
I would man, except I've only played RA1 like twice lol :P
I watched this for nostalgia but my god I learned something new...... I did not know it was even possible to infiltrate your own buildings! Sometimes AI target your shipyard first, or as French, their cannons.
5:15 - whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?! You can send a spy into your own buildings to "steal" technology?!?
When I was a kid I finished this mission by chronoteleporting the elite troops to the bunkers on my base, and destroying the static defense by teleporting SEALs in IFVs.
HAHA. Nice 7:40. The tank didn't even come out of the factory yet.
It was always a relief when they'd pass over a building without dropping their payload. The AI Kirovs always went for the MCV, so you could just drive it around and the Kirovs would give chase. lol
I like yoshq6 cause ive been watching his videos for a long time and im very very good at capturing construction yards

you can also capture the airfield on the north to built the naval yard and sell the war factory so the missile won't hit your base
I never used waypoint mode before
But it really seems useful, I should try using that
The atmosphere in this game is pure gold...
@hamzawhat
1. Train A Spy And Engineer For Each Structure You Want Stolen Tech For
2. Put The Engineer Closer To The Structure Than The Spy
3. Damage The Building But Dont Destroy

As an Allied player when online the words 'Kirov Reporting' always struck fear!
here's a hint man, they always nuke your war factory no matter where it is, and if you attack it with a chrono legionaire you can even save it.
well done. that at first attempt took me days to completely wipe out entire base of map and 10 times suffer nuke attack
Whenever I watch videos like this, I forget that I'm not the one playing. XD
It took me to get nuked twice before I realised I had to do sumtin bout that bloody Nuke and Iron Curtain. Wow... I didn't even know you could send spy to your barracks. Will try it later!
+budakbodo991 Dosen't work, wonder what mod yoshq6 used
+boujounomono I didn't use any mod, you pleb.
+budakbodo991 Spy into enemy taining court can make your army better
i can't imagine a world without RTS games, is my drug of choice XD
That was brilliant useing a crono legioniare to save the oil man that was amazing.
nah, I've only made 2 maps in my life =p
there are lots of great missions out there for download on fansites for you
@MrElSatan
yea you can play online. You have to buy it on ebay or etc. need official copy to ply online. its a good game

@yoshq6 Can I ask you, what did you used to record it ? My HyperCam wont work :D
Nice you used the same strategy I did using chrono legionaires to knock out their power.
Dan, Quick, effeciant, use of every troop. You can lead me into battle any day, sir. lol
totally oppinion based. imho ra3 is a great addition to the series because of the tactical parts of the game
nice i beat this w/ chrono legionares too
How well do you do online ?
if you want to avoid the nuke damage. build a harbor and sell the warfactory 10 sec before the nuke goes of. it will attack the harbor and it will do less damage.

wow! Great fast pace quick thinking battle.
@Zhulecek It's kinda a glitch that they've patched already if you got a newer version of this game.
the most lol is to use ships,,, buildshiptyeard near the airfieldand then build a chronosphere to transfer them close the enemy base... gold
@beataens1 It doesn't strictly need to be as I said. Also, all 5 heroes are under one faction.
Clever use of chrono-legionaires.
4*3=12. That's only 2 less than RA2, but they're far more varied and interesting. The desolator is pretty different. It's more a combination of the toxin rebel from Generals and a bit of new stuff thrown in. All it keeps is the name.

"Teleporting troops in"
*troops teleported*
*5,4,3,2,1*
the good thing is if youdont have the cutscenes, the countdown is timed correctly.
@andrewames247 oh i see, and the best strategy to do this is to make more and more units continuously and send them to attack, right? but thanks again.
Yes. I think that the creatures of the game are allow this error. To my regret is not only this mission ! Some allied missions have the same problems.
I'm a soviet player and used to explore the best tactics for that faction. Even though I don't easily share my secrets, there are some things I want to say. Remember playing this as a kid :D
how did u put the spy in your own barrack?
Your play was so incredible!
Nice play :)
Red alert 2, this is the final mission of the first games campaign for the allies.
@CKFMproductions I remember there was this chinese website, but i since i can read chinese you might have a hard time. The bad thing is that it's only chinese and if you like cut scenes, there aren't any.
@GhostP69 what makes RA3 horrible? The better graphics? the better effects? the better gameplay? the better storyline? the upgrade is always better
My childhood!
naturewoodfb My early 20s-hood.
Dude i played it when i was 7-9 for days!
Such a fun game!
Just completed the allies campaign for the first time in 10 years. Brings back memories. Had to play Chronostorm over and over because of the difficulties in defense and offense against 3 bases.
naturewoodfb I was 14-15 when this came out, I miss those days of gaming
+TheRealHero1 I started playing it when I started going to elementary school, now, after 10 years I still play it, bring me tears and the feeling of nostalgia, such a fun game
for the spy get into your own barrack things, its a bug abuse, you can even doing it on your battle lab and war factory too
just based on replayability alone, for me, this is the best mission of any game i have ever played.
I've never beaten the level that fast!!! Good stuff.
"Kirov Reporting"
Epic!
which is why I only play yuri's revenge online :P
@yoshq6 how did you do the thing when your spy "spied" your own barracks?
nice never figured crons could work so well
@firemario876 He used a bug. It involves using waypoint mode.
