Why people have to compare? There is no comparation. Cheng Yi is one of a kind, great talent, extraordinary character and lovely face! (Is he a genuine martial artist?) Never watched Chinese dramas before, they were so badly made and the performers were so uninspired. Cheng Yi changed all those. Had watched over thousands of western movies/dramas/plays/series, and had never found one that's so into the characters and giving himself completely for a role. Daniel Day-Lewis was a rare found. Still, Cheng Yi is not just up to his standard, he has some special qualities that others lack (sorry Daniel!) His facial expressions - the eyes, the mouth ... even his ears can act! Try to watch his little gestures, you will find out those are so unique. Have you ever seen anyone like that? Lots of actors and actresses try to imitate, winking their eyes, raising their eyebrows, twisting/smacking their lips ... hey, it is just not the same. As there is no new Cheng Yi's drama, tried to watch whatever were available, especially with performers who appeared in Cheng Yi's dramas before. Sorry, can't even finish the first episode for some of those. Never been anyone's fan, which might have to change. However at this age? haha.
Cheng Yi very focus when into the acting role, he can express different feelings like crying or happy moments, even in relationship in drama also can make viewers feel he is so deeply in love with the female lead, not much others can have such acting skills. Others when crying is always the same expression don't you think so? I feel Zhao liying and Luo yunxi also such actress and actor that can attract viewers like Cheng Yi. ❤❤❤
