The answer is an effective NO use a contactor.
It's a NO because you connect the float switch in series with the pump or motor and depending on size of the motor and the distance of cable on the floatswitch., That will cause a voltage drop and eventually cable heats up and burn.
There fore use a contactor

Yes....But thats if you want to AUTOMATE your pump.
you ll insitall a float switch in reciever tank to control the pump in the Well.
